Omg you have a blog????? I've been seeing the imortality Izuku au everywhere and now I've found the amazing artist??? Keep up the good work! :D
Hey there!! So to clear things up: I’m not the first one to come up with this AU, I had the idea some time ago but I was also inspired by a bunch of different fics! Unfortunately I didn’t keep track of every fic I read about this AU but I can put up a compilation of some good fics I found along the way that really inspired me and that are somewhat related to immortal deku AU: (PLEASE keep in mind that some of these fanfics are a tad heavy and i discourage reading all of them at once)
Erased Potential - theslytherinpaladin Summary: "Midoriya Izuku, determined to become a hero before ever meeting All Might, looks for another way. He might not have a quirk, but that can’t be all that being a hero is about. He has the intelligence, the drive, the determination. All he needs now is to know how to use it. Enter Aizawa Shouta." https://archiveofourown.org/works/11088315
numb - BlackSclera Summary: "“What do you think you’re doing, Deku?” If Izuku didn’t know better, Kacchan actually sounded a little worried. “Jumping off the roof.” https://archiveofourown.org/works/11026539
For The Martyr And The Victim - roymustang (SpicyReyes) Summary: "Midoriya Izuku has a unique Quirk: he can transfer injuries between his own body and others'. Which, when combined with One For All, makes him a deadly force. Or, it would, if he'd stop taking on every cut, scrape, and bruise that happens around him. Recovery Girl isn't paid enough for this." https://archiveofourown.org/works/14147574
Duality - HappilyUnconventional34 Summary: "Izuku is determined to help others, determined to be a hero. But with a Quirk that damages his body both inside and out hero work doesn't seem like the most suitable job. After all you can't really save anyone from a hospital bed. But Izuku's not going to let that or anything else stop him. Healer!Izuku" https://archiveofourown.org/works/16537883
A beacon in the dark - NohaIjiachi Summary: " “My thanks.” He says, smiling back. “What is your name, boy?” “I’m Izuku! Izuku Midoriya, sir!” The boy replies, excited, looking up at him. And Toshinori looks into the unmoving washed out green, into milky white pupils visible behind the mess curly hair, and realizes. The boy is blind. The boy that he distinctly saw dodge a series of fairly quick attacks, light on his feet and clearly used to some kind of training, the boy that had thrown him the bottle at the perfect height and perfect speed, the boy that has easily collected his spilled groceries and orderly put them back into the little plastic bag— The boy. Is blind." https://archiveofourown.org/works/13616124
Better than You - Maelstrom_Prince Summary: "His youthful features scrunch, knuckles cracking as his fingers dig into his kneecaps. Anger swells like a bubble in his chest, burning and growing with an intake of breath. “And you expect me to know what the fu-“ Interrupted by the soft palm of his mother’s hands on top of his clenched fist, he pauses. Her expression is soft and lacking the familiarity of affectionate playfulness. It rips him of any comfort her presence should give him and his throat tightens with growing dread. “Katsuki, honey, you’re going deaf.” Otherwise known as: Katsuki gets slapped in the face by a hard truth and the members of 1A find out even heroes were troubled teenagers once. Emotions running high, pot plants and plenty of bruises." https://archiveofourown.org/works/13784418
Snowblind - ravenclawoutcast13 Summary: ""Shoto you should be more careful, you almost ran into the table." "Sorry Mama, but I didn't see it there." Shoto Todoroki was going blind at age three. How would this affect his future?" https://archiveofourown.org/works/15539484
swift as a coursing river (blood is thicker than water) - mochibun Summary: "Midoriya Izuku is Quirkless. That doesn't stop him from becoming a hero - there's more to being a hero than just having a quirk. Izuku is going to take the world by storm, and he'll start from the bottom. [Or, in which Midoriya Izuku decides to start at the basics - at General Education. Featuring cats, Shinsou Hitoshi being sleep deprived, Aizawa suffering, and Endeavor being roasted. Which, to be fair, is something that must happen on a daily basis - really, you couldn't have at least cracked open the 'How to Burn your Child' pamphlet once?]" https://archiveofourown.org/works/13110405
