           harlowe’s  glad  to  see  some  lightheartedness  at  this  party  .  from  the  moment  they  stepped  in  ,  it  seemed  like  everyone  was  walking  on  eggshells  and  using  this  party  as  a  distraction  from  the  latest  vigilante  news  .  just  like  how  the  masked  killer  called  out  the  group’s  mannerisms  .  “  glad  to  know  that  you’re  one  of  the  few  i  can  count  on  to  agree  that  an  old  fashioned  isn’t  pretentious  ,  ”  laughter  expels  past  the  musician’s  lips  .  “  a  spicy  margarita  ,  i  hope  ?  that  would  DEFINITELY  get  mr.  flavortown’s  approval  .  ”

when bash sees harlowe smile, he's pleased with himself. if he even made one person smile with his silly goofy costume, mission accomplished. that was his entire thought process when picking out a costume. not if he'd look hot but if he'd make people smile. he smiles back at them and replies, "it doesn't sound pretentious to me at all." he picks up his drink and adds, "i'm having a margarita. i think mr. flavortown would approve."

           despite  what  the  media  has  dubbed  their  ‘  resting  bitch  face  ’  ,  lips  can’t  help  but  quirk  up  into  an  amused  grin  when  they  spot  bash’s  costume  for  the  night  .  harlowe  casually  strolls  over  ,  drink  in  hand  before  stopping  in  front  of  the  other  .  “  it’s  a  little  pretentious  but  it’s  an  old  fashioned  ,  ”  answers  with  a  small  shrug  of  their  shoulders  .  “  but  i  guess  it’s  less  pretentious  than  being  that  person  who  just  orders  whiskey  on  the  rocks  ,  ”  they  jest  .  nods  towards  him  .  “  what  are  you  having  ?  something  worthy  of  mr.  flavortown  himself  ?  ”

bash was glad to have some sort of distraction from the menacing letter that they had all recently got. a halloween party was the perfect thing to get it off everyone's mind. he was also hoping that people would understand his costume. it was a little on the goofier side of things but that's just who bash was. he loved a little goofy costume and a bad dad joke as much as anyone. so it made sense that he was dressed as mr. flavortown himself, guy fieri. when he saw a familiar face at the bar, he waved them over. "what are you drinking tonight?" he asked, over the loud music.
