Title- Blood Bag
It wasn’t often that you saw your boys fight, where their playful banter turned serious and fangs elongated and eyes turned that golden yellow that sent chills up your spine.
“You got to feed from her yesterday, man,” Paul growled from next to you, hand on your thigh as he argued with Marko, “I’m thirsty too.”
“We’re all thirsty, Paul,” David scowled from his wheelchair, hands gripping the armrests to physically restrain himself. “It’s not your turn.”
“(Y/n) isn’t an object,” Dwayne chimed in, despite being on edge and tensed he was the only one who was thinking rationally as he took in the smell of fear from you.
The more tense they got, the more on edge you got. Like a bunny cornered by a wolf, ready to dart out the next opening it could find.
“I never said she was,” Paul’s grip on your thigh tightened, making you wince.
What made these fights the worst was that they always centered around you. You wished that they would be able to push their hungers aside and talk rationally, however, as a human you thought best to not butt in to their arguments. Until now, as Paul’s grip became bordering painful as his elongated nails dug into the meat of your thigh.
Gripping his hand in your own, you paid Marko’s new argument no mind as you carefully pried Paul’s hand off of you, frowning at the indents in your skin.
“You boys do know I’m not the only human in Santa Carla, right?” You broke their argument, even though saying the words themselves made an anxious pit form in your gut.
You just wanted them to stop fighting, to satisfy their hunger and come back to you as the playful, soft- not that David would ever admit it-, kind people that they usually were around you.
They were hungry, needing blood to fill their appetite and some nights even draining an adult person wasn’t enough for their bellies. Sharing itty bitty ounces of your blood between them wasn’t going to cut it. Not in the long-term, anyway.
“Why don’t you just go drink from someone else? Or multiples,” You anxiously began to fiddle with Paul’s fingers as the cave grew eerily quiet.
You thought the fight had now been done and over, as they all stared at you wide-eyed. You interpreted it as a look of astonishment, a ‘how could we not have seen this before’ until Marko spoke up.
“(Y/n)…” He breathed out, almost like a whimper.
“Why would you suggest that?” David asked, his own expression going neutral again but as his eyes shifted from yellow back to the lovely icy blue tone you adore, you could see the sadness behind his gaze.
You shrugged, keeping your gaze down at your hand holding onto Paul’s, “I can’t meet your needs, not even close,” It hurt to say it, your heart stinging as you admitted out loud that you can’t provide for them in an equal manner in which they provide for you. They took you in when you had no one, provided you a safe haven of warmth and security.
“I know I can’t, and it would be easier for you all to find a donor or even to just find someone to drain like how you did before,” You kept your head low, avoiding their stares.
“Besides, like you’ve said before David, I’m just a blood-bag right?” You felt the back of your eyes sting, “You can just replace me, or add in someone else to this equation.”
David stood from the wheelchair, the definitive sound of his leather trench coat signaling that he was approaching you before his boots spilled into your line of sight.
“Look at me, little one,” He softly ordered, and of course no matter how upset you were, you followed it. Looking up to him, you bit the inside of your cheek as you tried to look nonchalant.
“I thought we made this clear, you are the only one we will feed from.”
Feeding.
That word again.
A blood source from them, an easy way for them to fill their bellies before running whatever errands Max had for them.
Each time that word spilled from their lips, you wanted to yell out that you weren’t just food. You thought that there was something more between you all, the soft looks and gentle caresses.
Dwayne’s gentle hold on your body as he asked permission before piercing your flesh, Marko’s thumb rubbing on your exposed flesh before his nose ran along the vein, David’s hand cupping your cheek while he asked if you felt alright after, Paul pulling you against his chest so you can nap off the fatigue- acts oh so intimate.
But maybe…Maybe you were naive. Looking too far into those small acts.
“Yeah,” You looked from his gaze towards the fountain, frowning as the word ‘feed’ and all of its variations played in your head. “You like my blood, you’ve said it before.”
Marko approached now, sitting on the other side of you.
“No, (Y/n),” Marko made you look at him as his fingers tilted your chin towards him. “Not just because your blood is delicious, because you are you.” His words made your brow furrow
“The only girl we’d ever want,” Dwayne chimed in, still giving you space but the fond look in his eyes made heat rise to your cheeks.
“I don’t understand, I don’t get what this means,” You looked between all four of them, your brow still furrowed and your lips pulled into a pout.
