Practice standing up for yourself; speak your mind and assert your personal boundaries

Do household chores; upkeep your living space

Take care of yourself emotionally and physically

Show support for any mothers in your life, especially new ones; help out when/if you can

Keep a self-love/self-care journal

Make yourself feel pretty/handsome/attractive; wear makeup, paint your nails, style your hair, wear your favorite outfits, etc.

Take a self-care bath or shower

Learn about astronomy; learn about the different myths behind constellations

Show compassion towards others, especially those who are hurting or in need

Showing compassion towards yourself, the same as you do for others

Prioritize your own well-being

Feed the local birds with bird seeds; bird-watching

Keep framed photos of loved ones; put photos of them on your wall, etc.

Eat pomegranate seeds

Have cow print items; own peacock feathers (been told these can be really cheap, actually!)

Give a kind gesture to a loved one; buying a gift, cooking a meal, baking pastries, etc.

Collect gold-colored items; golden ram horns are also a great symbol (maybe draw or paint this, since it's pretty niche)

Buy a bouquet of white flowers, whether for yourself or a loved one

Add honey to your tea, coffee, or other drink; a good drink to try is warm milk with honey and cinnamon mixed in (better than it sounds)

Start a skin/body care routine

I may add more down the line! For now, here's my list of discreet ways to worship Hera. Hope it helps, and take care! 🩵

A drawing of someone standing next to a stick figure painting, thinking "I will do a hobby as stress relief"
The stick figure says, "You have to become good at the hobby or you are WORTHLESS"
The person starts vibrating with a dismayed expression and thinks, *STRESS*

Easy Kitchen Replacements to Include Magic

You wanna step into kitchen magic but are not sure where to start? Let's try something simple; easy switches that you can make to step into the world of kitchen witchcraft.

Tap water -> moon/sun water

Kitchen herbs -> altar herbs

Plain cooking oil -> blessed oil or herb-infused oil

Storebought stock -> homemade stock made with moon/sun water infused with intention and ingredient properties

Plain spatula/spoon -> wooden spatula/spoon with runes carved in or drawn on it

Dried herbs -> fresh herbs (Farmers' markets often have affordable herbs!)

Rinsing produce in tap water -> rinsing produce in moon/sun water

Slicing a line in homemade bread dough -> carving a rune

Growing flowers in your garden -> growing kitchen herbs in your garden

Boiling in tap water -> boiling in moon/sun water (You can make moon/sun water in gallon jugs!)

I have a whole bunch more of these, so let me know if you'd like another post like this one! As always, do your research, be safe, and blessed be.

Marinette Headcannons

Being ladybug aside, Marinette is physically fit. Small six pack, good arm muscles, etc. Being Ladybug definitely helped but, she does gymnastics and ballet which gave her a head-start on strong muscles

She loves (/p) people who're are taller, they can grab things for her and when she's with shorter people she feels obligated to help them

@that-baker-girl is virtually ALL of Marinette's socials. But she's really only on Instagram and Tiktok

Marinette Headcannons

I can 100% see Mari being Bi-romantic with a Femme lean but a grey asexual

Sleep schedule? Never heard of her

Mari listens to pretty much everything, excluding Screamo and songs about death. Those types of songs remind her of her Paternal grandmother

Being born into a Baker's family means she knows how to cook and bake really well

She LOVES horror movie

During pillow fights she's usually the last one standing

She sleeps sprawled out, like arm going this way leg bent other arm over her head and her foot dangling off the edge of her bed. She sleeps everywhere.

When she's sad she goes to her mom, who makes her food.

A little thing that makes her happy is donating the clothes she's make to charity or even some of her baking

She LOVES physical touch

The only thing that really makes her cry are those sad animal ads.

She hates people being rude, especially to her parents

A shocking fact about Mari is that she listens to rap music, and can rap just as fast as the songs she listens to

Other that her biological family, one of the few people she is close to enough to consider family is Luka. He's like the brother she never had.

A bad habit of Mari's is that she doodles on her skin.

Mari is extremely photogenic but gets embarrassed when her photo is taken.

