That Girl Is Mine

Mi-jin has been flirting with your constantly and Ha-ri puts a stop to it.

Zombies are only myths and only exist in movies? Well we were all wrong because I was currently stuck in the archery center with zombies blocking the way out.

Joon-Seong got stabbed but nobody knows why and how because he won’t tell and just keeps screaming saying that he’s going to die. So I just decided to tend to his aid.

I cleaned out his wound and placed some cloth on it while I got the bandages, but I couldn't find them. “Here you go,” Mi-jin says, grabbing the bandages and handing them to me.

I looked up at her “Thanks, can you hold this while I put the bandages around it?” She nodded her head. I thought she would just go to the side and hold it, but no, she went behind me draping her arms on my shoulder to hold it.

I shifted slightly but started to wrap the bandage around him, while doing so I felt a death stare right on me. I didn’t look up because I knew what it would be.

“Okay..There now stop whining” I tell Joon-Seong while he continues to cry. Mi-jin let’s her hands fall from my shoulders and while doing so she puts her hands under my shirt a bit on my waist, feeling her cold fingertips but then she gets up and walks away.

I also get up to walk over to Ha-ri and she immediately hugs me, lowering her hands to my ass and moving closer to the crotch of my neck. “You look sexy in your volleyball uniform, gorgeous, but only I get to see and feel what’s under it”. After she says that she lets go of me and walks away.

I knew this was her trying to be subtle due to the situation outside of the building, but this was my warning.

I was sitting down talking to Min-jae untilI heard someone say my name. I look up seeing Mi-jin waving at me to come over.

I get up and walk over to the two seniors. “What’s up?” I ask, crossing my arms. “Try this so little miss i’m gonna get into college, can see it’s not that easy” Mi-jin says handing me the archery bow.

“I never said it was easy you’re just being fucking immature and annoying” My girlfriend says while the short hair girl just shrugs her arm.

I position myself by putting the bow in front of me and closing one eye “Don’t poke your chest out too much” She says. I relax my chest but then I feel someone, Mi-jin, come behind me.

“This is sexy, like you” She whispers, moving some of my hair behind my ear. That was it she wasn’t taking anymore of her bullshit. I feel a rough grab on my arm making me collide with a familiar pair of lips.

I feel her hands naturally move to ass and she squeezes it making me moan into the kiss and she takes the chance to stick her tongue into my mouth, claiming her dominance. Then she grabs my hair pulling me away from my mouth.

My friends could call me dumb, idiotic anything but I don’t care. At first when we started in freshman year i thought it was just a silly crush all my friends did too but then it grew more and more each year. I’ve been holding onto my love for gwi-nam for three years.

“Y/N i don’t think you should do this he’s an ass” Nam-ra said trying to convince me out of the embarrassment that I might endure.

“But…. He’s nice to me and he’s really attractive” I say grabbing the flowers from the shelves, “Ah you're so hopeless sometimes” She sighs.

I just shrugged and go up to the cash register to pay for the things i got “Just you wait i told him to meet me on the roof—alone” I smiled and she looked at me and shook her head.

“What if she breaks your heart” Nam-ra tried to reason with me again as we walked oy the store to get back to school.

“Argh Nam-ra if that happens it’s on me because well you can’t lie about who you like in the end it’s just gonna hurt everyone” And when I said that she didn’t reply, she just looked at me as we continued our walk to school silently.

I was at the door of the roof with Nam-ra quietly rethinking if this was even a good idea, should I go back? Is all of this gonna be worth it, what if i get embarrassed.

I felt someone grab my hand, I look up and see my best friend by my side “Goodluck” She whispers and then walks away. I put my hand on the cold knob and twist it, feeling the cool air on my skin, seeing Gwi-nam.

I walked out onto the roof and he turned around “Hurry up, what do you want? I got other shit to do” He says, looking me up and down. “Uhm.. yea okay it’ll be quick” i say showing the flowers from behind my back.

I hand them to him and he looks in the middle and sees something red, he takes the red tag out the flower and sees it says my name then looks up at me.

“Holy shit—does this mean, you like me!” He says laughing through his teeth. They tried to warn me but no I didn’t listen now i’m going to be a laughing stock and get teased about it from everyone after they found out.

“I should’ve listened to Nam-ra” I said, turning around and walking away from my embarrassment, I heard someone yell No wait but it didn’t stop me, I put my hand on the knob but I felt him pull it off and turn me around placing my back against the wall.

