It’s my birthday!!!

Also it’s jkr’s birthday 🤮.

Does it bother anyone else that  Draco spent his whole sixth year repairing the vanishing cabinet??? The deatheaters could have used a portkey to get into Hogwarts. Portkeys are underrated,  there is no place in the book that says there’s a barrier around Hogwarts that prevents portkey travel. What about floo powder power?  It would have been a year of sneaking around and a suspicious Potter avoided, excluding the trying to kill Dumbledore part.

I just wanted to point something out

On a post that hated on terfs, terfs commented on the post to send hate but do you know what I found out? I clicked on their profiles to block them and they ALL were lowlife incels!

One of them was a blog SOLELY to sexualized goths and posted a lot of "big titty goths" (btw you cant be goth if youre a terf thats against our culture)

One of them was a blog to post straight up porn so I reported that very quick, their most liked post was a video of some guy rubbing some girl's chest

And the other one was apparently Pansexual (lgbtqia+ who dont support others confuse me) and also another porn poster who even said "Im always horny pls dm me" in their bio

coincidence?? I don't think so boo❤️ Tagging the transphobic pages just to be petty <33

When the Marauders found out Remus was a Werewolf

Remus: You don't hate me? But... I'm a werewolf!

James: Remus. See this arm? It's actually shorter than my other arm but you can't really tell. Especially when I twirl like this.

Peter: I'm lactose intolerant.

Sirius: I'm OBNOXIOUS!

In Heaven (or wherever the hell the Marauders went)

Sirius: You know, it's funny. Your ancestor helped create fundamental healing potions and your father invented a popular hair potion. What did you create?

James: The savior of the Wizarding World.

For me JK is the pure representation even though she only cares about feminism when oppressing those who are already oppressed, she is the representation of those TERFs who criticize and bully and sometimes treat the rest of the LGBT community, especially the trans community, men, women who oppose the radical feminism (which is more like totally extremist feminism) but they defend abusers like Marilyn Mason like you said and play the victim like JK did about trans activists went where she lives but the place has a wikipedia page

At this point I see “Anonymous” and automatically think it’s a JK apologist or some shit.

But yes, thank you, JKRoach just likes power. A good way of getting power is by putting on the label of a feminist and then deciding that an already vulnerable group of people are the villains.

Is JK Rowling Really a Feminist?

JK Rowling is the author to a well-loved book series known as the Harry Potter series. They’re books that, whether we want to admit it or not, helped shape our childhood and, therefore, who we are today.

For years, many of us only managed to see the illusion she had created for us to see. Myself included. But as the years passed, the mask Rowling had carefully crafted for the public cracked, and the ugliness she carries within shone through.

Many of us had no clue of how truly troublesome she and her books really are until we got slapped in the face with reality. I, for one, failed to see the racism, homophobia, and ironically, the sexism within the books when I read them as a child.

Here are a couple of things from the HP series that just scream ‘internalized misogyny’ to me:

—Feminine Girls = Bad—

This trope is seen constantly throughout the series. We see girls like Lavender Brown, Parvati Patil, and Fleur Delacour — girls who acknowledge they’re pretty, who like fashion, and care for their looks — getting bashed and hated on left and right. Simply for the reasons stated above.

Meanwhile, girls like Hermione Granger and Ginny Weasley are celebrated for not being like that. Hermione has her intelligence and her cleverness. Ginny has her athletic build and tomboy-ish tastes (which comes from being the only girl in the family). I love them both, but they’re usually the ones doing the bashing in the books. I’m over it.

—Girls With Feelings = Bad—

This one I believe to be worse than the first point. Here you’ve got Cho Chang — who’s being mocked because she’s conflicted about her feelings for Harry, she feels as though she’s betraying her dead boyfriend who died the year before by the hands of Voldemort. Why do people pressure her so much? Can’t she take her time? It’s not like they don’t have more important things to worry about than having a girlfriend.

I’m also sick of the Lavender Brown bashing. She’s a nice girl who was desperately in love with Ron, she wanted so badly to have a magical love story that she was blind to how Ron didn’t like her as much. I love Ron, but come on.

