Source Ninja AU 🐉✨️
This AU quite literally came to me in a dream and I had to draw something for it. + Some info about the basic concept !! Def wanna iron out the details better/design some of the other ninja as dragons too

While I'm happy Monstrosity put the focus on Kai I think the real appeal are the monsters themselves, the trailer alone shows us some really cool design:
Can't wait to see all the others monster we didn't see yet!
To summarize my thought on the new season thus far: I really like it, there have been up and down of course, but the high were very high, in particular with Arin and Sora, there was the star of the season and the best episode is definitely episode 8 when we see how they meet and grow up in the Crossroad, can't wait to see their dynamics in part 2 with Ras.
Glad Sora join Arin and Ras at the end of the season, in a lot of the stories I have seen they keep the characters separated until the one that left join back the good guy, (like Sasuke in Naruto to take a very popular example), so not only it his very refreshing to see but it also demonstrate the bond between Sora and Arin that she decide to left the ninja and go with Ras, someone she doesn't trust in the slightest, to stay with her best friend.
I do feel a little bad for Lloyd who lost a student to the same guy twice, but I'm sure he will get them back eventually.
So Ras did forge the gravestones, I'm not surprised it's very on brand for him, I just hope they show how he did it at some point in the future.
The concept of Ras not knowing who he was going to be able to successfully manipulate so he just had jordana and cinder make multiple fake graveyards for different ninja😭😭😭😭
Just finished episode 9 and they really got me with this plot twist, I mean how could Thunderfang betray the forbidden 5 like that ??? I'm shocked! Shocked I tell you!
Just like the F5 I was 100% sure that this ancient evil dragon with zero obligation to give them powers once he was free was going to honor the deal he made!
Spoiler for season 3:
Never in a million years would I expect his Arin's parents to be dead, its crazy! (And depressing poor Arin).
But there is the possibility that Ras orchestrated the whole thing and his parents aren't really dead.
However, there are two things conflicting with those tombstones being fake:
First of all, there are names on them, how did Ras even know Arin parents name? Thought Jay? His department keep record of all people they reassign but those people are in a stasis how can they even get the name?
Second is the time frame, when did Ras had the time to fabricate two tombstones? Not during the tournament when he was starting to manipulate Arin that for sure. Ras did take interest in Arin before, but did he really plan that far in advance?
Of course that doesn't mean there nothing fishy here, the fact they died is a little too perfect for Ras.
If it's all a lie, I hope they show how Ras manage to organize all that, but until then I'm on team dead for real.
Just finished episode 4 and I was so fearful that they would take P.I.X.A.L away just after we finally get her back that I didn't see Zane self-sacrifice coming, shame on me, i should have known.
Season 3 (part 1) will soon be upon us so it's time to predict, and fail, what is going to happen!
-Lloyd, Nya, Kai, Cole, Frak and Wyldfyre are the ninjas that are going directly against the forbidden 5, I'm not sure about the mashup except I hope Wyldfyre fight Kur for revenge on Roby!
-Arin will quickly doubt Ras but he is going to stay with him because his teaching are actually working for him.
-I think Sora and Arin will reconcile by the end of part 1 but Arin will be staying with Ras for the time being.
-I can feel that Zane is going solo this time, at least until he found Pixal and together they unveil something big.
-Jay will rejoin the ninjas but not because he regained his memory, instead they are in a kind of uneasy alliance (much to Nya sorrows).
-At the end of part 1 the ninjas manage to get all 5 blades but Jay stab them in the back, he didn't really want to join the ninja it was a trick to get the blades and obtain Thunderfang power!
-Riyu is the best characters, this is not a prediction it's a fact.

Seeing the fandom getting into a civil war over Jay new haircut makes me wish I was there when the season 8 redesign happen, I bet those were fun times.
I'm on the ponytail side btw, I consider Rogue to be, as this point, a completely different character from pre-merge Jay, so I like that we get a change in design to reflect his new self.
Also, this the funniest screenshot I've seen in a while, what is even happening here?

This took me three weeks! Granted i coulda been done 2 weeks ago if I hadn't procrastinated but listen, I work 10 hours everyday for 4 days straight every week when i finally get to be measly 3 day break all I wanna do is relax so sue me!
Their designs are simple yes, but as much as I LOVE detailed designs I actually wanna draw these guys more and I know i wont if their designs were too complex
This Is definitely gonna become one of my two main aus cuz i have a LOT of thoughts about it!

Nice detail, because Jay is away from the tournament his elemental power go in a different direction from the others.
If Pixal reappear in season 3 of dragon rising it would be pretty fitting since she originally appeared in season 3 of Ninjago.