but you gotta get up at least once more - simkjrs Summary: "Izuku’s never run into this problem before with anyone else, but it’s still not much of a problem. “Oh, that’s alright,” he says. “I don’t have a Quirk.” Tsukauchi stares incredulously at him, and then looks at the iron bar that Izuku is currently straightening with his hands. Midoriya Izuku does not let his lack of a Quirk prevent him from being strong. Also known as that one AU where Izuku follows the ridiculous training regimen of Saitama from One Punch Man and becomes stronger than anyone ever imagined he could be." https://archiveofourown.org/works/7392847
In A Sky Of A Million Stars (Who Cares If One More Light Goes Out?) - Stringlish Summary: "He could never forgive himself. It was his fault. He’d planted the idea like a seed he’d never known would grow. (Or: What if Izuku jumped?) (OR: The one where Izuku jumps and lives and Katsuki visits him every day and Class 1-A not-so-secretly finds it adorable that their designated angry pomeranian brings flowers to his comatose childhood friend.)" https://archiveofourown.org/works/16112111
bleeding hearts are fatal - anonymouseling Summary: "Quirk: Self-Inflicted Healing Can heal others by absorbing injuries through touch. Izuku has always been a kind and selfless person, but when he finds that he has just the quirk to let him help others, he can't help it if maybe he over does it once in a while. But bleeding hearts and what not." https://archiveofourown.org/works/12317142
Yesterday Upon The Stair - PitViperOfDoom Summary: "Midoriya Izuku has always been written off as weird. As if it's not bad enough to be the quirkless weakling, he has to be the weird quirkless weakling on top of it. But truthfully, the "weird" part is the only part that's accurate. He's determined not to be a weakling, and in spite of what it says on paper, he's not actually quirkless. Even before meeting All-Might and taking on the power of One For All, Izuku isn't quirkless. Not that anyone would believe it if he told them." https://archiveofourown.org/works/8337607
Guillotine - PsychoLimbo Summary: "After being told by his favorite hero that his quirk would be unsuitable for hero work, Izuku takes it upon himself to become a hero by himself - without the limitations of a license. (An AU in which Izuku is essentially Deadpool with less murder)" https://archiveofourown.org/works/14198439
Guess I'll die! - BitchImTired Summary:"Au where Izuku takes Bakugou’s advice and turns out he was right! He did get a quirk....a very talkative quirk, is not like he is complaining about it though." https://archiveofourown.org/works/16645493
A deadman's gun - NohaIjiachi Summary: "“I—“ Izuku hesitated, gaping wordlessly, before admitting softly. “I don’t know. I just don’t want to go home. There’s nothing for me, there.” “So you filled this hole by playing detective— And how long is that going to last, I wonder?” Stain replied, still massaging his chin. “But you— You have potential.” Izuku blinked at Stain’s chest, before looking up. “Excuse me?” “What a waste would it be, to let you become a red splatter on the sidewalk.” Stain continued, almost contemplating. “No. No, kid, what you need is a new purpose. Your old one is gone? Well, time to get off your ass and find something else—“" https://archiveofourown.org/works/14922290
I Exist, in You - Acchidocchi Summary: ""Having a quirk like this, it's worse than not having one at all," the doctor says, handing some papers over to Inko, whose worried expression has not once wavered. "You'll have to keep a close eye on him to prevent him from hurting himself." Izuku tunes the doctor out. With a quirk like this, he is capable of helping people. And in that moment-- regardless of whatever Inko or the doctor says-- that's all that matters to him. (Or rather, a universe in which young Midoriya Izuku is born with the rare soul bond quirk; allowing him to heal others by transferring their pain to himself)." https://archiveofourown.org/works/7426390
I encourage you to read this but keep in mind they are not associated with my AU! I have a completely different idea for this ask blog, so keep up with me! There’s a lot more I want to show you!!
Nice
Check it out
who else is in the “didn’t realize sheep have long tails until i was like 20″ club
watch the whole thing, i’m begging you
Holy fluff!, share this
The French really don’t fuck around.
What! The! Fuck!?!