This, as always, is what comes to mind at the moment. I might add some more later.

Rowling’s internalized misogyny aside from her books:

—Transphobia—

In case I haven’t made it clear with my previous posts (if you’ve seen them), I am an ally of the Transgender community. Trans men are men. Trans women are women. For me, it doesn’t matter what you identify as or what pronouns you use — you let me know, and I’ll adjust my vocabulary to fit your preference. Whatever’s is or isn’t in your pants is none of my business and should not be used as an excuse to disrespect you. Simple as that.

Unfortunately, not everyone thinks like I do. One of the people who have been actively harming the trans community because they can’t mind their own business is none other than JK Rowling.

I just think the idea of being a radfem or TERF is bullshit. I understand the point a lot of them make about how cis women’s struggles are different, and you’re right about that much. But you guys have to also realize that each woman’s experience with oppression is different anyway.

Take for example Black women and white women. It’s well known that Black women face more oppression compared to white women. Do you see them forming a feminist group that excludes white women? No, at least, not to my knowledge. So why exclude trans women when they, too, go through oppression?

Think about it: trans women also go through sexual harassment, rapes, murders, and daily disrespect just for being trans. Not to mention that the process of changing your sex is mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausting. No one would go through all of that if they weren’t 100% sure that they were born in the wrong body.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: sex ≠ gender.

—Marilyn Mason—

**Heavy Trigger Warning**

I know this is from last year, but I just found out about it and I’m so mad.

For those who don’t know who Marilyn Mason is . . .

Is JK Rowling Really A Feminist?

. . . it’s this creep. He legitimately scares me. He does horrible things just because he likes watching his victims squirm.

Here’s a list of things he’s done:

1. He has a cramped vocal booth with nothing but some soundproofing foams that his victims — mostly ex girlfriends and former female employees of his — describe it as a solitary-confinement cell used to psychologically torture women. This monster would lock his victims in there for hours, he got off on watching them struggle and slowly become more and more desperate to get out. He boasted about it, and called it the “Bad Girls’ Room”.

2. He’s being sued for sexual assault by a former assistant (it is unknown to me whether more victims have come forth or not).

3. His apartment was decorated with blood, swastikas, and clipped photos from porno magazines. There’s also a spray-painted message above his bed that reads “AIDS”.

4. Most of the mental, physical, and emotional abuse was done at this apartment — which some describe to be a black refrigerator or a meat locker. Most, if not all, of his victims now suffer from bouts of anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and PTSD.

5. Specified forms of abuse: Game of Thrones actress Esmé Bianco alleges that Mason frequently abused her verbally; deprived her of sleep and food; bit, cut, electrocuted, and whipped her without her consent; and raped her during their two years together. Bianco alleges that, in one horrifying episode, Mason wielded an ax and chased her around the apartment smashing holes in the walls after saying she was “crowding him.”

Rolling Stone Article on Marilyn Mason.

Now you may be wondering, what does Marilyn Mason have to do with JK Rowling?

Ah, thank you for asking. Look at this:

Is JK Rowling Really A Feminist?
Is JK Rowling Really A Feminist?

Marilyn Mason thanked JK Rowling on Twitter and Instagram for roses. Why would she — self-proclaimed feminist — be sending this man monster flowers? Why would she even want to be associated with him?

How can she call herself a feminist and be friendly with this beast in the same breath? Mason has been known for being like this for literal years, so it can’t be that she didn’t know about it.

JK Rowling is so concerned with trans women, saying that they’re not real women because they were born a male. She says she loves and admires trans people only to go ahead and demean them, ignore their criticisms, and overall send them hate for who they are. And yet.

I’ve had plenty of Anons telling me that I’m the hateful one because I can’t tolerate the fact that her opinion on trans people differs from mine. You can think whatever you like about trans people, really, I usually just cut TERFs out of my life as soon as I find out. Snip snip. So my issue isn’t Rowling having a different opinion, even if I think it’s wrong. My issue is with how uses her money, platform, and fame to hurt trans people. My issue is with how when trans people and their allies try to tell her that she’s hurting them and us, she scoffs at us and digs the knife deeper. All of this in the name of feminism. She’s not even a real feminist, anyway.

