IDK ABT YOU BUT MARC'S REACTION WHEN HE FOUND STEVEN IN THE END OF THE EPISODE MAKES ME SO HAPPY. THEM REUNITING AND HUGGING OH MY GOD THEYRE SO PRECIOUS
Look me in the eyes and tell me Wade didn't wanna fuck him
Was expecting: Jake Lockley
Received: pain, sadness, depression, grieve and tears, lots of tears
laughter will always be stored in these walls
actually so fucking sick of batman, who let that guy in here anyway
Honestly i jst wanna go home man istg
Just thinking about how Marc Spector breaks all the brooding-tough-guy-anti-hero stereotypes because
1. he still has a moral code (he’ll slap teenagers instead of punching them)
2. he’s a fucking idiot
Exhibit a) his only reaction to any new information he gathers is "okay“ 👁👄👁
Exhibit b) when he’s surrounded by guys with guns and given the choice to basically walk away he chooses to throw an axe at them and gets killed
Exhibit c) he serves a god that looks like a three meters tall pigeon skeleton but loses his cool when confronted by an ears wiggling hippo god (tbf he was drugged af but still)
Exhibit d) he’s literally a mercenary working in Egypt FOR AN EGYPTIAN GOD and apparently knows absolutely nothing about the gods or any mythology (tbh so true of him idk what I’m doing at work either)
3. but to get more serious, he admits when he needs help, in more ways than one
- he admits to the gods that he’s unwell
- he lets Steven front because he knows Steven‘s skill set suits the situation better
- he‘s actually on the very other (concerning) side of that spectrum since he straight out tells Steven he wants to die once Khonshu‘s gone, bc he believes Steven is a much better and deserving person than him
4. he’s soft, but in other ways than the "brooding guys“ we already have
- He really does his best to protect Steven (replacing Gus etc.) and appreciates Steven, which the last 10 minutes of ep 4 have not just shown but like, made a whole plot point, which ofc only makes sense since that’s how headmates work? He doesn’t make fun of Steven for being less violent, for his special interests or his social awkwardness, but embraces them, because Steven literally formed out of Marc’s trauma and as a system the two need each other. Steven isn’t some kind of parasite or intruder, he’s standing by Marc‘s side and Marc has Steven’s back, because they need each other
- I’ve seen so many fans portray him as that drunk aggressive dude, who is basically just another angry hot guy, after ep 2, while he is so much NOT that. He’s suffering, and probably needs help even more dearly than Steven. He has stated multiple times that he wants to die, he is reckless (even without the suit), he cried at the Ennead trail bc of the lack of control he had when Khonshu took over the body (he couldn’t let go). Of course he gets angry and frustrated at times, but tbh punching a mirror is a very harmless way of letting that anger out!
Remind me to never shop with my mom ever again
OK I loved episode 5, but at this point I'm expecting a two and a half hour episode 6 because:
Konshu must be saved
The world must be saved
Layla needs to be saved
Marc has to get out of the afterlife
Steven ...?!
JAKE ?! I MEAN, HOW DOES MARC GET OUT OF THE AFTER LIFE IF JAKE IS STILL INSIDE ?!
Fighting Arthur
Fighting the crocodile goddess ?!
MARVEL YOU ARE REALLY TELLING ME THAT YOU WILL SOLVE ALL THIS SHIT IN JUST 40 MINUTES EPISODE, better for you you don't
Im dying inside AAAGSHSHSHEBDN
