So. Its a wet race, 5 rookies on the grid, Max and George lining up alongside eachother on the second row, two McLaren's on the front row and Oscar says he'd do anything to win his home race- if you listen really closely you can hear an emergency alarm blaring in the background of this post
Can we collectively agree that infantilizing drivers in real life is weird?
These are grown men. They do not need to be “saved” or “rescued”. They are fully aware of their actions. And even if you think they are making a “mistake” (emphasis on the quotation marks because I really don’t think this aspect of their personal lives is for random strangers to judge), that “mistake” is theirs to make and any potential consequences are theirs to deal with.
They are actual living, breathing people just like all of us. I know sometimes the lines might blur on social media, but I think this is especially important to remember.
Reporter: Does Lawson’s struggle put Perez’s poor performance into perspective?
Max, who spent all of last season defending Checo and fighting a car he hated only to lose Checo and somehow get an even worse car: im going to kill you. with my bare hands.

Elon Musk doing a n*zi salute, Trump declaring he will change the Gulf Of Mexico to the Gulf Of America, ending birthright citizenship, ICE raids starting.
Birthright citizenship is protected under the U.S constitution. This is a slap in the face to all the hardworking immigrants who come to America for a better life for them and their families.
As of now, I’ve seen videos and posts that ICE will begin raids in Chicago. To all my immigrant friends in Chicago, stay safe and know that you have rights in this country.
I’m scared for these next four years. I’m scared for my friends and family, for the people of color, for the LGBTQ community, for the future.
To the Latinos for trump people, remember that you voted for this. You vote will cause so much damage to families. I don’t support all Latinos, some of you are insufferable.
I know I have made several posts about politics, but you have to understand that for me, it has always been politics. My family is going to be affected by all these changes. I hope the day never comes when I get a phone call from a loved one saying my uncle or aunt got taken away by ICE.
Here’s some cities that are going to have ICE raids in the upcoming days:
Stay safe everyone ❤️
America is the land of immigrants!

this is making me appreciate, and miss, how Checo understood very clearly the importance of not allowing POC drivers to be pit against each other. because white fans and F1 media froths at the mouth wanting them to fight one another and push each other out of the sport. They tried so hard to pit Yuki and Zhou against one another when they first got on the grid. That's one of the reasons why Checo was such a vocal supporter for drivers like Yuki and Franco, why he was such good friends with Lewis all these years and why he praises Zhou for the love and support he gets from his home country. It takes so much for a minority driver to get to this sport, why would they ruin it by picking fights with the few other minorities on the grid beside you when you could uplift one another. It supports the drivers and encourages their fans to also get along and support one another if the drivers clearly care about one another as people and friends. It displays the pointlessness of arguing and hurling vitriol every time two drivers have a track incident. And it leaves no room for the F1 media to try to push their agendas.
i’m heartbroken actually