Remember: an opinion is whether you think the milk goes before the cereal or not, it’s NOT whether someone’s gender identity and the oppression that comes with it are valid or not.

Someone disagreeing with your lifestyle doesn’t make them an awful or hateful person, how they treat the people they disagree with does. And if you treat them badly because you disagree with their views, you might be the hateful one.

You’re right, it does depend on how that person deals with someone else’s different opinion.

Here’s the difference between me and JK Rowling:

ROWLING.

Uses the money she’s earned from her books to support people who harms the Trans community.

Uses her large platform to spread hate and misconceptions of the Trans community in the name of “feminism”.

Uses the name of a man who pioneered the gay conversion therapies as a pen name and refuses to truly apologize for it or at least acknowledge that she’s done a terrible decision in chosing the pen name (this is in case she genuinely didn’t know about who Robert Galbraith was — although it’s not much of an excuse because she should always check the name before using it).

Invalidates the struggles of Trans women constantly.

Also, she friendly with Marilyn Mason. A known rapist, who likes to psychologically torture women by banishing them into enclosed, soundproofed room. His victims now suffer bouts of anxiety, depression, and PTSD. So much for feminism, huh? (I’ll be making a more in-depth post about this specific point later).

This is just off the top of my head.

ME.

When it comes to people I meet IRL, I always check if their decision to be a TERF comes from ignorance or not. If it’s not ignorance I simply don’t interact with them without starting a fight or anything. Snip Snip. Good day to you.

When it comes to Rowling, who, again, uses her large platform to do more harm than good, I criticize her. I don’t even send death threats, I don’t invalidate her experiences as a woman. I disagree, I explain why I disagree, and that’s pretty much it.

I’m only aggressive when it comes to people with big platforms harming a certain community. Because what you may perceive as a harmless opinion is actually a huge weight that is being placed onto trans people and their allies. What do you think her supporters do when she tweets shit like that?

REMEMBER:

Whether you like pineapples on pizza or not is an opinion.

Whether someone’s gender identity is valid or not, is NOT an opinion.

You're... you serious, about how She took a pen name of a man who pioneered Gay Conversion Therapies ? That She will share a book with this monstruosity ?

Oh my god... I just...

I don't even know what to say, and I'm losing words about how much I hate Her...

Thank you, I guess, for informing me. I can say it loud enough, She will rot in HELL

Unfortunately, it’s true, I wish I were joking. It’s like every other shitty thing she’s done is the ice cream and this is the cherry on top. I’m so done with her.

Now now, people like her are always condemning us queers to hell, it’s a queer space now, let’s not bring her into our afterlife-party.

Lol the book's murderer had a guy wearing a coat and hat that made it hard to tell who he was/what gender he was. There was literally nothing about him crossdressing or being trans. Maybe you should actually research stuff before parroting the crowd.

I found this link that I think you might benefit from it. It shows that racism and transphobia are very much present in the Strike series.

Also, someone else pointed out in a comment on my previous post (the link to their profile) another terrible fact: JK Rowling’s pen name for her newer books, Robert Galbraith, is actually the name of a man who pioneered Gay Conversion Therapies.

Upon hearing about this, I immediately looked it up and found that it was true. I picked this article because I thought it explained beautifully just how harmful Gay Conversion Therapies really were. While the author of the article seemed to be willing to chalk it up to a very unfortunate coincidence, I will not for the following reasons:

Let’s say she didn’t know Robert Galbraith was a real person, it was still JK Rowling’s responsibility to check whether her desired pen name was a real person or not.

After she “found out” about who this monster was, her only reaction was to claim she didn’t know and then continue using the pen name as if nothing. This is disgusting.

Is this enough research for you?