She's good at virtually everything, EXCEPT talking to people she likes ;-;

Mari's morning routine goes as follows:

Get up

Breakfast

Brush teeth

Get dress

Put on concealer to hide her eyebags

Brush her hair

School

One of the few scars or injuries Marinette has is a thin scar on her right hand ring finger from a glass breaking while she was washing dishes when she was 14.

right before high school, i found solar subs and read her guide: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OhShXBZ3rjw4dJGz5Y2XWw3G9vC5Wqyi9JYUsRxj61E/edit#heading=h.sftzdlwdkxu7

and this was pretty much the first eye-opener for me and i realized that i actually had control over my life.

so throughout high school, i've consciously manifested: my head to toe glow up, (people from middle school seriously don't recognize me anymore, i walked up to this girl i knew and had to reintroduce myself.) my sweet 16 party which was HUGE, (i had never had something done like that for me, i got so many expensive gifts that i've been wanting for YEARS) a Macbook, a purse, my boyfriend, (the way we fell in love was truly so adorable it really felt like a rom-com movie, he even said it himself as i was saying affirmations) my boyfriend's parents liking me, my mom to be lenient and nicer, an old friend to come back to me, to get prettier everyday (as i was looking back at some photos from like only a few months ago, i was pretty, but now i'm wayyy prettier and my features are so much more enhanced) tons of clothes, a thinner waist, popularity, good grades, more money, shopping sprees, THERES SO MUCH MORE BUT THIS IS ALL I COULD THINK OFFFFF im living my high school girl dream fantasy life rn

On the topic of not wearing makeup, look, I know it’s hard to give it up. It’s hard when you’ve grown used to how your face looks with it on and you find your natural face to look…..off. Washed out. Not right. Icky. I get it.

But look. I am 42 years old, I have not exactly taken the best care of myself (WAY too much drinking/drugs/partying in my 20’s and 30’s) I don’t exercise nearly as much as I should and I’m just…..man, I’m just making it through each day. I don’t do facials or microdermabrasion or any of that shit. I have a vitamin c facial cleanser, rose water toner, and a vitamin c moisturizer. That’s it. I don’t wear makeup, I don’t do masks and treatments and peels on my face. I wear a sunhat with built in SPF when I’m outdoors and that is literally the full extent of what I do for my face.

And you gyns…..the number of times I have been mistaken for being AT LEAST ten years younger than I am is ASTOUNDING. I gave up makeup and let my skin heal and suddenly I went from “Oh you say you’re in your 40’s? That tracks” to “Bull fucking SHIT you’re 42!!! You’re maybe 30, TOPS, what the hell??” When I was still wearing makeup I once got mistaken for my husband’s MOTHER, okay?? And that man has silver all throughout his fucking hair.

Look, nobody really knows what any particular age looks like on any individual. I’ve known women in their 60’s that passed as peers of mine in my 20’s because they had gorgeous high cheekbones and skin like porcelain. I’ve known teenage boys that looked like fucking narcs. Nobody knows what any age is “supposed” to look like. But I CAN tell you that if you give up makeup and let your skin heal, you will look healthier and more vibrant than you ever have at any point with a layer of chemicals on your face. Maybe you’ll look younger maybe not, who cares? But your skin WILL be healthier, and it will show.

It’s hard to take the first step, and if you aren’t able to do it over a holiday break, you’ll probably have to accept that you’ll get some looks and comments from your peers. But I cannot stress enough how, once you make the adjustment, you’ll grow so used to and in love with your natural face that the idea of putting makeup on will disgust you; it will look weird and clownish and as “not right” as your natural face once did to you.

And the more of us that eschew makeup, the easier it will get for other women to follow in our footsteps. We lead by example and the more of us not wearing makeup there are, the more normal it will seem for other women.

If you can’t give it all up at once, try to scale it back. Ditch the eyeshadow and just do mascara. Ditch the concealer and just do a light foundation. Scale it back at your own pace, but with the end goal always being to completely eliminate it.

You will feel so much better for it. Eventually. Just push through to the other side.
