Medical Pavilion: As ADAM became widely available among the citizens of Rapture, its self-healing abilities changed the use of all of the Pavilion’s healing facilities. Due to the instability of ADAM and excessive use amongst many of Rapture’s citizens, unforeseen physical deformations began to occur. In response, many hospital facilities quickly became replaced by cosmetic surgery facilities such as Dandy Dental and Dr. Steinman’s Aesthetic Ideals.

i had this idea for a bagginshield comic last night and it was so funny that i kept giggling while trying to get to sleep, but i can’t draw to save my life so i’m putting the idea down here, in case any artists i know want to take a shot at it

it was bilbo and gandalf in the first panel, doing the whole “can you promise i will come back?” / “no, and if you do, you will not be the same” exchange

and then the second panel would be bilbo sitting in his armchair with an incredulous sarcastic crumpled-up expression like “okay gandalf O K A Y”

and then it’d be a timecard with 2 years later on it

and then in the third panel, bilbo would be sitting in exactly the same position, but on a throne, and all decked up in jewellery and fine clothes and in a crown, with thorin as king next to him, and he’s just got the funniest expression on his face like “fuck, he was right” ☞

What Tiana has taught me, quite sadly (and probably what Disney didn’t really intend) was that hard work wasn’t good enough to overcome systemic racism. Tiana got a feel good ending, but I feel like her story has been told many times in real life without a happy ending. There are people who work extremely hard, but never being able to catch up due to the color of their skin.

So here is Tiana, muscles tense with labor, tired and contemplative, and struggling against the system that prevents her success.

This is probably the most symbolic of all the Disney paintings I’ve done so far - the verticality of the walls, the position of her shadow looming over the segregation signs, Tiana sitting right between the divide, and the nearly imperceptible lean of her body to the right.

okay around 3:35:00 is when Tyler’s talking about the haunted bathroom and creepy noises in their house (earlier he mentions that he’s not living with Mark anymore) and while he’s talking about the creepy attic noises Ethan’s like “i live with you why do I not know of this” or whatever

3:39:19 where Tyler confirms that him and Ethan had to pose for the picture and they discuss the making of the “Love Too Soon” play scene

4:19:30 is when the screen was blacked out and you hear Tyler saying “i told you to leave your clothes ON, ethan”

around 5:07:00 is when Tyler talks about his favorite memory of Ethan and them going to a haunted house together

7:30:58 is Tyler talking about going up to try to massage Eth

at like 7:33:50 when tyler’s ass appears and Ethan’s like “hhh i hate that” and kathryn’s like “what youre not used to looking at tyler’s butt yet”

It is what happens if fairy tale meet the cruel historic reality.

Beauty and the Beast & The French Revolution

Shortly after Belle & Adam’s wedding, the Reign of Terror begins in France. While the population of Villeneuve holds no grudges against their recently remembered Prince and newfound Princess, what with their generous and just leadership style, the revolutionaries in Paris have quite different views. To them, Adam & Belle represent everything that they hate and are no different than Louis XVI & Marie Antoinette.

In the dead of night, the revolutionaries storm the village and mount a mob using their ever-so-persuasive “if you’re not with us, then you’re against us!” strategy. Anyone who failed to aid in the plundering of the castle would be deemed sympathizers and lose their heads, as well - and that included those who were employed and lived there. 

When LeFou brings word to the castle of the impending attack, Adam and Cogsworth have varying opinions on what aught to be done. Adam, still attempting to make up for everything that he put his staff - his family - through, feels that they should flee. Cogsworth, ever the militant, feels they should stay and fight for what is theirs. But Adam isn’t about to put Belle’s life in danger. Not when merely being married to him had inevitably destined her for the chopping block.

Their window for escape is horribly limited - would they be able to flee to safety in time, or would they all watch everything that they loved burn on the way to the guillotine?