If you refuse to accept that the author has views that oppose yours and is still the author of the product you so care for, then you have no business investing in Harry Potter. You call her a bigot, yet who is the one who is being intolerant and hateful? Not Joanne. She talked about abuse and oppression against women and you and your ilk couldn't stand that she lives in the real world and has experienced real abuse based on her sex and that she knows a vast amount of other women do as well. So go ahead and be demeaning and bigoted (which means intolerant of others' beliefs), but stay away from Harry Potter. You are not welcome.

Hey Anon, firstly I would like to thank you for giving me the perfect opportunity to talk about JK Rowling and how harmful she is, and also why I personally don’t stand by her.

“You call her a bigot, yet who is the one being intolerant and hateful? Not Joanne.”

One of the loudest issues at the moment is the way she views transgender people. She has said before that people can dress however they like and love whoever they love, and honestly, she was set in the right direction by saying this. However, she turned right around and started invalidating trans people (particularly trans women) by saying that they’re not real women because they don’t face the same oppression as a cisgender woman.

Transgender women face a lot of oppression just by being trans (where they get constantly harassed, assaulted, and even killed), and they also get oppressed for being women (where they get constantly harassed, assaulted, belittled, and even killed).

So, keeping this in mind, JK Rowling has been supporting and investing in several platforms that are harmful for trans people. Is that not being intolerant and hateful?

The part of the fandom who oppose JK Rowling are the people who are (or should be) protecting trans people, who your beloved author is trying to eliminate. We are intolerant, yes, but only to the views that harms them.

Also, a little side note: I have also heard (though I don’t know if it was ultimately published or not) that she was writing a book about a man who dresses as a woman to kill people. Considering her transphobic views, what do you think she’s trying to do with that? How do you think people will take it?

Some other issues we face when reading the Harry Potter series is the racism, and ironically, misogyny.

We barely ever see any POC characters, and if we do, we always see some terrible stereotypes and really lazy attempts to portray them. As a POC myself, I’m always hurt by the lack of research she did while writing these side characters. It’s really disheartening.

As for the misogyny in the book, I find it ironic that we see so much of it when the author claims to be a feminist. You can’t be a feminist and also pit the majority of the female characters against each other simply because some of them are more feminine and emotional than others. Feminism isn’t only about equality, it’s also about standing together when we demand for said equality. If you write about girls hating each other simply because they like girly things, then you’re not a true feminist.

Also, on the same subject, the majority of the female characters’ plots revolved around men. Where’s the independence of these women? A lot of them were so badass, only for it to be ruined because they just had to revolve around men—even when it was totally out of character for them. We know nothing about the Chosen One’s own mother, which is one of the things that drives me absolutely mad.

These are all issues that come to mind at the moment, I might add more later.

“She talked about abuse and oppression against women and you and your ilk couldn’t stand that she lives in the real world and has experience real abuse based on het sex and that she knows a vast amount of other women do as well.”

I’m not sure what your definition of “living in the real world” is, but here’s mine:

A person that can recognize their own oppression as well as the sufferings of others without having to invalidate them.

Are women oppressed? Yes, 100% they are. But does that give me the excuse to invalidate other people’s experiences as women? NO!

Also, I have experienced harassment, sexism, and injustice for being a woman (I identify as gender non-conforming, btw), too. I know of women who have been sexually violated, of women who have been abused, and mistreated because of their sex as well, most of them don’t invalidate transgender people. So your argument is irrelevant.

Also that logic doesn’t make any sense at all. Look at it this way: I have been deaf since the day I was born, and I have suffered immensely because of it. Hearing classmates (and people in general) would make my life a living hell—to the point where I couldn’t even think about school or leaving the house without suffering from a mental breakdown for months. Does that mean I’ll be hateful and invalidating to someone who became deaf later on in their lives? No, because they’re not related to this particular experience I’ve had with hearing people.

“So go ahead, and be demeaning and bigoted (which means intolerant of others’ beliefs), but stay away from Harry Potter. You are not welcomed.”

I don’t think I’m being demeaning, if anything, she is. And you too, since you’re so angry that I stand by protecting trans people (who are also human beings, in case it escaped your notice).

