The annual Hero Gala was supposed to be a celebration. A night when the best and most promising in hero society gathered to let loose and toast their accomplishments. However, for Katsuki Bakugo, it was a task—just another loud, crowded event where he had to deal with suckups and reporters all in your face asking dumb questions and trying to get into your personal life any chance they got. But this year, things were different. This year, he wasn’t just a lone wolf. This year, he had you.
As his assistant, you were always at his side, managing schedules, coordinating media appearances, and generally keeping him from blowing up at everyone who annoyed him; which was almost everyone who came into the presence of the "Great Explosion Murder God: Dynamite". You were humorous, smart, and had a sharp tongue that Bakugo secretly found entertaining when you used it on others. And though he’d never admit it, he liked having you around. Perhaps too much.
The ballroom was packed with heroes in their finest suits and dresses. The chandeliers glittered overhead, and soft music played as waiters threaded through the crowd with trays of champagne. Bakugo, dressed in a sleek black suit with orange accents that matched his hero costume, stood near the edge of the room, scowling into his glass of sparkling water.
You stood beside him, dressed in a deep red gown that hugged your figure and shimmered in the low light. You’d pulled your hair back, exposing the curve of your neck, and Bakugo found himself glancing at it more often than he liked.
“Try to smile,” you teased, nudging him lightly. “You look like you’re about to kill someone.”
“I might if one more idiot comes over here,” he grumbled, eyes watching the crowd.
You laughed, and the sound made his chest tighten. “Lighten up, Dynamite. It’s a party.”
Before he could retort, a group of his old friends approached, one of them—Denki, a flashy hero from another agency—zeroing in on you.
“Hey, Bakugo,” Denki greeted, barely sparing him a glance before turning his full attention to you. “And who’s this lovely lady?”
You smiled politely. “I’m Bakugo’s assistant.”
“Assistant, huh?” Denki said his grin widening. “Didn't expect Kacchan to have an assistant, you must be a miracle worker to put up with this guy.”
Bakugo bristled, his grip tightening on his glass.
“She’s not here to be flirted with Dunce Face,” he snapped, stepping closer to you.
Denki raised his hands in surrender, laughing. “Relax, man. I’m just being friendly.”
“Don’t.” Bakugo's voice was low, like a storm brewing on the horizon, filled with a tension that made the air crackle.
You tugged gently on his arm, your touch grounding him. “It’s fine, Katsuki,” you reassured, meeting his intense gaze with a sweet smile.
For a moment, he stood there, caught off guard by the way your voice softened his name. It was disarming. Before he could find his words, you turned to get a drink, leaving him alone with Denki and the rest of his rowdy friends.
“She’s got you on a leash, huh?” Denki teased, laughter bubbling up in the air. Bakugo felt the heat rise in his chest, fury bubbling just beneath the surface. He glared at Denki, struggling to contain the impulse to unleash an explosive retort—specifically directed at this idiot beside him. The last thing he needed was to be the punchline of this dumb gala, especially when you had just walked away.
The night dragged on, and Bakugo’s mood only deepened. Everywhere he turned, someone was talking to you, laughing with you, flirting with you. He watched as a top hero from another agency leaned in too close for his liking, as a rookie hero handed you a rose and as a civilian guest tried to touch your arm.
And through it all, you smiled and handled it with grace, completely clueless of the storm brewing inside Bakugo.
By the time the gala was winding down, he’d had enough. He found you near the bar, chatting with a group of heroes he didn’t recognize, and stormed over.
“We’re leaving,” he barked, grasping your wrist.
You blinked up at him in surprise. “What? The event isn’t over yet—”
“I don’t care. Let’s go.”
Without waiting for a response, he pulled you out of the ballroom and into a quiet hallway.
“Katsuki, what the hell?” you pressed, yanking your arm free.
He rounded on you, his crimson eyes blazing. “What the hell are you doing? Letting all those idiots flirt with you like that?”
Your eyebrows shot up. “Excuse me? I wasn’t ‘letting’ anyone do anything. I was being polite.”
“Polite, my ass!” he snarled, his voice cutting through the stillness of the hallway. “They were all over you!”
You stepped forward, confusion and anger rushing through your veins. “So what if they were?” you shot back, arms crossed tight against your chest. “Why does it even matter to you?”
His eyes blazed like twin stars ready to explode. “Because you’re fucking mine!” The confession erupted from him, raw and unfiltered, filling the air with a tension that was noticeable. Silence hung between you, heavy and thick, as if the heavens itself held its breath.
You blinked, stunned, words trapped in your throat.
“What?”
As the realization of his outburst washed over him, Bakugo looked away, his expression a storm of confusion and anger. He ran a frustrated hand through his spiky hair, trying to regain control. “I mean… You work for me. You’re my assistant. You’re not supposed to…” His voice faltered, frustration boiling over like a raging inferno. “Damn it!”
