the things that a lot of y’all assume are “lesbian only” feelings and experiences and tag with “non-lesbians don’t touch” rlly reveals a lot of assumptions u have abt what bi women feel and experience. i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, lesbians and bi women have far more in common with each other than not, and the differences should not be defined without input from bi women themselves
i'm tempted to say "they're dating" but of course the whole point is they're not and that's the tragedy of a century. they are platonic partners, allies in arms, besties for life, love & light in solidarity!
Les4Les:
A lesbian who prefers to date other lesbians rather than other sexualities due to shared experiences. This does not mean they won't date someone of a different sexuality, they just have a preference for dating the same sexuality.
Bi4Bi:
A bisexual who prefers to date other bisexuals rather than other sexualities due to shared experiences. This does not mean they won't date someone of a different sexuality, they just have a preference for dating the same sexuality.
One of my posts about last year's Poison Ivy bi erasure debacle got a like again, and man...
You cannot convince me that fandoms don't have a problem with bisexual people, when the response to a prominent bisexual character seemingly having their bisexuality erased by a new writer calling her a lesbian was calls for celebration, and telling upset bisexual fans to get over it, or trying to gaslight them with claims that "Ivy was never bisexual in the main continuity" despite evidence to the contrary.
Like, fandom has had a biphobia problem for a long time, but I think that incident was probably the most blatant example of it I've ever seen.
