I was reading through old Ace Attorney blog posts on the capcom website and I just have to share some of my favourite facts

Klavier is not actually German (shocking ik) but he did study in Germany
They had to make Sister Bikini short because they were running out of cartridge memory
They are aware of shipping.. "I tried to paint a picture of the intensely strong bond of friendship that two men can share, but I wonder if that’s what people got out of it? There seems to be those who would suggest that Phoenix and Edgeworth’s ‘intensely strong bond’ is more of an ‘intensely passionate bond’ of sorts…” Make them canon you cowards
Shu Takumi is a hobbyist magician
They created Franziska to be the main prosecutor of AA2 instead of Edgeworth because he's too popular, they wanted to use him more sparingly
The class trial was based on something that actually happening to Shu Takumi (though he had no Edgeworth to save him 💔)

Ineffable Husbands: They spent several thousand years pining. Hell's most angelic demon and Heaven's most devilish angel. Aziraphale was the angel that guarded Eden and Crowley was the snake, and Crowley fell in love the moment Aziraphale told him that he gave Adam and Eve the flaming sword for protection when they were kicked out. They've stuck together for thousands of years, two immortals in a world populated by short mortal lifespans, the only constants in each others lives. Also they lost the antichrist and spent ten years raising a mundane human child together. Narumitsu: they knew each other as children and then spent the rest of their childhoods apart, but when Miles became a prosecuting attorney, Phoenix was inspired to drop out of art school to become a defense. they resolve arguments by duking it out in court. The timeline of the games is over ten years long and Miles doesn’t really mellow out until the end I’m pretty sure so like. If they were canon it would be in their 30’s not in their 20’s when the game starts. but also Phoenix is so obviously Miles’ gay (re?)awakening in literally chapter 2 of the first game so. take from that what you will.
I hope Phoenix and Edgeworth become canon but it’s like 20% offensive. I hope it comes off like it was written by a gen xer who was trying to be supportive but did not do their research. I hope they become so extremely stereotypical (a la Jean Armstrong) that it circles back around to being iconique. I hope Maya calls someone a metrosexual again. She should call someone a fairy too. I hope they give Apollo another backstory where he was childhood friends with a character called Eaton Cox
