"Captain Caz MacCallan. UC Highlanders." His eyes shifted between the special ops and the scientists aboard the ship. "This isn't a rescue vessel." The scientist -not bothering to answer the question- turned in surprise at the name, attitude shifting to one of a very pleased man. "Well, well... what a surprise... what a surprise. Not only do I have eyewitnesses to the experiment, but I also have my property returned to me intact. It explains why you survived." He gestured for one of his understudies. "Ah, quickly if you can give me the exact details of what transpired once we released the specimens." "Excuse me?" Property? What was he on about? Specimens?

What is it about anonymously poking fun at others and making them feel shitty for what they enjoy/have created that is enjoyable for people? Does toxicity and negativity really make you feel better? Does it make you smile? Do you enjoy seeing a small fandom dwindling because the members no longer feel welcome?
Everyone who creates and contributes to the HL fandom in any positive way should feel so proud of themselves for helping to bolster the community. A nice comment on a post or a reblog with gushing tags means so much.
Nothing nice to say? Keep your miserable thoughts to yourself.
It's easy to say to 'just block' a blog or tags, but you're delusional if you think an obviously targeted post won't make its way back to that person. People talk.
The lack of empathy is astounding.
"Ah, sorry, Captain. According to protocol the only response I'm allowed is, 'of course you can trust your government'." His face was blank, but he still sighed. He of course knew exactly what they might do with such a creature. Perhaps they were being honest, but it was hard to say. He had worked with the Xeno Science division before they had tossed him out insisting that he was a 'malfunctioning' piece of equipment when he questioned the ethics. It was how he had managed to get bounced around so much from place to place. "I'll keep an eye on the creature until then." He may not be able to do much when the UC got it, but for the time being he could keep it secure.
"As you say, Captain." He couched in front of the crate and observed carefully the creature within. "If we're on the subject then may I ask the question - are you quite comfortable with the idea that the UC may use this creature as a Xenoweapon?" He thought that it was worth mentioning. It wasn't ethical at all, but that didn't stop humans from doing such things. It never ceased to be odd to him the lengths humans would go to simply to kill one another. Overly complicated means at that. One might call it clever, but he thought that it was a waste to kill non-combatants.
It makes me feel like I’m finally living .
