I felt a lot of nostalgia watching these, one of my favorites. Beautifully rendered and animated inked drawings.
Alice in Wonderland (1951) dir. Hamilton Luske, Wilfred Jackson and Clyde Geronimi
This is absolutely amazing!
I could spend the next couple of years mostly doing Vox Machina art, but I’m juggling things as is, so I tried to squeeze in everything in a four month project. Since the file is so ridiculous I cut it up for posting here, but you can see the whole assembled thing over on my Patreon.
Thank you to my patrons as well for sticking with me during this project! I’ll cover the last quarter of the painting, from Kashaw and Lyra (under the white dragon) and down to the end, in one of this month’s tutorials.
One of my favorites
The Church at Auvers, 1890, by Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890)

Into the World of Vincent van Gogh
The exhibition in the Atelier des Lumières is unlike many others, as it aims to immerse art lovers by completely surrounding them with the artworks by projecting the paintings on the surface of the walls, flooring, and everything inside the building.
One particular exhibit features the famous Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890), a perfect candidate for this type of experience. The walls and flooring are illuminated with his masterpieces and visitors seemingly become part of them, standing against the rich colours and moving pieces of the works. The exhibitions aims to explore both the life and works of Vincent van Gogh, categorizing and highlighting parts of his life. The visuals are accompanied by both commentaries and music pieces which provide context to it all.

“When I discover who I am, I’ll be free.”

God I love him and his work! He was a brilliant yet sadly troubled man. P.S. just watched Loving Vincent: It was Brilliant!

This looks kind of like a rain chain

“Let someone dangerous in for tea. Make small signs that say “yes” and spread them all over your house. Become a friend of freedom and uncertainty…Take a lot of naps…Dream wild, imaginative dreams. Draw on walls. Read every day. Imagine you are enchanted. Giggle with children. Listen to old people…Be free. Praise yourself. Let go of fear. Play with everything. Preserve the child in you.”
- Joseph Beuys

This is so beautiful, awesome work!
“Hope” by Lilian Myburgh of South Africa.
I have always had a love of what we now call “Steampunk”; ever since the first time I read Jules Verne.
This bold, graphic quilt features intricate piecework, excellent use of contrast and free motion quilting. I love how if feels antique and modern at the same time.

Still obsessed with this book. LOOK AT THE DESIGN. Its made to look like an old library book with margin notes and extra stuff like postcards, letters and news articles. I mean… it can’t get any cooler than this.
Cool pics, but it is clearly fabric in each one.
Ectoplasm. Ectoplasm denotes a substance or spiritual energy “exteriorized” by physical mediums. Ectoplasm is said to be associated with the formation of spirits, and is to be formed by physical mediums when in a trance state. This material is excreted as a gauze-like substance from orifices on the medium’s body and spiritual entities are said to drape this substance over their nonphysical body, enabling them to interact in the physical and real universe. Some accounts claim that ectoplasm begins clear and almost invisible, but darkens and becomes visible, as the psychic energy becomes stronger. Still other accounts state that in extreme cases ectoplasm will develop a strong odor. According to some mediums, the ectoplasm can not occur in light conditions as the ectoplasmic substance would disintegrate. Ectoplasm is considered to be a hoax, made from cheesecloth, gauze or other natural substances.
