I finally got Procreate! What a better way to break it in the doing all the sticky note drawings I’ve done at work for Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-Kun. I’m still figuring it out, but you know, I’m pretty happy with my beginning attempts.
So I watched Love Never Dies and I liked it ! Let me explain.
The actors, the costumes, some songs ( I think about "The beauty underneath" and "Devil take the hindmost" ) are incredible, charming, so good and all of this !
So yeah the characters are really weird...
Raoul is a bad father, Christine have a son with Erik (?) and I won't speak about the Giry's...
But it can show some interesting things !
For example:
Raoul is a bad father. He never plays with Gustave ( the son of Christine and Raoul think that he is his son but no ) and when Gustave try to play his own music he cut him.
Then we see Erik. He let Gustave plays his music and then he show to him some beautiful things.
So I think the show what to show that Erik, the one who never gets love or kindness, compassion, is a better father than Raoul whot got love and affection!
It's what I think and you probably have to watch the show to make your own point of view.
Sorry for the long post and thanks to read it all !

If I had a nickel for every time I found out an obscure book I like was turned into an opera, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice. Anyhow catch me falling in love with the actress who played Sela.
y’all have you seen the pictures of the Redwall Opera 😭

Hello dear friends! ❤🤍🖤💚
🍉I am Mahmoud Ayyad, a Palestinian from the besieged and destroyed Gaza 😭😭, coming from an extended family of young children, women and elderly people ❤❤ who have been suffering😭😭 for 300 difficult days from an aggressive war.
Our lives are harsh because we lack all the basic necessities of life. Everything has become scarce and unattainable. There is no food, no water, no medicine.
So, I ask you to help me keep my family safe and alive, especially after we had lost all our sources of livelihood. Please do not leave my family to struggle and suffer these difficult days alone. You can support my campaign by donating whatever you can or by sharing my posts to reach others who can help us survive the war to safety and peace. You are helping the lives of many people with your small contribution. Every donation makes a difference in our very difficult lives. But this is a legitimate campaign and has been checked by 90-ghost.

- Carl Orff, Carmina Burana
Released in 1987, this masterpiece featuring both Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of the group Queen, and Montserrat Caballé, a famous soprano opera singer, was originally made for the opening of the 1992 Summer Olympics. Caballé was so enthusiasted she decided to make a whole album with Mercury. Himself a big fan of Caballé, accepted with joy; giving birth to the album "Barcelona", in 1988.
(Lyrics undere the cut)

Of my rare works in which the composition is organized in a disordered way, especially emphasizing texture and color shimmers.
Despite the celebratory colors you can feel a certain coldness that is familiar to anyone who has been to the art performances.
Started my libretto for a horror themed 20,000 leagues under the sea opera!!
This scene is when one of the crew mates gets his head exploded by a broken lever (due to Nemo’s secret ramming adventures)!
please guys stream Kassya prelude and Kassya trepak by Leo Delibes cause I need some orchestra to perform the whole opera and put it online.
context: it's based on a short story by Sacher-Masoch. Delibes died before the opera could be arranged and it was arranged by someone else (I don't remember who rn) so it technically could be performed. There was also an exhibition that was recorded for an article for Le Figaro but that's it and I can't even download that for some reason.
The phantom of the opera is there...
Sono quel genere di persona che in un bar sta in disparte,
che guarda gli altri come fossero un'opera d'arte
e vedo come a volte si avvicinano,
mi parlano di qualcosa e poi come sono venuti si allontanano.