That’s when it happened I felt his cold lips collide against my warm ones while he puts his hands around my neck “I like you too” He whispers, making me smile and blush like an idiot.

The prez was so wrong, I can't wait to brag about this for the whole week.

I walked over to Camilo and plopped down on him softly (Corba kai scene), but he turned his head away when I looked at him.

“Camilo what’s wrong with you” I asked grabbing his face and shaking it side to side . Nothing He mumbled. “Gonna have to speak up, pretty boy,” I said, smiling at him.

He moved my hands from his face and then repeated himself. “I said nothing” I looked at him confused as to why he looked so annoyed.

“I’m not buying that what’s wrong” He sighed and sat up pushing me off of him softly “I feel like Antonio is taking you away from me” I look at him and start laughing.

“Camilo he’s your little brother, i promise you he’s not not taking me from you.” “Yes but he’s always with us” Camilo continued to whine, and Antonio came back up smiling.

“Hey Tonio, me and Camilo want to spend a bit of time together, just the two of us.” Antonio looked up at me “Oh okay!!” and with that he walked away.

I walked back over to Camilo “That’s all you had to do, no need to get jealous” I smiled. He wraps his arms around my waist and kisses me “You’re mine mi vida” he whispers.

Ow, We hear someone say and when we look up we see rainbows in the sky then we look over and see Camilo's mom Pepa “Sorry, Sorry” She says walking away quickly.

People think that having a secret relationship is fun, the thrill of being almost caught is fun, but people not knowing that you're taken or your girlfriend is, is in fact not fun. People asking to take one of us out on dates is quite awkward, and my girlfriend can get very jealous easily. Don't get me wrong I do too but I keep quiet about it most of the time and she's quite loud about it.

We were all currently sitting in the gym's storage room which was surrounded by zombies. Everyone was hungry, dehydrated and made me wish I couldn't breathe. It was actually quiet for a while until Dae-su got up and went in front of my girlfriend.

“I… I think you're the perfect girl” he starts to talk and everyone looks up at him like he was crazy and Wu-jin was vocal about it “What? You freak.” but that didn't stop him from going on about what he was talking about.”I watched you when you were shooting your arrows, I saw you train every morning. I went to every tournament and cheered for you, caught myself calling you ‘copper beauty’ a few times. I really liked you for a few years” Yea, that was my breaking point.

I got up and started walking to Dae-su “Now.. I wanna be a man not a-” “Hey Dae-su, are you okay with dying?” I asked, making him turn around “huh, what do you me-” he didn't get to finish because i started hitting him. People started faintly telling me to stop while others were cheering for me.

He went behind the basket holding the balls so I couldn't get to him, so instead I picked up the volleyballs and basketballs and threw them at him while he tried to cover himself with the basket. I felt a pair of hands wrap around my waist pulling me back, I turned my head around seeing my girlfriend laughing a little bit and then everyone looked at us confused but also amused.

I felt her leaning in to whisper something in my ear “You didn't have to hit him gorgeous” I could feel her smirk without even having to look at her. “But I did, he was confessing his love to my girlfriend” I said, pouting a bit. “No one knows we're dating it's not his fault” I guess she was right but she gets jealous a lot and shows it all the time?

“So… what's going on here?” Su-hyeok asks. “Nothing much honestly just my girlfriend being jealous” Ha-ri says, making the others' expressions change and a bunch of them were smiling “You're dating a junior? She's basically a kid” Mi-jin says scoffing. I look up at her “You literally were just flirting with me yesterday”.

Ha-ri looks up at Mi-jin in the eyes with a straight face and walks over to her putting her hand onto her shoulder. “I am going to kill you” Ha-ri says with a slight laugh making the others laugh again except for me. “Im serious” Then Ha-ri was hitting Mi-jin over and over again, but hey at least it's not a secret anymore.

“You know staring won’t do anything you know that right?” You turn around seeing Steve leaning against the wall.

You sigh and drop your gaze from Robin and Vickie who are currently talking about something important.

“There’s nothing wrong with admiring someone Steve. You should know you do it all the time with Nancy.” You grab a hand full of movies and start putting them back onto the shelves.

“I can help you out you know, with admitting your feelings for robin.”

You shrug. “I don’t know Steve what if she doesn’t like me and what if I ruin our friendship?”

Steve sighs before putting a movie on the shelf. “You won’t I promise and look Vickie just left it’s worth a shot right now.”

“Fine.” You walk over to robin smiling. Before you could get a word in she speaks. “We’re going on a date! Okay okay, can you believe it?! Holy shit!”

