My name is my mission, and my mission is... Anarky!
Happy Halloween!
FINALLY! The Perfect Mask...
I got this from Spirit Halloween and painted it a golden yellow color I got from Lowe's conveniently next door. I think it is a major improvement over the other mask I had. What do you guys think?
More of my Anarky Costume. How does it look?
It's almost finished.....
My Design for Lady Shiva
This is a design I made for Sandra Wu-San a.k.a Lady Shiva. It's meant to be a fusion of two of her looks; her design from Gail Simone's run on Birds of Prey and her design from Batman: Arkham Origins. How does it look?
My Design for Anarky
This is a design I did for Lonnie Machin a.k.a Anarky. I decided to blend his two major looks; his caped outfit from the 1990s and his trench-coat outfit from the 2010s. How does it look?
Red Hood / The Jokester (Earth 3)
Welcome to Earth 3, one of the craziest and darkest Earths in the multiverse. This is a world where those destined to be paragons of Justice & Honor instead devolved into symbols of Terror & Doom. But likewise, those destined to be symbols of Terror & Doom instead chose to be paragons of Justice & Honor. One such example is Gotham City's heroes. Their original hero was the Red Hood, a swashbuckling vigilante who brought much-needed justice and freedom to a city crushed under the oppressive fist of Owlman. Armed with a grapple hook/sword cane, razor-sharp playing cards, & his upbeat and jovial attitude, he patrolled the streets of Gotham, fighting evil wherever he saw it. No one ever knew who he truly was, but they never cared. All that mattered to the good citizens of Gotham was that he was there to help and protect them. Unfortunately, his career ended after Owlman figured out who he was. Wanting to rid himself of this perpetual thorn in his side and make a statement to all of Gotham, Owlman tracked Red Hood down to his home, murdered his pregnant wife, and then dragged him to the Ace Chemical plant. He then tied Red Hood up and beat him savagely while live-streaming the entire thing for all of Gotham to see. He then unmasked Red Hood before throwing him over the railing into one of the chemical vats. All of Gotham mourned the death of their guardian, feeling as though their hope died with him. Fortunately, their hopes wouldn't die for long. About a month later, a new hero appeared in Gotham going by the monicker of The Jokester. No one knew for certain who he was, but he vaguely reminded them of the Red Hood, though they certainly had their differences. Red Hood is a mysterious swashbuckling rogue out of a romance novel, whereas The Jokester is a manic trickster with a slightly twisted sense of humor. Red Hood also hid his face behind a mask while Jokester struts around with his face for all to see. The Jokester also wields more gadgets, all with his signature comedy theme; including his primary sidearm, his firework-shooting jester staff. He also seemed to have a specific vendetta against Owlman, openly targeting him and his supervillainous protege, Talon. If Red Hood was an annoyance to Owlman & Talon, then The Jokester was his arch-nemesis. After a few years of the two being caught in a never-ending game of Cat-and-Mouse with each other, Jokester went from a one-man act to a player on a global scale when he was offered a seat in the Legion of Justice, led by the superhero billionaire Alexander Luthor.
Who knew a misanthropic eco-terrorist could be so zen?
Batman #151 (Absolute Power Tie-In)
PYRA
Ember Crawford was born into a poor family in Glasgow, Scotland. Her father worked in Steel Mill as a smelter while her mother worked in a brewery. After her great-grandfather died, her family inherited the decaying Crawford Clan castle in the Scottish Highlands. While living in the castle, Ember spent a lot of her time in the castle's humongous library, reading books about knights battling the incarnations of evil. She loved every single story, and would often play knights and dragons with the family dog. When she turned 12, her father told her about their family history. Their ancestors used to be Templar knights back during the Crusades, and they used to be very rich up until the 1980s. Inspired to uphold her family legacy, Ember dedicated herself to learning the ways of the knight. She excelled in school, scoring at the top of her class in literature and sports. She took up sword-fighting in her spare time and soon became one of the best in the country. After she graduated from college, she moved to America to rebuild her family's fortune by working as the curator of the Natural History Museum in Washington, DC. A decade later, Ember had built up quite a successful life in America and was very close to achieving her goal of rebuilding her family fortune. She also worked as a part-time sword-fighting instructor. One day, Jackson Carlyle (a.k.a) Bonfire would make a decision that would change the lives of so many people. Seeing that the supervillain population has exceeded that of the heroes, Bonfire made a risky decision to sell the Super Power serum at a consumer level. Whoever wants to be a hero will be allowed to purchase it and will receive training from the Carlyle Corporation to master their powers as well as defending themselves. Seeing the ultimate way to fulfill her dream, Ember decided to sign up for the super program and was given the superpower serum. Her powers were the ability to control and manifest fire. Wanting to be a sword fighter as well as a flame thrower, she signed on for lessons from Ryuko and Bonfire to become the hero she always wanted to be. A few months later, Ember made her superhero debut to the world as Pyra, the flaming knight of honor.
