i really love the fact that we don't know what species he is aside from being an orange mop because it makes his character even more intriguing. he could be over 1000 years old. he could know so much more than what he lets on. is he actually that gullible most of the time? when is he playing the part to secretly ruin the bad guy's plan? he's such a harmless sweetheart, but he's actually freaky. we literally know nothing about the guy. also the mime ghosts?? remember those???? what the hell was THAT??? WHY DO THEY ALWAYS TERRORIZE HIM WHAT IS THAT MAN'S STORY

first things first i like to think some of his fur? whiskers?? work kinda like a cat's: he can detect some movement that's happening close by

claws
he probably has retractable claws or he trims them almost every day so he isn't a menace to society (or to Sylvia's skin)
and the OCD thing
i might make a whole entire character analysis about it but for now just know his cuckoo behavior is exactly like me when im doing compulsions and i feel seen😩

The Traveler Gang

meet the Traveler Gang, since i don't have a more creative name for this:
in a not too far away future, the fish of Bikini Bottom start to slowly move out of town, and day after day, the city becomes more and more abandoned. follow the journey of SpongeBob and friends as they travel around the vast ocean, trying to find a new home. where will they go? why would they ever leave their life behind? what the kelp is going on?
well, if anyone wants to find out, i'll post short comics about their new day-to-day life, mainly in the format of an open ask.
as the "plot" progresses, more characters will become available for asks, so stay tuned for updates.

glad that you've asked, because i got quite a few ideas:
my main projects are a Spongehenge centered AU, and a Dying For Pie AU
from my choice of episodes, it's obvious they're all gonna be a little darker than what this heartwarming show is used to. i'm not too big on wholesome content, haha
but don't worry. i might break the depressing mood by joining the Tumblr culture and creating an Ask for each AU. i also have ideas for shorter stories that will follow SpongeBob's lighthearted silliness.
