This is only the beginning. Our country has not only entered a new decade, it seems a new dawning era as well, because this flaming apocalypse doesn’t show any sign of stopping any time soon.

And you know what saddens me? I’ve never seen Australian tragedies trending here on this website. I mean it’s been going on for months and only now does it seem to really be getting recognized, even if it is only at #9.

And I’m going to be honest with you here - the internet, and media in general is so American centric, this website being no exception. You’d think that an entire continent being on fire for several months with devastating consequences would have more recognition, but no, it really doesn’t. The most notes I’ve ever seen on a post about the Australian fires is at least a few thousand, and that’s about it.

So just… please. If you can, with this post or any other post in regards to the fires going on down here, reblog. Because the only thing that should be spreading like wildfire, is a post about a burning country…

man, i’m so sad there seems to be so few people in the metal/classic rock tumblr community ??? like seriously there used to be so many of us back in 2013/14 :/

Dormant Predators

Listen up tumblr writers. THE READ MORE TAB EXIST FOR A FREAKING REASON. USE IT DAMMIT. MEANING THAT IF YOUR STORY IS 6k AND PLUS. There IS NO REASON WHY U SHOULD HAVE YOUR POOR FANS SCROLLING THROUGH HALF THE SMUT TAG trying to PASS YOUR DAMN STORY. THIS NEEDS TO STOP. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Izzy Stradlin swallowed his entire drug stash and ended up in a coma for 96 hours.  Axl Rose’s girlfriend wrestled a gun away from him as he was going to shoot himself. Steven Alder attempted suicide three times after he was kicked out of Guns N Roses. Slash contemplated suicide when he realized he couldn’t deal with being in Guns N Roses anymore. Duff Mckagan hid in a closet with a gun to his head after his family tried to stage an intervention about his drinking problem. They have all been through problems with suicide, but look where they all are now! They’re all so happy, especially Steven, watch recent interviews of him and he can’t stop smiling and talking about what a blessing it is for him to be alive. Please believe me when I say it gets better, just look at these five perfect examples and hold on.

I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:

IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.

1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.

2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.

3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”

4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”

5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.

TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.

Reblog this to keep other users aware. Suicide isn’t a joke, and neither is someone’s life. If you didn’t know this, someone else may not, either. Pass it on.

maybe just a me thing?

i’ve seen a lot of posts on how people are upset about how in fanfactions that the girl/reader is always short, perfect lean legs, great body, long lucious hair, etc. and how they don’t like it and that it’s unrealistic. but i personally think that’s the point of a fan fiction- at least for me. i read it to escape from reality and i like to think that while i’m in my own world that i’m perfect and i like that i have leaner legs, longer and luscious hair, that i’m shorter so that i can nuzzle my face in my boo’s chest, etc. i think that it’s different for every person maybe but it’s called fan fiction for a reason- that’s its fictional and supposed to make you feel better about yourself! although i think that the fics have gotten better because most of them are skin color neutral, race neutral, etc. but idk this was just my thoughts. x
