Animal Crossing: New Leaf (2012)
ik u don’t click links or use tiktok but i wish i had a way to show u this specific video bc it rlly made my blood boil. a trans ‘girl’ starts the vid by saying “day 12 of being a girl” which ig he stole from dylan, went into target and bought a box of tampons, then proceeded to do an ‘unboxing’ in his car and then proceeded to act like a 9 year old boy and say “this thing does not go up inside you. like, where does that go? oh my god what the hell” and just acts so immature, annoying, and basically mocks women the whole video and ppl in the comments are like “she’ll got them in case a woman asks her for one she’s so sweet 🥺” like a woman would see someone who looks like a new york city twink in the bathroom and ask them for anything but poppers.
.
More shows should be like AMC’s “The Terror”. “Oh, you mean they should be tightly written and make heavy use of metaphor and symbolic imagery to communicate truths about complicated characters in high-stakes situations?” No. I mean more shows should strand their main characters in the remote arctic and have them eat each other

It's monstrous how much boys and men love tormenting girls and women. The way so many boys and men actually love scaring and upsetting girls and women on purpose because they think it's funny.
I'm thinking specifically about how I have some phobias of bugs, and I specifically have to hide that from men because once they find out they purposely show me the bugs I'm afraid of to torment me because they think it's funny and cute to torment and upset a woman. Like when one of my male co-workers at my old job found out I was arachnophobic after that he made a point of if he found a spider in the store he'd purposely try to shove it in my face because he thought it was funny and cute to scare me and make me upset. I've had multiple instances of grown male co-workers behaving like this but never a grown female co-worker. Sure, I'm sure there's at least a few grown women in the world out there like that, but for the most part this behavior is only seen in small girls but quickly corrected and beat out of her while men are still tormenting women for fun as grown adults.
Or my mother has a pretty bad phobia of frogs, and she told me a story about how when she was a little girl some boys found out, and they specifically made it a point to collect frogs from outside to throw at her. One time they cornered her in the bathroom and threw buckets of frogs at her, she was sobbing and shaking and having a full blown panic attack while they were laughing. It was for no other reason than they thought it was funny to make a girl upset and scared.
And this ties in with how often if a girl or woman asks a boy or man to stop doing something that bothers her or annoys her they double down and start doing the behavior even more just because they want to upset girls and women. Like schoolgirls asking the boy next to her to stop drumming with his pencils because it's distracting her from being able to pay attention to class, how likely is it he'll actually stop vs just doing it even more loudly and frequently just to bother her? If this is a lifelong pattern for girls this makes girls back off and less likely to stand up to boys and men.
If a girl has for years had a pattern of every time she asks the boys in her class to stop drumming with their pencils while she's trying to pay attention or stop saying gross sexual jokes that make her uncomfortable to her during class or stop poking her and every time they just double down and start doing it even more and even louder or harder just to upset her, is she going to keep asking boys to stop doing things that bother her? Is she going to feel comfortable and safe standing up for herself and asserting her boundaries? Or is she going to get quiet and stop speaking up and hope for the love of god they don't notice the annoyance on her face because if they do that's enough just to make them double down and start doing it more to bother her?
I've seen countless examples of men purposely making women so scared or upset or angry that they're in tears for no other reason than fun and entertainment. Boys and men are fucking sadistic demons. And this keeps girls and women in line, keeps girls and women from being able to stand up for ourselves and assert our personal boundaries to boys and men.
Since it was suggested so many times in regards to understanding why JK Rowling is an evil bigoted transphobe, I've finally watched the Contrapoints video. And it's clearly evident that Contra does not understand radical feminism & hasn't researched it well. That's probably why her "Gender Critical" video was also superficial
Here Contrapoints says that defining womanhood.... Simply doesn't matter.
137k likes on this vid so far and women in the comments are finally speaking up and pushing back🥲🥲🥲🥲
Not trying to go on a rant (and yet already ranting) but I’m sick of people faking that “granddaughters of the witches you couldn’t burn” isn’t an AWESOME feminist catchphrase, and branding it as white feminism because “Karen your granny is a christian conservative” like yesss it’s true my granny is a christian conservative but she also secretly had her tubes tied in an illegal clinic because my grandpa was against birth control, and my great-grandma ran away from home at 15 because her parents were against interracial marriage, and my great-great-grandma fled her country because there were no job opportunities for poor women there, and my other grandma also fled her country because her boyfriend tried to force her to have an abortion and she wanted to have her baby, and my mom never married and chose to raise a child on her own, and I am a feminist butch lesbian, and this is what this quote is about, it’s not about your granny being pagan, it’s about valuing your matrilineal lineage of subversive women, even if their subversion was minimal, because they could have been killed or maimed any time by men for not conforming to gender roles even in the slightest way, after all, the witches who indeed were burned were more often than not also just regular, mostly christian conservative, women that somehow pissed off a man
I also heard the game has antisemitism stuff in it too? Is that true?
all I've seen is long posts decrying terfs for being Nazis because the game that jkr wasn't involved in making has goblins as the red herring villains and a battle horn relic. I'm Jewish and haven't seen anything that makes me think it's intentional antisemitic dogwhistles so much as the reality that goblins as fantasy/folklore stock characters already have a 400+yr history of absorbing European antisemitism, though I did hear that some people fired from the game in early development were found to hold neofasc ideals or something.
The thing is I fundamentally don't care about the game: I don't game and, sure I loved harry potter as a kid, but I was never a superfan or even read/watched any of the sequel/spinoff stuff, and jkr wasn't involved with the game anyway. The only reason I know the amount I know about it is because I'm invested in jkr and the witchhunt against her, not in the neverending cashcow franchise that is HP. To say the least, I'm distressed that even when I'm only looking at jkr I can't avoid seeing 20 people a day cry nazi at anyone who plays a highly anticipated mainstream game on the basis that they're ideologically underwriting a woman they paint as a warlord despite her worst crime against them being an essay.
Idk if the game is antisemitic. I hope it's not, but if it is that sure sucks and is scary. not sure why I'm supposed to have a stronger opinion about it than about any of the other many games that allow you to simulate ww2 while playing as the literal nazis, and I'm not sure why or how the content of this fantasy computer game should impact me or my opinion of jkr when neither of us have shit to do with the game.
amazing how, in the midst of all these accusations of jkr's bigotry, I haven't even seen any names of the people who were actually responsible for the game's content.
no i dont think women starving themselves and reconstructing their entire faces with makeup and plastic surgery is feminism and female empowerment
