i found out the other day that gwen’s brother has an actual canon design and started freaking the fuck out because making a design for him has been in the back of my mind for over a year. his official unofficial name (just so i don’t have to keep referring to him as “gwen’s brother” over and over is Dax! (feel free to use this name for your own version of him if you’d like! i’ll be starting some tags for him)

anyway, i think cody’s social ineptness combined with the fact that he’s an only child would make for some really awkward interactions with dax. also, since dax is a bit of a rebel and goth himself, i imagine he’d probably have gotten along with duncan really well, and would be a little upset / disappointed at the change from a hardened punk to a softie nerd. eventually they’d warm up to each other and realize they have some stuff in common, i can picture the two of them bonding over video games and making music.

also, i will definitely be drawing cody with gwen’s mom at some point! i feel like’d he’d be a major suckup to her.

Gene headcanons

• Even though he was best friends with Sally , is they were ever asked to pair up he 'd partner with Brad because Sally was always with Lloyd

• While being human and non magical was his father's greatest weakness ( I strongly believe that he's chens son) it's his greatest strength

• He idolized Skylor in a very unhealthy manner as a child , putting her up on a pedestal and doing everything to be like her

• He doesn't have contact with any of the darkley's kids and avoids social media because he doesn't want to see anything about Lloyd and Sally since they're more likely to be famous

• He doesn't speak to Skylor and hasn't in years

• He joined the sons of Garmadon ( yes he was still trying to avoid Lloyd but he knew that he'd never be in a high enough rank to have to fight him )

• He has been arrested hundreds of times but never put in prison

A silly animation I did to practice lightning. I thought it was super cool that it was made canon that Jay’s nunchucks only work when he is using his lightning to connect them. So, somewhat unlike the others, his cant even be used without his power. Its cool underrated side character thingz.
