Hey I wanna do an experiment. Trans people reblog this and in the tags tell me how old you were when your egg cracked + your gender + your favorite band atm. I was around 7 or 8 when my egg cracked, I'm a trans man, and my favorite band is Skinny Puppy.

super curious today about how people feel toward the names they might have been given. apparently i used to ask my mom about my “boy name” several times a week and get really sad i couldn’t have both my given name and that name. being trans this is hilarious to me now so wondering

also curious how this intersects with being trans!! i feel like my fixation with it definitely had a lot to do with that, so idk add in tags? if you feel like being trans makes you more/less curious about it

i feel like we should adopt the pokémon tradition of naming animal species by what noise they make. like ‘moo’ is a much better name for a cow. a hummingbird? my friend, that is a fwipfwipfwip.

Unfriendly reminder that while you're busy mourning the loss of your childs old gender, claiming you need to mourn the death of your son/daughter, there's a group of boys/girls/enbies scrambling to take your kid clothes shopping, snatching up the chance to take those "first" experiences from you forever. Your sons first fishing trip is gonna be with his best bros, your daughters first makeover is going to be with her girl friends, your kids first camping trip out as themselves is gonna be with the besties. Good luck getting those bonding experiences back. While you're busy trying to guilt-trip your kid with your weird manufactured parental trauma, there's a whole community ready to take your place as the better family.
