That is… terrifying. I’m not personally against ai, but it has to be used responsibly. It’s a tool to be used, and we have to make sure it’s not using us. This is why it’s so important to teach people what ai is, what it can and can’t do, and how to use it responsibly. Resorting to complete abstinence won’t fix the issue because it won’t keep people from trying to use it, it will just ensure that they are ignorant when they do, and that’s the real danger.

Text-generative ai basically works off of complicated mathematical algorithms. It doesn’t understand what the words that the user puts in or those that it spits out actually mean. It just looks for patterns and extrapolates based off of the input, essentially trying to tell the user what they want to hear.

I was honestly surprised to see that Issue 3 was on the ballot! I thought they had taken it off, but I guess they changed their minds. Good thing I researched it a bit 2 or 3 years ago I guess!

That’s actually a really good point. For most of the discourse I hear about what one would do if they somehow magically gained a MILLION dollars, not to mention a BILLION, responses typically involve never having to work again.