Here’s another drawing of my two bois!
For the past couple of days, I’ve been watching the HMS Pinafore opera (I like musicals)! And I’ve been liking it. While I was watching it, I started to imagine a different world (or au of sorts):
Where Finn is the son of the captain (his dad) on a ship called C.H.R.O.M.E. There are also sailor who worked on the same ship, with one of the sailors being Leland who actually falls in love with the captain’s son. Of course, Finn doesn’t notice at first. but later starts to develop feelings for the special sailor. But, there relationship might not become good as it may be. Because of how a romantic relationship with a rich and poor is unethical.
I’m really proud of this drawing of the two, mostly Finn’s outfit!. Also, don’t mind that sailor is spelled wrong. Just pretend you don’t see it.
It's time to talk about Eurovision! The lists have been shaping during the entire spring and I'm ready to talk! Let's do the different genres first. Even though characterized as a pop song contest which it still is Eurovision holds a large range of influences of other genres as well. I always find sending something else than pure pop to Eurovision as a bold move and nevertheless how well they do they develope the event and give courage to those to think outside of the box!
(in alphabetical order)
AUSTRALIA / Kate Miller-Heidke / Zero Gravity - Opera /Pop
FINLAND / Darude feat. Sebastian Rejman / Look away - Dance / Pop
HUNGARY / Joci Pápai / Az én apám - Folk/ pop
ICELAND / Hatari / Hatriö mun sigra - techno/rock
ITALY / Mahmood / Soldi - R&B/pop
POLAND / Tulia / Fire of Love (Pali sie) - Folk / choir
PORTUGAL Conan Osiris / Telemóveis - Genreless / mix of everything
Who said that Eurovision is just a pop song contest?
HUNGARY - AWS - Vislát Nyár (heavy metal) - Semifinal II
Hungary’s heavy metal entry is not the one I’d vote for but I’m glad they’re in this year bringing diversity to the competition. Hoping it will do well so it would encourage similar acts coming to ESC in the future. This is how the event will grow.
THE NETHERLANDS - WAYLON - Outlaw in ‘em (country) - Semifinal II
The Netherlands’ country entry is not bad at all. The song works and he’s got a nice charisma. It’s not my top favorites but not my lowest of the low either.
ESTONIA - ELINA NECHAYEVA - La forza (opera) - Semifinal I
The first time I heard/ saw this I was only blown away with the dress and visual performance. I was impressed by her singing of course but was unable to like it without seeing the performance as well. Now I’m warming up to the studio version and just listening to it also. This is one of my top favorites this year and what I wouldn’t do for Estonia winning the whole damn thing! But I’m super worried about the news of financial difficulties and bringing the dress to Lisbon. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed so that we’d get to see this in Lisbon as it was in Estonia!
SLOVENIA - LEA SIRK - Hvala, ne (rap) - Semifinal II
I don’t usually like rap/hip hop but the energy of Slovenian entry just gets me every time! Fine, this is still quite “poppy” but it does stand out! I feel like it’s underrated and I hope more people would find it. She’s performed well at the pre-parties so expectations are high for her Lisbon performance. I’m really, really hoping that this would make it to Grand Final!
Another entries which I don’t find as traditional pop songs are:
BELGIUM - SENNEK - A matter of time (art pop)
ISRAEL - NETTA - Toy (so much personality in this one)
Also POLAND - GROMEE FEAT LUKAS MEIJER - Light me up doesn’t stand for me as a traditional upbeat pop song. It has some nice dance, elektronic sounds in it.
+ several jazzy, soul-spirited entries from LATVIA, AUSTRIA, BULGARIA (see my previous post about ESC.

I don’t know much about opera in general, but I always thought stories about power struggles in the Kremlin in the days of the Soviet Union would make good opera fodder. Larger than life personalities, plots and counterplots, occasional bloodshed; how could it miss?
Hey, there’s an opera about Nixon’s visit to China; anything’s possible nowadays.
What are some things you think would make good opera plots? Pull from whatever source- anime, pro-wrestling storylines, telenovelas, whatever. What’s the season program for the Martian Opera House?

This is not Elisabeth das Musical, it's an opera-musical by Austrian composer Roland Baumgartner also based on Sissi's life.
The musical premiered in Mörbisch in 1991 and is one of the first modern musicals about Empress Elisabeth of Austria.
