Part 2 Of Old-ish Oc References That I Touched Up Rather Than Redrawing!

Part 2 of Old-ish oc references that I touched up rather than redrawing!

This is Ebony Crow (he/him). He is quite the serious academic, a shadow witch, the reserved and quiet type, and much like his mother is a magical prodigy. Unlike his mother however, he has no interest in playing the role of socialite and networking with upper class witches. He'd much rather be away studying and researching than be at any social event.

Other important things to know: He is currently being manipulated by a dark force, one connected to his mother and the history of Death Omens. And he is very close with his sister, Thorne.

Quick run down of his runes (sigils):

Lock- Prevents anyone but the caster from opening or moving whatever the rune has been applied to.

Protection- Reinforces clothing against both (certain) magics and physical attacks.

Disruption- Disrupts (low level) magical eavesdropping, locating, and otherwise spying attempts.

Shock(?)- Still a bit unsure about this one, but if I keep it at "shock" then when activated it would emit a shock of electricity created by channeling the user's magic into storm magic.

She is pose simply. Her skin is light but heavily tanned in some spaces. She has messy dark hair cut into a wolfcut, dark eyes with red highlights, and many scars. She's wearing a tan/grey cropped, fitted tank top, baggy greenish-grey pants that sit at the hips, and brown boots. She's wearing a necklace with a monster tooth attached to it, and she has fingerless gloves with bandages underneath on her hands.

Gave my oc Thorne Crow (she/her) a new reference <3 <3 the one with her vest has design notes and the one without has scar notes.

A quick introduction to her character: Thorne's role is that of a Hunter, a military-esque position made up of people raised to combat the monsters (and humans) that threaten the safety of civilians. She is stubborn and hotheaded, the type to rush in and get things done rather than sit and wait, but also the type to take a hit for someone else. She's tough, used to living simply, and is a lot more social than her demeanor might imply.

Fun Facts abt her: She does have magic (shadow magic), but because she wasn't ever properly trained to use it she can only do like. One thing. And she does that one thing very well but its only the one thing. She is very competitive and loves a good challenge. And she's very close to her brother, Ebony.

There is a protection sigil/rune on her vest. I've introduced this one before with prior ocs (Salem and Ebony), it basically reinforces the piece of clothing against physical and (certain) magical attacks!

The final character, Topaz, has dark skin, light brown eyes, and dark hair that's pulled into a long braid, with two small braids at the front. She's wearing a purple frilly top and lots of jewelry. She has a soft smile on her face.

Decided to revisit some old, retired ocs of mine since I've been redrawing old art lately

These are characters from a story I used to call "Entity" <3 It got dropped because I started obsessing over "Death Omens" instead, which is something I did a lot back then 😅 Still think about these guys sometimes though.

To explain the norse runes- I was in my mythology + riordanverse phase still when I made these characters for the first time years ago. If I were to remake this story today I'd prolly make up runes/symbols instead. For the sake of world building and originality. I should start making sheets like this for my other ocs...the question is. which group of ocs should I start with

Does anyone know of social medias that might be worth it to check out for art posting?

Preferably smaller stuff since I'm not huge on the big names sites (insta, tiktok, twitter, etc) but I'm willing to hear people out on bigger sites.
