Shotout to non-white transmasc people.
Transmasc people who have textured hair and don't want to cut It short.
Transmasc people whose culture doesn't consider long hair as feminine.
Transmasc people who want to appear feminine, but are masculinized by society.
Transmasc people who aren't "cute skinny non-threatening hairless white boy".
Transmasc people who think about living as a cis woman to find a husband to not let their ethnicity dissapear.

back in middle school, my friend stopped standing for the pledge. she was called outside by the teacher and she told me that she was told off by her for it (unsurprisingly because of the person the teacher was)
soon enough, most of us stopped standing for it after realizing it was an option
when i entered high school (in 2021 due to covid), no one stood for the pledge.
my school was majority hispanic, black, and asian with like 4 white people.
we knew this country didnt care about us. we werent going to pledge for a country that hated us
dear usamerican high schoolers looking for a way to resist fascism: sit through the pledge of allegiance.
no getting up. no looking at the flag.
everyone will be looking at you. you'll be sweating like a fucking hippopotamus. your teacher will sternly tell you to get up. you'll feel stupid and that maybe its not worth it because you're just a kid in a classroom. but I'm here to remind you that there are no real life consequences to detention. there are however real life consequences to resisting a thoughtless performance of nationalism.
Because of all this political bullshit going on I haven’t had the chance to check out the snk spoilers (not that I want to 😬), the new season of the promised neverland, or the new season of beastars.
In many circles both online and irl, I see ppl of the Caucasian persuasion obsessing over certain cultural dresses, religions, practices, philosophy, food, etc. I see this especially within pagan or "new age" religious and spiritual groups. As I understand it, lots of these people are looking to "find themselves." To escape the often Christian, capitalist, modern lifestyles and values they were raised under. My question is this: Why not actually look into your roots? If your reasoning for this major life change is that modern life is "too far gone" from what life should be like, why not look to your own ancestors and take inspiration from those cultural practices? Immigrants from Europe to America (like most other immigrants) were forced to assimilate and, in the process, watered down and lost their culture. However, unlike immigrants who may have been internally displaced, or whose home countries were already overtaken by colonialism, European immigrants still left their culture in their old homes. It's alive! Why not go find it?
My theory? The white guilt of colonialism is too great. They don't want to confront the fact that such a large portion of their ancestry was so cruel, and therefore, they steal the ancestry and culture of the oppressed.
Hello! I’m Abby! I’m known by Artsy Abby and I’m a mental health advocate as well as social justice fighter. I raise awareness for world issues and a provide links to articles so people can educate themselves on the subject as well as petitions and relief funds for people in need. I have a lot of links in groups based on events and times. For example, as a member of both the LGBTQ+ and POC communities, I’ve got a lot of links that are relevant right now I’ve added to those specific sections. I also have spreadsheets for peaceful protests depending on event (BLM, Roe v Wade, so on and so forth), state/country and affordable therapy (both singular and group). Those can all be found in my linktree attached below.
On top of all that, I’m an influencer and rising musician! I wanted to use my platform for good, and my lyrics always touch on something that people can relate to. Wether it’s mental health struggles, love, feeling alone, you name it, I’ve got a song for that. I want people to know that they’re not alone.
I am currently looking for a studio to record in and a management team or maybe find some sort of agency to work with! I think I have a lot of potential and would love for others to see that.
I just released my third album, Mixed Signals, it’s currently being put on all platforms and I would love to know what y’all think! Here is the link for Apple Music https://music.apple.com/us/album/mixed-signals/1631347119

Absolutely beautiful.
As a QPOC myself I can completely get the looming feeling of being isolated in the places you're supposed to belong in.
Ever since coming to terms with my sexuality I'd felt so conflicted about it. At times it even felt as though I was somehow a disappointment to my people for not continuing their practices and traditions in the way they were originally.
But fuck that.
If you're a person of color who happens to be queer, guess what? You belong! You are just as big a part of culture as anyone else and no one can take that from you! Nothing in this world remains stagnant and the ways in which we feel connected to our culture is no different!
Happy Trans Day of Visibility! This year I wanted to celebrate by showing you what Lunar Boy, our upcoming middle grade graphic novel, means to us as queer Indonesian representation: the thought process behind crafting a sci-fi Indonesian future that embraces queer history.
Pre-order Lunar Boy or add it on goodreads! Support QPOC creators and stories!