The intensity in his gaze ignited something inside you—an unrelenting pull that drew you closer. “Katsuki,” you whispered, your voice barely audible, yet filled with a heartfelt urgency. “Is that really what this is about?”
The silence stretched, the weight of unsaid words and unacknowledged feelings pressing down like the world’s greatest burden. Each heartbeat pulsed with a longing that was impossible to ignore. You could see the conflict raging within him; pride clashed with vulnerability, and fear tangled with desire.
“Why do you care?” you pressed on softly, craving for him to let down his walls, to reveal the truth that lay just beneath the surface. “What you feel—it’s not wrong.”
For a fleeting moment, the mask slipped, and you caught a glimpse of the man behind the hero—a man torn between his duty and the simmering emotions that threatened to consume him. “I don’t want to see you with anyone else,” he admitted, his voice thick with vulnerability, eyes darkening. “It drives me insane.”
At that moment, the world outside faded away, leaving just the two of you standing on the edge of something you both craved yet feared. Could you leap into the unknown together, or would pride keep you forever apart? The air crackled with unknown possibilities, and one truth beamed brighter than all: what you held for each other was far from simple. It was complicated, messy, and real—more than either of you had ever bargained for.
He didn’t answer, refusing to meet your gaze as his face grew warm with a dust of red painting the heroes cheeks.
You reached out, gently touching his arm. “If you have something to say, just say it.”
He sighed, finally looking at you. “I don’t like seeing other people flirt with you, okay? It pisses me off. And I know I shouldn’t feel that way, but I do. Because… Because I like you. More than I should.”
For a moment, there was silence. Then you smiled, your expression soft. “You’re an idiot, you know that?” You chuckled.
“what?”
“You’ve been jealous all night over nothing,” you said, shaking your head. “If you’d just told me how you felt sooner, we could’ve avoided all this drama.”
Bakugo blinked. “Wait… You’re not mad?”
“Mad? No.” You grinned. “Relieved, actually I’ve been waiting for you to figure this out for a while now.”
He stared at you, his brain struggling to catch up. “You… like me too?”
“Obviously,” you teased, stepping closer. “Why else do you think I put up with you?”
He huffed, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. “You’re still annoying.”
“And you’re still a hothead,” you shot back. “But I guess we balance each other out.”
Before he could respond, you leaned up and pressed your lips against his with a warmth that caught him off guard. The kiss was deep and lingering, an intoxicating blend of intensity and passion that silenced any sarcastic retorts he might have had. You felt the heat radiate from him, and for once, Bakugo didn’t argue, melting into the moment as the world around you faded away.
bonus:
The next day, the Hero Gala was the talk of the city, but Bakugo didn’t care. Let them gossip. Let them imagine. All that mattered was that you were his—and he wasn’t about to let anyone take you away.
He might not have been the best at expressing his feelings, but he’d make sure you knew how much you meant to him every. damn. day.
Because if there was one thing Katsuki Bakugo never did, it was half-ass anything.
And loving you was no exception.

1 PM - Start of the party.
Today was the grand day, the day of poor little Izuku's birthday. The small boy was turning 8 today and was having a party to celebrate. A party at none other than Fredbear and Friends, a child friendly place where magic and fun comes to life. The green haired child had three friends in total, who he had invited to his little birthday party.
A small ash blonde with striking red eyes and a bit of an attitude. The kid, named Katsuki Bakugo and nicknamed Kacchan, was one of the freckled kid's long time friends, his very first friend.
Another kid, who had heterochromia and his hair split in two colors. Half of his hair was red while the other was white, and he had a sky blue eye on his red haired side and a grayish eye on his white haired side. A scar was on one side, the red side, that was there because of an accident where the child had played around and accidentally knocked over a pan of boiling water while his mother was cooking. He was the new friend, the one that little Izuku met only a year ago.
Finally, there was the third friend, originally welcomed to the group by Katsuki. He was a redhead, having recently dyed his hair since he thought it was Katsuki's favorite color and wanted another reason for the blonde to appreciate him. This boy's name was Eijiro Kirishima, usually being referred to as Kiri. He was a nice addition to their friend group when it was just Katsuki and Izuku, since he brought an extra light of joy to the mix.
Now the four children were at the pizzeria, having arrived just moments ago. It was finally time for the start of the party. Only a few steps and it would begin. The cars pulled up, the friends being driven by their parents. The cars came to a stop as they all parked and the parents turned the vehicles off and stepped out to help their children.