Also, thank you so much for explaining what bigoted means. If you hadn’t, my little pea brain would have worked itself to the point of exhaustion while trying to figure out what you mean.

Finally, it’s funny that you think you can tell me what to do. No, I’m not staying away from Harry Potter. In fact, I’ll rewrite the whole thing just because I can and want people to actually feel represented in the series. You can stay in your own lane and I will stay in mine. I don’t want to be welcomed in the TERF’s side of the fandom.

EDIT:

Why the Strike series is problematic + JKRoach’s pen name (with links)

OMG YES. IF YOU HATE LAVENDER BROWN, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE SHE DATED RON, PLEASEEEEEEEEE GTFO.

Cho and Lavender were villainized by the narative in favor of Ginny and Hermione

Rowling despises teenage girls with traditionally feminine interests. She only treats those who don’t want to be like “other girls” or the pick-me girls well in the narrative. It’s clear she projects a deeply personal issue onto certain female archetypes, which makes me think she must have a lot of unresolved resentment, probably dating back to her childhood. She portrays Lavender as foolish for being desperate over Ron, when in reality, that’s not foolish at all—it’s completely normal for a teenage girl experiencing her first relationship and not knowing how to handle her emotions. She also mocks Lavender and the Patil twins’ interests, like Divination, girls’ magazines, or gossip, as if those things were inherently frivolous and shallow. It’s as if being a girl and enjoying “girly” things automatically makes you stupid or as if femininity itself is incompatible with having depth and other, more “serious” interests.

Likewise, through Harry’s praise of Ginny for not crying—contrasted with Cho, who does—she implies that sentimentality, emotional expression, or a lack of self-control are negative traits, while repressing emotions (which is traditionally associated with masculinity) is a positive thing that makes you “tougher” or “stronger.” Narratively, Rowling always favors Hermione for “not being like other girls” and turns Ginny into the ultimate pick-me girl. She’s a character who barely matters or has any relevance throughout the series until she suddenly transforms into the perfect cishet teenage boy fantasy: the girl who is super hot and sexually desirable but at the same time doesn’t waste time with “girly stuff” because she’s too busy acting just as aggressive as any macho guy, being hyper-focused on sports, and being “one of the boys,” cracking jokes, being rough, and acting cool. She’s a girl bro, the embodiment of the perfect woman according to male fantasy, not female. It’s as if she were designed by a hormone-driven teenage boy rather than a woman in her thirties.

Ginny is a disaster of a character from a gender analysis perspective—truly atrocious. And then there’s Luna, who doesn’t bother anyone because she’s too weird, yet she’s accepted by the “not-like-other-girls” girls precisely because of that weirdness. She’s the Manic Pixie Dream Girl, completing the trifecta of contemporary misogynistic female stereotypes embodied by Hermione, Ginny, and Luna—the only teenage female characters who are curiously treated positively and praised by the narrative. The rest are torn down at some point, specifically for reasons directly related to their gender.

Forbidden Fire- Draco x You

warnings: spicy, hickey, getting locked in a closet with a hot guy... (if that even counts 😈)

prior knowledge: you are Y/N Potter, sister to Harry Potter, and placed in the same house as your brother.

a/n: Hope you love this as much as I do <3!!

The Gryffindor common room buzzed with low chatter, candlelight flickering across flushed cheeks and whispered dares. It was late—well past curfew—and the usual suspects were gathered: the Golden Trio, the Silver Trio, Fred and George, and, inexplicably, Draco Malfoy.

“How did he even get invited?” you muttered to Hermione, side-eyeing the Slytherin draped over the arm of a chair like he owned the place.

“Detention overlap,” Hermione whispered back. “Fred and George thought it’d be hilarious.”

“Of course they did,” you grumbled.

“All right!” George called, holding up a worn velvet bag. “Time for a bit of after-hours mischief: Seven Minutes in Heaven.”

Fred grinned. “Forbidden Forest edition. But don’t worry—no Acromantulas involved. Just this bag, a closet, and questionable life choices.”