Your smile falls from your face but not wanting robin to notice you put on a fake smile for her. “I’m really happy for you robin but I am off so I’ll talk to you later.”

You grab your stuff behind the counter and walk out getting into your car and slamming the door.

“Is she okay?” Robin looks at Steve who has a frown on his face.

“What did you say to her?” He says coming around the counter.

“I just said that me and Vickie are going out in a date, why would she be upset about that?”

“She was going to ask you out Robin! Fuck, don’t you see she’s in love with you and you’ve been to busy with vickie to notice!”

“No she’s not come on Steve we all know if anyone she’s in love with it’s you.”

“Robin you are one of my best friends but you are really stupid sometimes, Y/n is my cousin, but that doesn’t matter right now but what does is that she had everything planned if you said yes. She’s been in love with you since we starting working at Scoops ahoy and now here at family video.”

“I didn’t know I just thought why would someone like her be in love with me? I’m a nobody, she was the queen in high school and you where the king so I just assumed it was that everyone thought you would be the perfect couple. I feel terrible now I just thought she wouldn’t wanna be with me. Fuck cover for me please?”

“You know I will go get her and cancel that date with Vickie! Oh and here!” He says tossing his keys to the house.

“I will!” Robin runs out of the store getting onto her bike and heads towards your house.

After crying for a while you fall asleep from exhaustion, only to be woken up with the feel of soft fingers moving your hair back from your face.

Opening your eyes you see Robin looking down at you. “What are you going here?”

“Steve told me so I cancelled my date with Vickie and before you say you didn’t have to do that,yes I did because I’m not gonna go out on a date with someone I thought I loved when the person I did love was right in front of me the whole time and to be fair I thought you where in love with Steve,well that was until he told me you guys where related I’ve never felt more embarrassed in my life.” She smiles

You sit up looking into her eyes. “Do you really mean it? Being in love with me? Because I won’t be able to handle it if your just trying to make me feel better.”

“I promise.” Robin reply’s putting her hand on your waist lifting you onto her lap.

“Can I?” You say looking down at her lips

“Not gonna stop you.”

You lean down kissing her lips feeling the softness of her lips against yours. Deepening the kiss you hold her closer to you before adding your tongue.

Robin lets out a soft moan feeling you grip her hair while grinding onto her. Hearing you gasp at the feeling of her jeans rub against your clit that has a thin barrier separating you guys fully.

You mumble a “please” against her lips.

Y/N’s heart sunk as she glanced down at the beads of blood glistening on the tissue she clutched in her hand, she had received news the day before that her cancer had metastasised to her lungs, though she did not realise that her condition would worsen so swiftly. 

Y/N knew she would not be able to hide it for much longer, every day she became more crippled and with every passing moment her façade threatened to unveil. 

Her friends had experienced too much loss and the idea of adding to it made her stomach churn sickeningly. She would not allow them to grieve her; which is why she was leaving. 

Through clouded eyes she began bundling all of her possessions into a small suitcase, she did not pay much mind to what she grabbed, it would not need to last her very long. 

Though when she reached a small photo album sitting on her bedside table her heart jolted, with shaking hands she flipped open the small winsome book, and sure enough, smiling back at her were the faces of her beloved friends. 

She brushed her fingers over each and everyone of their grins, smiling through her tears as she recalled the moment she had taken it. Though her hand halted when she reached the last face, she could have sworn she felt her heart beating in her throat.

Damon.

It had not yet occurred to her that she would never see him again. The pain she felt at that realisation was crippling. She would never feel his gentle caress against her body or his lips on her cheek; Damon’s touch was lost on her forever. All that she had to carry her to her deathbed was his picture and her feeble memory, and that would never be enough.

Before she met him Y/N would not have believed a love so potent was possible, though she was very agreeably proved wrong. Even while living in Mystic Falls with all its theatrical and apprehensive infamousness, Y/N had never been happier. And that was entirely the work of Damon. 

Y/N knew her death would break him and she knew the kind of person Damon became when he was broken. If she left without an explanation he would eventually make his own assumptions and any assumption he made surely could not hurt him like the truth. 

She knew he would try and find her, she could only wish he was never successful. The decision she was making was far from easy, but it was easier than knowing he was mourning for her; hurting because of her.

Damon was always abundantly clear on the life he wanted for them, he yearned to turn her and live for eternity at each other's sides. Though Y/N was never sure what she wanted, she did not want to be rash and he respected that. Though now any chance of her accepting his vision was lost perpetually. She could never become like him, the possibility was lost the moment she was diagnosed with cancer; vampire blood could not fix her now.