LADY LOTUS: REFORMED SUPERHERO
After losing everything during the events of Assassin-Nation, Lady Lotus is imprisoned beneath Carlyle Tower in a cell in the middle of a 50 ft deep tank of water. When she finds out that Ryuko has now become the queen of New Tokyo, she feels a strange sense of satisfaction that her greatest nemesis was able to do what she could not. Realizing that she completely wasted her life, Himiko Murakami's ego finally shatters. Now left with a deep desire to fix her ways, she plans to escape and become a superhero. Her chance comes sooner than she expected when someone opens her cell and lets her escape. Unfortunately, this anonymous source isn't here to help her. It wants to destroy her. Why? Out of sheer absolute boredom. The Midas Collective is a cabal of rich assholes who meet up every month and use their infinite resources to destroy someone's life for their own amusement. Some days, it's a politician; others, it's an innocent man. This year their victim is Lady Lotus. They don't plan to kill her, they plan to destroy her entire life and then kill her. After freeing her from prison, they let her head to one of her safe houses before blowing it up with a missile. This does inspire Lotus to be heroic and save everyone caught in the blast. The Collective then kidnaps every single one of her assassins, letting Himiko know by sending her Viper wrapped in a bomb vest with a deadman's trigger. After Himiko saves Viper with the help of Mariko Murakami, they follow Viper to where the assassins are being held: in the abandoned Murakami Manor, which has been converted into a funhouse maze full of the Murakami family's sins. They find the assassins at the end of the maze strapped to the wall and rigged with bombs wired to their hearts. In 2 minutes, everyone will die. Or Himiko can kill the assassins via electrocution and save herself. Unable to choose, the assassins chose for her and kill themselves with poison capsules. All Himiko can do is cry in utter shame at the deaths of all of her surrogate children. After that, Himiko tracks down every member of the Midas Collective and exposes their crimes. Running out of people and resources, the leader, Midas, gets desperate and tries to assassinate Ryuko, but fails thanks to Himiko informing the heroes ahead of time. Himiko nearly kills him as revenge but loses the nerve when Midas cowardly begs for death to avoid going to prison. Lotus ultimately decides to spare him to prove that she truly has changed. After a long discussion, the heroes reluctantly give Lotus a chance at redemption on their time. It took a few years, but Lotus slowly managed to prove that she has what it takes to be a true hero, using her superior intellect and martial arts mastery to crack down on criminal operations across Harking City and New Tokyo. To move on from the past, Himiko makes it her goal to make Lady Lotus a force of Justice rather than Vengeance. To do so, she completely changes her design. She abandons the black and orange kimono with the red boots for a black skin-tight coat with tai chi slippers. To still retain her orange theme, she adds orange piping along her coat and pants. She also abandons the geisha makeup for black lipstick and orange eye shadow. She
This design was heavily inspired by Iron Fist (Marvel), Colleen Wing (Marvel), Chun Li (Street Fighter 6), and the show TRON UPRISING. Do you like it, or do you prefer her original design?
SHADOW'S NEWEST DESIGN
Deciding to update her look, Shadow asks the fashionista hero Obscura and her father Lucius Jet to help design her a new costume. After much trial and error, they create a new costume that is bulletproof and resistant to electricity. It also comes packing some new hidden features: A special radar pulse she can emit by pressing a button on her sleeve that amplifies her echo location; Special adhesive boots and gloves that let her cling to and walk on walls; and a retrieval function that allows her to summon her staff if it is ever separated from her hand.
This design was heavily inspired by Tanya & Sindel (MK1), Okoye & She-Hulk (MCU), and Clea (Marvel Comics). What do you think?
My recreation of Alan Grant & Norm Breyfogle's Anarky from the 1970s-80s.
BEWARE THE BATMAN COVER
This is just a fun comic cover I made for Beware The Batman. It was heavily inspired by AMAZING SPIDER-GIRL #13.

Katana (Beware The Batman)
I did a few sketches of Katana's original show design. Why not? I do understand why they went with what they made: It's easy to draw and replicate. And it's not bad by any means, just a bit plain. Tatsu has this real elegance to her character, exuding confidence and determination with sprinkles of compassion and wit seen throughout the series. Her completely black design does resemble a ninja, which is how her and Batman are often portrayed as. I just wish her look had more to it, is all.
ANARKY (Beware The Batman)
This is my own redraw of Anarky from the "Beware The Batman" cartoon. While I know everyone has their own opinions on the show (or don't know it exists), I will admit that it has always been one of my favorite Batman shows. One of the most polarizing things about the show is its inclusion of obscure Batman villains like Professor Pyg & Magpie and using them as placeholders for the primary Batman villains. And though I certainly am one to be critical of vast departures in comic-to-screen adaptations, I am willing to forgive certain decisions if they make sense or at least have good reasoning. Case in point: The show's depiction of Anarky.