If people are mad at you, it's their responsibility to tell you, not your responsibility to guess
If they're mad at you in secret anyways, they're the ones in the wrong, not you
If people don't like what you're doing, it's their responsibility to tell you
If they say it's fine when it's really not, they're the ones in the wrong, not you
People are allowed to be wrong about you
If they are wrong about you, wait for them to bring it up, because if you try to, you will inevitably overcorrect
Some people are committed to misunderstanding you. You will not win arguments against them. Yes, even if you explain your point of view. They do not care. Drop it
The worst thing that will happen from a first-time offense is being told not to do it again. Maybe with a replacement if you broke something
You can improve relationships and gauge willingness to talk to you by giving compliments. It's like a daily log-in bonus and nobody thinks twice about it
Most things are better after you sleep on them
Most things are better after you have a meal
Most things are better after you shower
Your brain makes up consequences that are irrational. If the worst DOES come to pass and someone acts like they do in your head, they are overreacting, and you are entitled to say "what the fuck"
If your chest hurts after you feel like you've made a social error, that's called rejection-sensitive dysphoria. It means your anxiety is so bad that it's causing you physical pain, which is a good indicator that you're overreacting. Tense yourself, hold it for 20 seconds, let it go, then find a distraction
If you're suddenly angry at someone after you feel like you made a social error, that's also rejection-sensitive dysphoria. You are going to feel annoyed about it for awhile, but being genuinely pissed off is your anxiety trying to find something to blame to take the responsibility off your shoulders, and getting scared because it can't justify itself. Deep breaths, ask yourself how much you ACTUALLY want to be angry at that person, then find a distraction
"Sour grapes" is more healthy for you than stewing. Deciding you don't like someone who's perpetually annoyed with you, won't talk to you, etc. makes letting go of anxiety over them easier
If people don't like you, they will find reasons to be annoyed with you when they otherwise wouldn't. If people do like you, they will find reasons NOT to be annoyed with you when they otherwise would. People do not ping-pong between the two
You DO have to make a conscious choice not to think about something. If you're having trouble circling back to it, say out loud that you're done thinking about it and why. Then find a distraction
When you're upset, part of you is going to want to make false bids for attention (suddenly texting differently, heavy sighs, etc. but when someone asks you about it, you tell them it's nothing). Do not listen to it. You gain nothing from it except more misery
People like to help people they care about. It makes them feel good about themselves
If you think you're insufferable for needing help, see above. Yes, really. They get a serotonin kick from it
If you think you're insufferable for mannerisms you have, you either have to consciously choose not to do them, or accept that they're part of the package that comes with you. Being apologetic about existing does nothing except make you more miserable
If you do things you don't like when you feel meh about it, it makes it easier to do them when you hate it
If you avoid things you don't like when you feel meh about it, it reinforces and magnifies how bad it feels when you hate it
Seriously. Read those last two points again. If you can make yourself make a phone call when you've got nothing to lose, you will slowly lose that panic you get when you have to make a phone call you haven't prepared for. You do have to CONSCIOUSLY take that step
Hobbies that make you care for something get rid of that nagging feeling that you're not doing enough. Go grow some rosemary
If you don't engage with your hobbies regularly, you will feel miserable, and anxiety will spike
Hobbies are things that give you a bit of happiness. They do not have to be organized or named to do that. Go be creative in something. Play with coins. Make up lists. Start a new WIP
No one cares what you look like
If people point out things they don't like about how you look unprompted, they are being rude. You are entitled to say "what the fuck"
People who like you will find you pretty to some degree. Minor things about your appearance go completely unnoticed. Literally, scars and dots and blemishes do not register to someone who likes your company
You looking at yourself in the mirror is 10x more closely than anyone is going to look at you
If you're anxious about your body type, and you're creatively inclined, make/write an oc with that same shape. Give them nice things and make other characters love them. Put them on adventures. You'll start to see yourself in the mirror more kindly
You care about wording and perfect lines/colors way more than anyone who views your work ever will
Sometimes when you're upset, you're going to feel like not eating. Do not do that. Not eating makes you more miserable
Same with things you normally enjoy. Denying yourself helps no one. You are punishing yourself for being sad. Stop it
Both of these will take conscious decision to break the habit of. Make yourself do it anyways, and it will slowly get easier
And again, to reiterate: If someone is mad at you, it is THEIR responsibility to tell you, not your responsibility to guess
This sure as hell ain't funny anymore