The group came together, immediately walking towards eachother so they would be grouped up before they even set foot inside. Katsuki was the first to initiate conversation, ruffling little Izuku's hair. "Hey there Deku! You're finally turning eight, welcome to the party." The blonde spoke in his usual tone, not too cheerful yet not too rough. He beckoned Kirishima to join, since the other was lagging behind. The redhead was currently being told to mind his manners by his parents.
The redhead skipped over to them after his mom let him go and after grabbing Shoto's hand and dragging him along. "Ey Bakugo, didn't think you'd show up." The redhead gave the blonde a toothy grin, receiving an eye roll as he turned his focus to Izuku. "Happy birthday Midoriya." He elbowed Shoto's side, wanting him to say something instead of being relatively quiet like he usually did.
The heterochromic child gave a small smile and a wave to Izuku. "Happy birthday Midoriya." Once all was said and the kids were caught up, they headed inside. Midoriya stared in awe at the sight of the inside. Normally he didn't like the pizzeria, but now that he was here on his birthday with his friends everything was going to be better.
2 PM - Games and Pizza
The group had gone to their table that had been set up and had talked for a while, catching up with one another about the days when they weren't spending time together. Their parents gave them tokens for the games and ushered them off so they could talk freely.
Katsuki led the way to the games once the others had gotten up. "Come on guys, let's play this game first." The blonde led the way to the first one. Little Izuku didn't mind letting the blonde lead the way. Katsuki had good instincts and good reflexes, and he usually acted as the protector of the little group.
The kids played the games together, letting Katsuki play first since he was the one who pointed out this game first. The group played for a while, winning many tickets mostly because of Katsuki. The blonde was rather good at playing the games, so it only made sense. Kirishima had actually gotten decent amount of tickets as well, the redhead being good at the games Katsuki usually didn't do well at.
After playing the games for a good amount of time, they were called to the tables by their parents. The pizza was ready, and the kids rushed to the tables to eat. They were hungry after playing the games for so long. There were two pizzas, one just cheese and the other with pepperoni so there were choices. They each chose their respective options and began to eat.
Through a mouthful of food, the redhead turned to the others. "Ey, can't wait for the show. How about you guys? Midoriya?" Eijiro was beaming, excited for when the show was supposed to begin.
Izuku nodded in agreement, eating his pizza as Eijiro was scolded by his parents for manners. Katsuki nearly laughed as he heard this, finding some amusement in Kirishima being scolded for something he was Warner about earlier. Once finishing their pizza, the adults left to go home.
The parents felt it was okay to leave them there to enjoy the rest of the day. They knew the kids were responsible enough to take care of themselves until the end of the day. As long as Katsuki was there to help, they'd be able to get home.
4 PM - Showtime
After the parents had left was about when the show began. The lights dimmed and the ones on stage lit up. There were two animatronics up there, known as Spring Bonnie and Spring Freddy. The four main animatronics that had replaced these two recently were put away for today, due to some complications.
The two animatronics on the stage began their show, slightly different than the newer ones due to these being the older two. The group was having fun watching the two on stage do their show. However, what they didn't know, was that these were two suits. They always had been, two people in the suits dancing on stage. The show still went on though normally, no worries from the kids.
5:30 PM - The M⃟U⃟ЯԀ∑R̸͟͞
The show finally ended and it was almost time to go home. The group of friends were the last few kids left since it was almost closing time. Gathering themselves, the kids stood up from their seats to get ready to leave.
Midoriya's eyes widened, a smile making it's way to his face. Katsuki wondered what was taking him so long, turning to face him. He stopped in his tracks, seeing the animatronics making their way over. The blonde elbowed Kirishima's side, causing the redhead to look over, who grabbed Shoto's arm to make the kid look as well.
Spring Bonnie walked toward Izuku, Spring Freddie walking alongside. Spring Bonnie kneeled down to their levels and spoke. "Hey there kids. I see the birthday boy hasn't had his cake yet." The little green eyed boy nodded, a large smile on his face.
Katsuki didn't trust this, but the way Deku looked so happy. On one of the rare occasions, he wanted his friend to have something go right. It was the boy's birthday after all.
Spring Bonnie noticed the way Katsuki looked somewhat suspicious. The man inside hid any suspicious manners with a fake smile and a fake cheery voice. "Come along kids, me and Freddie will show you to the cake." He led the way for the kids, taking the birthday boy by the hand.
The friends were led through the pizzeria, brought to a room in the back. Katsuki's suspicions were being confirmed as he heard a click from the lock in the door. There was indeed no cake back here, just them and the animatronics.
Their thoughts were interrupted with a dark laugh, the animatronics going still. That is, until Spring Freddie backed the kids into a corner. Izuku began to quiver, holding onto the nearest person, that person being Shoto. The boys held eachother as Katsuki stepped forward, the most of a scowl he could manage. Kirishima, though scared like the rest, stuck next to Katsuki.
