did u get home safe are u getting home safe when will u get home safe
no matter how much i harp and talk about hating americans and the united states, i can't lie and say i don't love the people out of there. No matter what they are human beings, and they deserve love and care. That being said, no nation has ever hurt me more than USA and no culture has ever tried to suffocate mine and what i make more than american culture
Tell them the air is halal too
Perhaps my favorite detail from this last game changer episode is that the punchline to both Vic's and Jacob's magic tricks were there the whole time! Obviously Jacob's gift was there from the start, but if you look closely just before Vic picks up the card, you'll notice that it is a slightly lighter strip along the top of the monitor
and if we go back to the top of the shoot, it is already there! the answer is that it was there The Whole Time!
Not a complicated trick, but oh so thematic!
I go to the grocery store, heading straight for the dairy section. Positioning myself in the middle of the milk shelf, I let out one single long, wailing, cheese-curdling scream. Every single carton of fresh dairy product within hearing distance has now been rendered undrinkable. The poor worker whose only task this shift was to keep me out of the store and most importantly away from the dairy at all costs is fired on the spot. I do not linger to bear witness to the grief and destruction I have caused. Knowing that I caused it is enough.
These petty, pointless acts of meaningless evil are the reason that I will not see the kingdom of heaven.
Chai tea bag + lil but of brown sugar + apple cider packet + 16 oz. mug of hot but not quite boiling water
it will not Fix You but like. maybe. maybe.
When my students talk over me I do this bit where I quietly tell them I’m really shy and to please let me talk and somehow it works.
Sometimes I think about sentient plants. Not ambulatory sentient plants, but plants that still grow instead of moving except they can control their growth
If you want to be over there you have to grow in that direction and put some roots down and once you're there you'll still be here too.
Plants that could build henges if they wanted to, but they'd have to grow around the stones to shift them and then grow in the direction they wanted to move the stones. Architects forever wound around the things they build, inextricable from their own art.
Or perhaps they die back eventually, all things die, and you can tell the really old henges, the really old monoliths and sculptures, because no one is part of them any longer.
This is a uniquely terrible time to have the first American pope in regards to global politics and optics, but by god is Chicago Pope a comedic goldmine. We are in a golden age of posting.
For context in case someone missed it: this past week has had an explosion of fiction and art being posted to Twitter and to a lesser extent a few other social media sites, accounts and memoirs of a brutal eternal conflict on Jupiter's icy moon Europa.
At first people thought this was a spontaneous fic situation like Goncharov, but it turns out to have been viral marketing for an (upcoming?) tabletop roleplaying game zine that got wildly out of hand (up to and including some indirect acknowledgment from a NASA social media account).
So it's less unreality and more, fanfic I guess.
...And now I really badly want to get my hands on that zine, I was already starting to brainstorm how to translate the thing into an RPG and turns out I won't even have to lmao.
