"Mourning someone who isn't dead"
a 90's underground rapper and a sad moping 1800s poet should transcend time and space to team up to write songs together
underground rapper adds beats to poet's work and poet takes on the challenge of adding musical elements to his poetry and idk they like find out they're more similar then they thought and kiss or something
call me neurodivergent but the chiikawa and disco elysium parallels are actually making me crash out like both are stories abt how there is always hope and beauty in the small things and that there is always friendship and hope no matter how fucked you are and both have themes on how work culture and society destroys people
but one is fed to you by the cute creatures spoon and the other is fed to you by the middle aged bisexual alcoholic saving a city about to be consumed by The Fog spoon
the ghost of you

JEAN VICQUEMARE: “...We’ve been partners for how long, Harry? Don’t answer that—you don’t remember.”
it's too late for us
The minecraft movie should have been a minimal-dialogue indie film with heartwrenching soundtrack about a man utterly alone learning to survive in a strange world not remembering anything of his past and his future is up to him to build.

i feel like there SHOULD be a parallel on how jean wears a blonde wig to connect to harry and dora/dolores with blonde hair being idolized by harry
its definitely not the first time someone's posted about this but jean is like an ironic parallel to dora because like dora, jean is harry's ""savior"" and is subject to all his issues but unlike dora who harry obsesses over, puts on a pedestal and idolizes, he's told to fuck off and bear all his emotional weight and is incredibly bitter and jaded as a result
and harry only idolizes dora because she left and isn't here anymore. jean's patience is abused and he is treated harshly because he still manages to stay and begrudgingly clean up after harrys shit like dora probably once did
while dora is characterized by harry as dolores dei, fictional, kind, and godlike jean's reaction to harry is realistic and the damage inflicted by harry is still fresh. he's much less forgiving than dora is and he's tired and vocally depressed
jean does have a halo signifying his "saviorlike" position to harry, but its black and square and bitter; and holy, he has blonde hair, just like dora! except its a joke jean attempts to cheer harry up that harry doesn't even get because of his amnesia
jean is like a parody of her