Paul laughed, not mocking or harsh as he interlaced his hand with yours. “Boys, we haven’t been clear enough, she needs us to spell it out.”
“Spell what out–”
“You’re our mate,” David spoke, and when you looked to face him you expected a smirk on his face, his signature cockiness and arrogance on display as the leader of the group- but no, his expression was soft.
“I’m your what–”
“Our mate,” Dwayne piped up, now approaching. “Not our buffet, not our blood bag,” Dwayne’s eyes cut over to David who turned his face away with a huff. “The one we cherish with our heart and seek out above all else.”
“Your mate…” The words felt foreign on your lips, but they made your belly feel warm and full as Marko made a sound of agreement from beside you.
“We will work out the feeding issue,” David made a pointed look to Paul and before he could say another word, Marko beat him to the punch.
“But please don’t ever question your standing with us, and why we want you around.” Marko grabbed ahold of your unoccupied hand, lacing it with his own.
“Do you understand now, little one?”
“I think I do.”
“Good,” David leaned in and pressed a tender kiss to the crown of your head. “Now, we’ll be back,” David stood to his full height. Would their victims taste like garbage in comparison to your sweet crimson nectar? Absolutely. However, they needed to satiate their blood thirst, and you needed alone time to deal with this information.
“When will you be back?” You couldn’t help but ask, not used to being left behind.
“Soon, we’ll bring you back some (F/Food).”
And as they each gave you their own personal farewell, you couldn’t help but fidget in place.
“We’ll be back before you know it,” Dwayne said, lifting up your hand to kiss at your knuckles.
“You promise?” Fear still lingering that this whole conversation was somehow one grand prank and they’d come back with another woman, declaring her as your replacement then laughing at you for believing them.
Dwayne paused, looking into your eyes. “I promise, we will always come back to you.”
A soft smile blossomed on your face as he swore they would return, the sincerity in his eyes melting your concerns as you nodded and reached out to grab one of Paul’s cuddle blankets.
“Don’t make me wait too long,” Your words had an underlying meaning as you snuggled into the surprisingly clean material, eager to discuss more about this mate situation when they came back.
“We wouldn’t dream of it, sweet cheeks.” Paul winked at you before Dwayne pushed him up the stairs.

watching a horror movie with the lost boys
Summary: Movie night and some questions about genre…
A/N: I love this request so much! Thank you!!
Tags: short and sweet, movie night
TW: a wee bit of swearing, mention of scary/horror movies
1k words
The boys would let you pick the movie, because you were a little more in the times than they were – also, the last time Marko picked, the movie was absolutely terrible. Just God-awful.
Of course, you still wanted to get suggestions from them, and see what the vibe was that evening. David suggested a Western, and a gritty noir film, and you could just feel Paul’s eyes roll when David, in his deep sort of drawl, said he liked the camera angles, the lighting, etc.
So then you asked Paul what he wanted to watch, and he promptly began to list rockumentaries, underground indie hits, and a surprising amount of boxing films.
You were pleasantly surprised by the deep wisdom these two had about movies (they had a lot of time to watch them, you supposed), and decided to ask Dwayne and Marko next.
Dwayne was silent for a minute, after you asked him what he wanted to watch, and took this question very seriously. He began to list award-winning movies with serious narrative prowess, along with some pretty deep, heart-wrenching family dramas. You definitely remember crying because of a few of them. “I mean, The Godfather is always a good choice,” he added, to which you enthusiastically agreed.
You moved on to Marko, who was cutting out pieces of fabric for one of his many craft projects. You stayed and helped him out a little bit, and then started talking about the movie night planned for later. He began listing his favorite rom-coms, which you also loved. He then listed some intense action and spy movies, and he honestly just went on and on.
These boys definitely spent a lot of time in Max’s Video Store.
After thinking about what the boys suggested/recommended, you realized, to your utter astonishment, that literally none of them suggested a movie that was even remotely scary. No horror films were mentioned, at all.
Picking a horror film would be great, you realized, because then you wouldn’t feel torn between recommendations or genres. It would be something entirely different from what everyone suggested, and they might actually enjoy it.
~
The time had arrived. Movie night!
You had rented the film earlier that evening, as soon as it was dark and you could go outside. You were happy with your choice, absolutely proud of it, as it was a horror film that came out relatively recently. You had heard great things about it, and even the clerk at Max’s store said, “Good choice,” with which you felt vindicated.