Spring Freddie was cornering them, backing them up as Spring Bonnie laughed, bringing his hands up to his head. He took the mask off, watching as his accomplice did the same. Freddie, who was really Dabi, stepped to the side to allow Bonnie, Shigaraki, to get towards the kids.
Pulling a knife out from behind his back, Tomura advanced toward them. "Sorry kiddies, but your days of playing around are over." The first kid he went for was Katsuki, the one standing in front of the others.
The blonde felt a hand holding onto his arm. It was Izuku, who was still holding Shoto, who had grabbed his arm. The boy quivered, his voice shaking. "Kacchan, you'll help us right?" The fear was clear in the boys face and tone. The blonde gave a smile, the best he could make in this situation. "Everything's gonna be alright Deku, it'll be-" The blonde was cut off, eyes wide at the feeling of a knife penetrate the skin. He dropped, lifeless as his face contorted in an attempt to yell out.
Izuku screamed at the sight. No one could hear as everyone would have left by now. One by one, the men took the lives of them. Katsuki was there dead as Kirishima was the next one to go, followed by Shoto and Izuku.
The two boys, clung onto eachother, had just witnessed the deaths of their friends. A piecing shriek followed soon after, made by the boy who had only turned 8 today.
6 PM - Closing
The clock hit six, the time that everyone had to be out of the establishment. The last of the employees had left as well as all the children that had been at the pizzeria. Other than the group of friends.
Tomura and Dabi were the last ones seen leaving the establishment when 6 pm hit.
Heya there everyone! I'm out of my Undertale phase and I'm now into My Hero Academia. So I decided I'd be making an AU for it based off of Five Nights at Freddy's. This AU will be focusing around TodoDeku, KiriBaku, and ShigaDabi. For now I have a few details on the AU for now. Just remember that not all of this sticks to the fnaf storyline, it is an AU.
Deku, Shoto, Bakugo, and Kirishima were the four main children that were killed and possessed the animatronic suits.
Bakugo was beyond pissed when they first possessed the suits. This is because of the fact that he got stuck with being Chica, the one he thought was the most girly and the one he disliked most.
Izuku/Deku is Freddy, Shoto is Bonnie, Bakugo is Chica, and Kirishima is Foxy.
About a year after the children's deaths, the creators of the animatronics changed their designs as a memorial for them.
Chica was redesigned to fit Bakugo due to false information told by the parents.
The parents were the ones that told the manufacturers about their children and who each one had said their favorites were.
It's pure coincidence that Chica was changed to memorialize Bakugo due to the information while Bakugo possessed Chica.
Bakugo actually tries to scare the nightguard, after trying to communicate with them and tell them that he's stuck in the animatronic, getting mad when they don't understand him and shut the doors on him.
Izuku desperately tries to speak to the nightguard, feeling upset when he can't.
Shoto is there to comfort Izuku when the efforts fail.
Shoto scares the nightguard since he's trying to help Izuku communicate with the nightguard.
Kirishima purely scares the nightguard because he's trying to test them.
Shigaraki is the Purple Guy, who has an accomplice in this AU.
Dabi/Touya is the accomplice of Purple Guy, helping him with the murder of the kids.
Because of lack of money and to get rid of any extra evidence that may have been left behind, Shigaraki and Dabi take jobs at the pizzeria.
Dabi was originally taking the day shift with Tomura at night shift, but Dabi had to take the night shift with Tomura due to complications.
Having them both as nightguards was an exception, since usually there's only one nightguard.
This is all for the AU that I have for now. Most of the details will be added when I begin writing the story. This will end up being a story that I'm going to write. More extra details might also be added at some point in a post like this one. When the first story part does come out, it'll be the prologue to the story.
heh. happy new year….ig

Either Bakugo or Midoriya winning the popularity polls is a win-win for me, to be honest... 😅
I'm loving the fact that they are both in 1st and 2nd place, competing with each other to be number 1, just like they wanted...
It's very poetic if you think about it 😌

Mina: The bird flu? Uh, yeah. They tend to do that Kaminari: You mean to tell me a shrimp fried this rice? Sero: What's upstairs? Stairs can't talk Kirishima: Apartment complex? I find it quite simple Bakugou: Youre all lucky Jirou isnt like this. I cant take one more of these shitty jokes Jirou: Jirou: Based? Based on what? Bakugou: I'm going to kill all of you
Katsuki: Ha your the clown.
Denki: Actually Jesters were well respected members of the court as due to their status of being allowed to insult the reigning monarch they were the most trusted advisers being as they were unaffected by blind loyalty.
Katsuki: I keep forgetting you know shit.
Second teaser, pretty fun writing dialogue for a nickname heavy character like Katsuki.
Am I writing fan-fiction?
Yes, yes I am.