A wave of awkward laughter rippled around the circle.

“Ladies first,” George said, offering the bag to you with a wicked glint.

With an exasperated sigh, you reached in and brushed against something smooth and round. You pulled out an apple.

Fred’s eyes lit up. “Ah. That would be Malfoy’s.”

“What?” you blurted.

Draco was already standing, brushing nonexistent lint off his sleeve, lips curled into a smirk. “Looks like fate has a sense of humor.”

“Come on, Y/N,” Fred teased. “Be brave. It’s only seven minutes.”

Muffled chants of “Closet! Closet!” broke out, and before you could protest, you found yourself being pushed toward the small broom cupboard. Draco followed, looking insufferably pleased.

The door clicked shut.

And just like that, everything changed.

Inside, it was dark. Quiet. Close.

“You arranged this,” you said, narrowing your eyes.

He leaned in, voice low. “You think I’d go through all that trouble? Tempting as it sounds.”

“You’re insufferable.”

“And you’re gorgeous.”

You opened your mouth to retort—but he was already there, kissing you, his hand sliding up to cradle your jaw. The kiss was bold, searching, unapologetic. You gasped, fists clenching in his robes, unsure if you wanted to shove him away or drag him closer.

You chose the latter.

You crashed against the wooden paneling, lips devouring, breath mingling, and heat rolling off your bodies. His hand found your waist, pulling you flush to him, and your fingers tangled in the strands of platinum at the nape of his neck.

Then he dipped his mouth to your jaw, trailing down.

“Draco—” you warned.

He paused for just a second before his lips found the curve of your neck—soft at first, then firmer, sucking gently until your breath caught in your throat and a moan escaped you.

“You’re playing with fire,” you gasped.

“Good,” he murmured. “I like the burn.”

You just about began unbuttoning his shirt when you heard the knock-knock-knock.

“Time’s up, lovebirds!” Fred’s voice sing-songed from the other side.

Draco pulled back slowly, lips wet, eyes gleaming with satisfaction. “You’ll want to cover that.”

You blinked. “What?”

He smirked. “Check your neck.”

Your fingers brushed the spot. Warm. Tender. A hickey.

“You—”

“Too late now.”

The door creaked open. Fred and George stood there, grinning ear to ear.

Fred whistled. “Someone looks properly snogged.”

George nudged him. “Reckon that’s more than a kiss.”

Your face flamed as you stepped out, trying to adjust your hair to cover the mark.

But it was too late—Harry had seen it.

“What the hell is that?” he barked, pointing at your neck.

“Harry—”

“That!” he shouted again. “On your neck, Y/N!”

You instinctively tried to cover it with your hand.

And Draco? That smug, arrogant git just strolled out after you, looking like he’d won the bloody Quidditch Cup.

Fred leaned over to George. “Called it.”

George nodded solemnly. “House war incoming.”

Harry turned furiously to Draco. “Did you snog her?”

“I didn’t hear her complaining,” Draco said coolly, crossing his arms.

Harry’s wand was halfway raised. “I’ll hex you into next week—”

“Harry!” Hermione grabbed his arm. “Not in the common room!”

“She’s my sister!”

You stepped between them. “I can make my own decisions. I don’t need you losing your mind over a kiss.”

“That wasn’t just a kiss!” Harry pointed again at your neck. “He gave you a bloody hickey!”

Draco leaned in just enough for only you to hear. “Funny. That’s exactly what I was going for.”

You elbowed him hard in the ribs.

But your heart was still racing—and not from the fight.

As Hermione and Ron dragged Harry toward the boys’ staircase, muttering apologies to McGonagall’s portrait, Fred clapped Draco on the back.

“Mate, hope your will’s in order.”

“Why?” Draco asked lazily.

“Because Harry’s going to kill you,” George said cheerfully. “But until then—bloody brilliant work.”

Draco smirked. His eyes found yours across the room. You looked flushed, furious—and completely alive.

He winked.

You rolled your eyes.

But you didn’t look away.