“Okay boys, gather ‘round,” you said excitedly, humming a jaunty tune as you placed the VHS tape into the player. You smacked the TV screen so it would turn on, and the movie started to play. You sat on the vintage, sort-of ripped fabric couch between Dwayne and Paul; David had moved his wheelchair throne thing so it was adjacent to the couch, and Marko sat on a beanbag chair he found at a flea market, in front of Paul.
Paul and Marko definitely ate all of the popcorn before the movie started, but, it was probably for the best. Jump-scares and all. Choking hazard, to say the least.
As the movie went on, and became scarier and scarier past the exposition, Paul scooted ever closer to you, and Dwayne clutched your hand. Marko had stopped commenting completely as he became entirely engrossed in the film. You could hear David breathing, almost raggedly, as he anticipated jump-scare moments. He also put down his cigarette, which was something.
The first jump-scare was chaotic; the popcorn bowl went flying out of Marko’s hands, Paul did a little yip, Dwayne closed his eyes, and David jumped in his chair and then started chuckling.
It was a grand old time, watching this horror film with the boys, and it was scary, and fun, and felt like an adventure (what didn’t, with the boys?).
~
After the movie ended, everyone gave their respective thoughts about what they just watched:
“You know, I liked it!” Marko said with enthusiasm, as he inspected the VHS tape for more information about it.
“That wasn’t scary,” Paul started to say, and you gave him a look. “Okay, maybe it was a little scary.”
Dwayne was next to share his thoughts. “I really liked how they filmed it. The artistry of it.”
“That was damn good. Great choice, Y/N,” David touched your arm as he said it, passing by to get a cigarette.
“Okay, so you all liked it. Why in the hell do you not watch more scary movies?” You asked, genuinely wanting to know. Genuinely, a bit confused as to why they don’t. They’re vampires.
Paul sighed, crossing his arms over his AC/DC cutoff tee. “We don’t like how vampires are usually depicted in films.”
“It’s really hard to find a good one,” Dwayne added.
“We didn’t have someone like you around to actually find a good one,” Marko said, wrapping his arm around your shoulders. “Plus, we can never agree on anything. Or David just decides to pick.” He pointedly looks over at David, who is wholeheartedly enjoying his cigarette.
David temporarily pauses, not looking guilty at all about that fact. “Hey, I mean, if no one can agree on anything, then I’ll just pick. Makes things easier.”
Movie night became a regular thing, and you always ended up picking what to watch. And more often than not, the movie was a good choice.
This but I can only tell you around the places I've barely been😭

Okay here is the final installment of the 'Here To Stay' series..? I guess.
Here To Stay (Dwayne)
TW: Death, cancer, suicide
I laid on my bed, the whole house silent. The only living thing in here now, was me. It has been a whole month since my mom died and I felt so completely numb. My mom and I both knew that it was coming for a while now. Stage 4 cancer. Even though I knew it was just a matter of time, I still wasn’t prepared for it. I don’t think anyone could ever prepare for something like that. I had only found out after she had died, that she left everything to me. The money, the house and everything in it. I would give it all up just to see her again. I stared blankly up at the ceiling, nothing really going through my head. Just… Blank. That was until I heard a noise from downstairs. I slowly sat up and just sat there for a few moments, trying to wrack my brain for what could have caused the noise, but I couldn’t think of anything. Deciding that I needed to go check, I slowly got up and made my way out of my room and down the old wooden stairs. I silently cursed as the next step my foot landed on, let out a rather loud creak. Shit. I cringed at the noise. I stayed still for a few moments and listened. Nothing. I let out a quiet breath and continued.
I made my way around the whole of the downstairs but didn’t find anything. “Great. I must be going crazy now.” I muttered to myself as I walked back into the living room. Just as I reached the stairs, about to go back up to my room, someone spoke. “You’re not crazy, princess.” I froze. My eyes wide and my heart beating so fast I could swear it was about to jump out of my chest. Though, through my initial fear, I felt a weird sort of calm and comfort wash over me at the sound of the voice. It was deep, soft and gentle. “Sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.” There it was again. His voice was like honey and I was desperate to drown in it. Suddenly, I realized that I have still yet to move or speak. Slowly, I turned around. My eyes widened even more at the sight before me. There, standing in front of me, was the most beautiful man that I have ever seen in my life. He was tall and had long dark brown hair. His jaw strong and sharp and his nose much the same. His eyes were a gorgeous chocolate brown. As my eyes traveled down, I discovered that, while he was wearing a jacket, he had no shirt on, letting me admire his toned and muscular chest and stomach. He wasn’t overly muscular, but my god was he beautiful.
