c!dream can't read maps. he doesn't understand a lot of big words. politics flies over his head and he tries his best to follow, but the gap in knowledge is evident in every step of the way.

he quotes the lion king at his best friend. he names his beloved horse after a dreamworks character. he sings a mickey mouse clubhouse song when he sees the hot dog van.

c!dream likes flowers, and he loved his parrot. he thinks nudity is funny, and he wants people to think he's cool. he isn't cool: he stumbles over his words, he gets talked over, he doesn't stand up for himself when others put words in his mouth because he knows nobody ever listens.

he named his crossbow a dick joke, then all his tools and armor an edgy version of his name. he built a big scary evil lair — on c!techno's lawn, and then another, for some convoluted, nonsensical plan based entirely on this childish need for things to go back to how they used to be.

he's just a guy. he's 22 years old and he wants nothing more than for everyone else to think he's mature and powerful and great. he's none of that. he's just a young man doing terrible things to others and himself because he's clinging to an idealized past that he will never get back.

If cTechno had a tumblr he would be one of those gimmick blogs. His url would be overthrowthegoverment and all he'd do would be comment "I have a suggestion" on reblogs of anyone complaining about anything.

If cDream had a tumblr he would comment some random shitpost, someone would comment mocking him for being wrong, he would reply with a bunch of references and links to peer reviewed studies proving that not only he was right but also that it was really important that people educate themselves about that subject, and then the version that goes viral is the one without his reply.

The thing about snakes is, and the thing I really like about cc!Dream’s metaphor, is that snakes don’t like to bite. Snakes don’t want, to bite. Especially those with venom.

Biting is risky, biting is a last line of defense. A snake will do literally everything else before that, to scare the danger away. They’ll puff up, flatten themselves, open their hoods if they have one, open their mouths, make themselves look bigger, more threatening. They’ll hiss and buzz their tails and make noise and back up. And when everything else fails, they bite.

And sometimes biting is the only thing that works. It’s the only thing that sticks.

And maybe a snake that just bites is a snake that’s learned that nothing else works.

How long did it take for c!Dream to finally learn that nothing else works? How many other things has he tried? How many other times has he failed?

Watching irritating commentary YouTubers defending Dream is healing a part of my soul that I thought would never be healed still hate that genre of youtube with a burning passion but it’s nice seeing them spread the Dream/pos agenda

I’ve also noticed that in a lot of the videos I’ve seen that are more critical of Dream, the comments are absolutely roasting them and disagreeing/correcting misinfo like it seems like the majority of YouTube is on Dream’s side for this one. never thought I’d see the day 😭
