Let's kill jax
So I'm slowly getting back into sci-fi (and Azimov's books specifically) and I gotta know if the fandom is present here (I charm ye tumbler to show me the content).
Also, I remember that when I was first reading the Robot series I didn't really understood the whole R. Daneel Olivaw hype, cuz I was genuinely in love with Elijah Baley. Later in the series I understood why people like him so much, but he still was on the third place for me, cuz R. Giskard Reventlov appeared and took the second place. Detective Baley is still my fav tho, even up to this day
As such I wanted to ask
Stephen Byerly and Susan Calvin as the meme "Nothing Matters" / "Nothing Matters!" discussing humanity free choices with the Multivac keeping an eye on all of us
So I, Robot huh
Sometimes I think about that one bit in "The Robots of Dawn" where Daneel explains to Elijah that on Aurora there are Specialized Robots to raise kids, and neither him or Giskard have that ability. And then I think that Giskard sort of raised Vasilia.
Imagine when Vasilia was really tiny, Han Fastolfe going to Giskard "Oh I'm going a few days out for a scientific Conference please keep an eye on Vasilia" and Giskard Panicking. Fastolfe comes back home three days later and Giskard is now "Babysitter Supreme"
God I love Daneel Olivaw. What a character.
Toh we can make up a lot of stuff and it can be extremely funny
Dors is such a funny subject to talk about because Asimov wrote her in such a way that, especially physically speaking, you forget she's a robot. But then you remember and questions starts popping in your head like mushrooms after the rain.
rb to stare at a mutual like this:
Remembering how Dors says to Hari “Don't use your chivalry on me" when they're discussing about Billibotton. This implies not only the existence of a feudal system in the Galactic Empire, but also of chivalric romances. Therefore, Dors might have reade Space Orlando Furio-[BLASTER SHOT]
anyways i think we should all drink mars water
Headcanon: When Raych and Manella couldn't be at home due to different errands they called Yugo to stay home babysitting Wanda.
Bonus point if the things end up with Yugo in make up joining the wildest tea-party he ever attended, thanks for listening to my Ted Talk