He had obviously noticed my staring, the corner of his lips pulled up in a satisfied smirk as he let out a light chuckle. My cheeks burned from embarrassment and I quickly looked away. “Sorry.” I quietly muttered. Wait. Why am I apologizing? He is a stranger that somehow got into my house. Snapping my head back up to look at him, my eyebrows knitted together. “Wait. Who are you and how did you get into my house?” I asked him. He thought for a moment before answering. “My name is Dwayne. I uh.. I’m sort of.. Stuck here.” He told me. I watched his face, trying to figure out if he was lying to me or not, but his face only showed honesty. “What do you mean stuck?” I asked, curiously. I hadn’t even realized, but I had walked towards him. I was now standing right in front of him. “I’m stuck in this house. I can’t leave.” He confessed. Dwayne then went into more detail, telling me about what had happened here. The fight, him dying and even about what he and his brothers were before they died.
Dwayne and I were now sitting on the stairs, mainly because I felt a little light headed with all of the information I had just taken in. “You okay, princess?” Dwayne asked me, reaching a hand over and placing it on my knee in a comforting way. I looked up at Dwayne, meeting his eyes. “Yeah, I’m okay. Just processing everything.” I told him truthfully. He just nodded his head in response. After a few moments, a thought occurred to me. “I just realized. I never even told you my name.” I said with a light chuckle. “It’s y/n, by the way.” I added, bumping my shoulder into his, earning a chuckle out of him. God, his smile is so gorgeous.
Dwayne couldn’t believe that he had found his mate. He felt like his heart could almost beat again. You were so beautiful, he had never seen anyone so perfect in his life. The elated feeling of happiness he felt was soon replaced with despair. He was a ghost. He was too late in finding you. He felt like his heart had been revived and then crushed at the same time. He wanted so badly to be with you, to have you as his, because you were his and he was yours, but he knew it couldn’t happen. So, he just resigned himself to watching you as you went on about your life. Years went by, you first moved in when you were seventeen and you were now almost twenty, he had kept track of your birthday. It was then that your mom died. He tried his best to keep his distance still, but his overwhelming urge to be with you and comfort you was too much, so finally, after years of just watching you, he made himself known.
Since that night, Dwayne had been hanging around basically 24/7. Not that I minded it, the exact opposite actually. For the first time since my mom had died, I was happy. Genuinely happy. Over the last couple of months that Dwayne had been around, we had gotten to know each other really well and with that, I had begun to crush on him pretty hard. Well, less crush and more falling completely in love with him. I knew that it was pointless seeing as he was a ghost but I couldn’t help it. Every time I looked at him, heard his voice, saw that adorable and slightly wonky smile of his, I just fell harder and harder. I wish we could have met before all of this. There were times when I thought for a moment that maybe he felt the same way, but my mind always brushed it off and reminded me that no one as amazing as Dwayne could like, let alone love, someone like me.
I was sitting on the couch, reading a book, when Dwayne sat down next to me. “What are you reading?” He asked. I looked up from the book to look at him. I moved the book to show him the cover. He read it and a grin broke out on his face. “Dracula, huh? It’s a good book.” He said, scooting himself closer to me. “So.. You like vampires, huh?” He asked teasingly, a sly smirk on his face as he rested one of his arms along the back of the couch and the other on his thigh. I gave him a dumbfounded look before laughing. This caused him to laugh along with me. “What was that supposed to be?” I asked him as my laughter died down. He just gave me a shrug, the smirk still not having left his face. “A pick up line?” He said. That caused me to stop. Wait. Was he being serious? Was he still just joking around?
Dwayne must have noticed my sudden change as his smirk was quickly wiped from his face and replaced with a slightly worried expression. “Sorry. Have I been reading this wrong?” He asked. It took my mind way too long to catch up with what he was saying, but I finally managed to say something. “Wait. You, like me?” I asked him, still in complete disbelief. Dwayne raised a brow at me and brought a hand to my cheek, letting his knuckles graze the skin. “I thought I was making that pretty clear, princess.” He whispered as he moved his face closer to mine. “Dwayne.” Was all I managed to breathe out as he pressed his lips to mine. I melted into him as he kissed me. I brought my arms up and wrapped them around his neck, pulling him closer to me, not being able to get enough of him. Dwayne pulled back after a while, brushing my hair behind my ear and giving me a soft and loving smile.