Y/N was riddled with guilt and regret, she knew she should have said yes when he first told her what he wanted; because now in the face of death, she yearned for it too. For months the abstraction of the undying life she could have had with Damon had been eating away at her. She laughed humourlessly at the malevolent irony of her situation.

Y/N could not bear to spend another second thinking of the near future and what could have been, so to ease her mind she thought of the day before. The day that, albeit unknowingly, would become their final moments together. It was not a grand affair, they had simply spent the day in each other's company. 

They watched TV, had a nap and Damon had even offered to cook dinner, and even though he failed miserably it had still meant so much to her. She believes he noticed she was feeling unwell and was doing what he could to make her better.

But it was the final moment that had meant the most to her; when he wrapped her in his arms at the end of the day as he was leaving and whispered that he loved her. Tears ran hot down her cheeks at the realisation that it would be the last time she heard him say those words. 

A sudden feeling of lightheadedness had Y/N rushing to sit on the edge of her bed, she should not be stressing herself out like this, she knew it would only worsen her condition. Though she could not stop the unfathomable feeling of guilt stewing within her, It made her sick; she could not leave him without so much as a goodbye. 

Going against everything she had planned since her diagnosis she turned to the messily packed suitcase and began unravelling it. 

Another wave of sickness overcame her, though this time disparate. Y/N felt her body go slack, her possessions slipping from her weak grasp and falling back into their places in the case. Her body slipped downwards from the bed and found itself docile against the floorboards. 

She had started coughing up blood again when the realisation crushed her. This was it. Just as she decided to see Damon karma unfurled its caustic tendrils and enveloped her. She swore she could feel the life depleting from her body. Y/N felt akin to a spectre as darkness shrouded her being like a void, plunging her into nothingness. She was lost to the world. Her glassy, lifeless eyes stared above her; forever immortalised with the fear of never seeing him again.

Y/N had not been answering her phone and Damon knew the consternation he felt brewing because of it was completely irrational, but he found himself headed to her house regardless; he wanted to see her anyway.

When Y/N’s house met his line of sight the sound of a lack of life immediately registered with him, he could not hear her breathing nor the beating of her heart and there was certainly no sound of her usual bustle. 

He concluded that she must not have been home, though before he could turn around to leave he noticed with furrowed eyebrows that her car was still in the driveway. He picked up his pace as he closed the rest of the distance.

He pushed open the creaking old door and when the smell of her exposed blood met him immediately, his heart was sent into a panicked frenzy. Before a second had passed he used his speed to send him straight into her bedroom. But the macabre sight on the floor halted him. He discerned that her skin was the colour of death and the stillness of her frame was much the same. 

He repudiated this thought as he felt the veins grow black beneath his eyes, his fangs coming to meet his wrist. He sped to her limp body and placed his bloodied arm against her cold lips, they remained unmoving. 

‘No...’ he barely gasped out, ‘You need to drink this Y/N, it’ll help you.’ 

He shook her shoulders, her whole body moving with the disruption. Damon’s vision dimmed through the welling of his tears. He forced her taut jaw wider trying to force down his blood. He choked down his sobs as he continued to plead with her.

‘Please drink, you need to drink… Please.’ 

His weeps quaked in his chest, unwillingly observing her lack of heartbeat. He removed his wrist from her lips, replacing it with his mouth and breathing air into her empty lungs. He placed his hands on her chest and tried desperately to recall the steps of resuscitation, but his efforts were futile. 

With an all-consuming sense of despair, his hands fell slack from her inanimate frame and he acknowledged what he had known all along. 

She was dead.

The sobs that passed his lips were inhuman in sound, with shaking hands he used the pad of his fingers to gently pull the eyelids over her glassy eyes. Damon then pulled her torso up to his chest and rested his chin on the top of her head. 

For the first time since he had arrived the sight of a half-packed suitcase entered his concentration. He realised hollowly she had been trying to leave. She knew she was dying and was trying to leave anyway. He wanted to feel angry at her, but no emotion could supersede the severe sense of dejection he was under. 

Who knows how long he would have been living in blissful ignorance, thinking he resided in a sphere where she still existed, a world where she still lived. 

Damon knew he could not live in a world where she did not exist. This was a pain he could not overcome, a pain he would not overcome. Her death left his humanity in shreds, and Damon knew at once he could no longer function with it extant. His emotions left him like a flame getting put out, the enthralling love he had felt for her the day before all but a memory.