I will admit that this is kind of a terrible Anarky. He's not a politically conscious teenage anti-hero/anti-villain who masquerades as an adult to further his political rebellion and has an on/off relationship with the Bat Family. Instead, he's basically the show's answer to The Joker. And while I normally wouldn't be so forgiving of such a change to a character that I like and respect, I am willing to accept it if what they make is at least good. And while this isn't a good Anarky, IT IS A GREAT VILLAIN. One thing I like so much about this Anarky is that they basically made him the "Anti-Batman". He dresses in a nearly accurate costume to Batman's, save for it having a hood, an "A" as its symbol, and being entirely white. He even has similar gadgets, though made to kill people as opposed to Batman's non-lethal gadgets. He's also a master combatant who can hold his own against Batman (He was basically the proto Nemesis). I also like how they use him as a Joker placeholder while still making him his own character. Instead of being a maniacal mass-murdering cartoon villain dressed in a purple tuxedo, he's a much more reserved and calculated mastermind who often manipulates others into unknowingly doing his bidding; like when he tricked Batman and Lady Shiva into nearly unleashing an epidemic or when he teamed up with Harvey Dent to take down Batman, which led to the latter getting scarred and becoming Two-Face. He's also not clown-themed in any way, instead going for more of a Chess theme with him as the "White King" and Batman as the "Black King". I also really like his portrayal by Wallace Langham. Instead of being a very off-the-wall over-the-top hammy performance, he's soft-spoken and mellow, but with hints of malice behind his voice. He kind of sounds like Neil Patrick Harris if he had Schizophrenia. Anarky barely ever loses his cool and hardly ever raises his voice, which adds to his menace.
That's all I have to say really. What are your opinions of "Beware The Batman" or this version of Anarky?
More Pics Of My Redesigned Katana
My Redesign of Katana (Beware The Batman)
I suppose I've been on a sort of "Beware The Batman" kick recently. Yesterday I redrew the show's interpretation of Anarky. Today, I did the same for my favorite character from the show: Tatsu Yamashiro a.k.a. Katana. Tatsu is easily one of the best characters in the show; a former CIA mole in the League of Assassins who stole the Soul-taker Sword and faked her death when she discovered how powerful it was. She was then hired by her godfather Alfred Pennyworth as Bruce Wayne's bodyguard, a job that she excels very well at. After the League of Assassins made their way to Gotham and infiltrated Wayne Manor, they discovered Tatsu was not only alive but also possessed the Soul-taker Sword, they make it their mission to kill her and get the sword back. Long story short; they fail and Tatsu finds out that Bruce Wayne is Batman, who then takes her under his wing as his new partner in crime-fighting, Katana. Tatsu works very well as a contrast to Batman: stubborn, feisty, a tad arrogant, and more than a little stand-offish. But underneath it all, she is clever, quick-witted, good-natured, compassionate, self sacrificing, and truly heroic.
Though I certainly love Katana, I will admit that she has one truly noticable flaw: her design. I understand that computer animation was different back then (especially when you don't have quite enough of a budget to do more visually), but her design is quite boring. Tatsu never changes her clothes throughout the entire series. She doesn't even really have a "Costume". She just wears the same leather jacket and high-heel boots (which just seem impractical for her), but puts on a domino mask and sword strap when she becomes Katana. So I decided to fix that. My idea wasn't to just give her a samurai outfit, though. I instead took inspiration from her history in this universe as a CIA operative and gave her something a spy might wear. Instead of her outfit being all black, it's a reinforced black leather jacket and pants with red ribbing along the sides to add a bit of color. I got rid of the high heels and replaced them with black combat boots, like Batman. I also added black gloves and a utility belt to her outfit to break up all of the black and red, but also to give it a more tactical look. I also gave her a hair bun, as it just seems impractical to let her hair hang down and wave about during combat.
What do you think? Does it look better or worse? Tell me in the comments.
Villains: Illusionist (Updated)
Not much is known about this mysterious enigma, not where he comes from, or how he got his powers. The only thing everyone knows is his motivation and how powerful he is. He’s a man who claims to have seen where humanity is going and how everything is going to end, and he doesn’t like it. He seeks to use his mind manipulation powers to take control of the world and move humanity in a direction that avoids armageddon in his eyes. Despite his seemingly well-meaning intentions, Illusionist isn’t above torturing his enemies both mentally and physically and even seems to take a sadistic pleasure in it. He also doesn’t kill unless it’s necessary, but when he says that, he means he doesn’t kill with his own hands. He instead usually kills people by hypnotizing people into committing suicide when he either no longer needs them, or if they simply annoy him. He eventually formed the supervillain team W.A.R, recruiting various terrorists, gangsters, criminals, and freaks to his side. He offered them all the ability to fulfill their dreams if they worked for him, promising them the privilege of shaping their own paradise in his new world after he's managed to conquer all life on planet Earth. One of his biggest disciples was Lady Lotus, who eventually carried on as the leader of W.A.R after Illusionist met his tragic end during a battle with the heroes.