“I need to tell you something, princess.” He whispered against my skin as he brought his lips to my neck. “Hmmm?” I hummed in reply, enjoying the feeling of his lips exploring my neck too much to answer with words. “Vampires, we have mates.” He spoke between kisses. “And you’re mine.” He finally said. I felt my heart skip a beat at his words. I pulled back and looked at him. “Like, soulmates?” I asked, wanting to clarify and make sure I knew exactly what he meant. Dwayne nodded. “Yes. Two souls, destined to be together by fate itself. We are two halves of a whole.” The words he spoke made my heart flutter with love and happiness. I couldn’t believe it, but it was true. I smiled at Dwayne and brought him into another kiss.
After Dwayne’s confession a few months ago, I had been on cloud nine, though, every now and then, I would be reminded of the fact that Dwayne was dead and I wasn’t. I would grow old while he would stay the same. It broke my heart to think of that. I wanted to be with him forever, just like this. Just as we are now. A thought occurred to me in times like these. If I died in this house, I could possibly become a ghost like Dwayne. That way, we could be together forever, and be just as we are now. I knew that I couldn’t bring this up to Dwayne. He would absolutely refuse me doing something like that. If I was to do it, I would have to be sneaky about it. He never did pop into the bathroom when I had the door shut. He knew I needed privacy in there and he was respectful of that. That would have to be where I did it. I already had a pretty good idea of how. There were pills in there that I had that would do the job.
That night, I had made up my mind. I would do whatever I had to to be with Dwayne forever. I told him that I was going to take a quick shower as I made my way into the bathroom. I waited a moment before turning on the shower taps then made my way to the cabinet. I took out the pill bottle and stared at it for a while. I can’t believe I’m really about to do this. I started to have second thoughts about it. Not because I didn’t want to be with Dwayne, but because I was scared. Was it going to hurt? I shook those thoughts out of my head. No. I have to do this. I twisted open the bottle and emptied the contents in my hand. I took a deep breath before I started swallowing pills. With every pill I swallowed, my nerves grew. I was scared out of my mind but there was also this little feeling of…. Comfort? I was comforted by the thought of being with Dwayne and nothing being able to tear us apart.
After I was finished, I put the bottle back in the cabinet and actually stepped into the shower, just to wet myself, then got back out. By the time I had come out of the bathroom and was back in my bedroom, I was feeling nauseous, dizzy and my head was fuzzy. Dwayne immediately knew that something was wrong. “Y/n? Are you okay? What happened?” He hurriedly asked, concern laced in his voice. He helped me over to the bed and laid me down. “Come here.” I slurred and clumsily grabbed for him. “Hold me. Please.” I mumbled as I closed my eyes. “Y/n?” Dwayne asked as he laid down beside me and held me. “What did you do?” He whispered. My body felt heavy and thinking, let alone talking, felt so difficult. “Pills” Was all I managed to get out.
Dwayne held my body as he cried. His heart was broken into a million little pieces. “Dwayne.” I said his name from beside him. I was standing beside the bed that he was still laying on. His head snapped up to me, his eyes wide. He let go of my body and gently laid it down before getting up and pulling me into a tight hug. “Why? Why did you do that?” He begged. I felt horrible about the pain that I had brought him but I knew that it was something that had to be done. “I did it for us. I did it so we could be together forever.” I whispered to him. Dwayne pulled back slightly and looked down at me. “What-” It took him a moment for my words to sink in. “Princess. You didn’t have to do that. I would never have wanted you to kill yourself just to be with me like this.” He said to me, bringing his hands up to cup my cheeks. I brought my hands up and placed them over his. “I love you, Dwayne. I would die a thousand times over if it meant I could get even just a chance to spend eternity with you.” I said, barely being about to finish my sentence as he quickly brought me into a long and passionate kiss. My arms moved and wrapped around his neck, his hand moving to my waist. “I love you too, y/n. I loved you before I met you. I loved you before our first meeting. I love you now and I will continue to love you forever.” Dwayne whispered against my lips.
