I really enjoyed rereading this series recently with my gf. It's so cute and wholesome, and really good coffee propaganda actually. Also! The audiobook is so fun! I love that the author got to do all the voices 🥰
Im about 100 pgs in! I'm absolutely entranced by Kim's depiction of ballet. I know nothing about ballet schools or the like, but I feel like I do now!! The book is so dreamy and atmospheric, and I love how draws you into the MCs mind.
The story telling jumps between past and present. I'm starting to see our MC really start to fracture as she comes to terms with what she went through when she returns to her home and is faced with familiar people and places. A deeply relatable feeling tbh when you return to your hometown ☠️
Current read! The closest I'll get to being a ballerina.
I turn to Ares.
Thanks to Tyler Miles Lockett who allowed me to draw inspiration from his ARES piece for page 2! Look at his etsy page it's SICK

HATE when there's an objectively cooler word for what you want to say but you can't use it because it's "archaic" or "obsolete" 🙄 Okay well my best friends from the 1600s say it sounds fine.
I'm back on my bullshit (the bullshit being bad TLT memes)
Yo! I'm Kris (they/them)! I'm a queer scientist who loves to read, play TTRPGs, and do art. ✨a reading blog✨
