I've recently really been trying to beat my burn out by doing other things - pottery painting for example! It's become a bit of an addiction (I currently have 9 various bits of pottery to paint at home 🙈) but really fulfilling!
I'm sure you've all also noticed the jacket I'm painting on my instagram stories if you follow me there - I'll be wearing it as pitfighter Vi at MCM Comic Con in London this year, so maybe look out for me? 👀 Or don't actually, I'm really shy haha!
Anyway, that's my little update. I can feel the creative juices starting to flow again and can't wait for my little break for con in October. Ciao💫

Reflecting on Old Work
One of my resolutions this year was to have a portfolio I'm proud of.
I went back through so much work on my hard drive and honestly? I still think it's all good, there's old pieces I still love, but it all feels like I've grown out of it.
My goals have changed, my sense of self has changed and despite the work being good in itself, I just don't feel like it reflects me anymore.
It feels like I'm having to start from the ground up again and it's super disheartening to look at years and years of my own work and go "that's not me."

Three ships: Griddlehark, my beloved.. they just rotate in my brain no matter what I'm doing and I'm not ready for the series to end next year. CaitVi because yes. I want my messy blue/red lesbians and I hc Vi (gentle) touch starved af. Camilla Hect and therapy.
First ever ship: I cannot avoid the weird kid allegations anymore: Sonadow (Sonic X Shadow..... yes the hedgehogs).
Last song: Hot by Liili
Last film: Vesper on Netflix. I really liked the world they were presenting with the Citadels and lab-made viruses/diseases/fungi infecting and killing most of the world's wildlife and food. Workers have been replaced with lab-made creatures called Jugs due to them being easier to control so the lower class are struggling to survive outside the Citadels. Vesper is a girl who's self-studying to help make crops fertile again. It was pretty good, I recommend to anyone who fancies something different to watch.
Currently watching: Superstore on Netflix, recommended to me by a friend.
Currently reading: Frontier by Grace Curtis. Keeping with the dystopian themes I love so much; we follow a stranger who's fallen down to Earth in search of (what I assume is) their romantic interest/partner (because it's apparently a romance). The people of Earth now worship the planet itself, which is interesting as some phrases concerning hell have been replaced with space and phrases concerning god have been replaced with goddess (Mother Earth, fuck yeah, god is a woman). It's been interesting so far, but it feels like a story I'd prefer experiencing as a game.
Currently consuming: Tea.
Currently craving: Cinnamon buns tbh.

✍️ Of the supporting characters, who's POV would you be most interested in reading?
I say this with my whole chest:
CAMILLA HECT
Not only has she been in every book so far (more than the protag's even), she is smart and quiet about it. I want to know her feelings going to the First. I want to meet the bitterness she feels when "Dulcinea" does not know the Sixth. I want to find her grief for Palamedes and hold it gently in my hands.
Even more, I want to know her side of the story in HtN; how did BoE come to trust them enough to take Nona and go rent a place, what happened between Judith, Corona and Camilla when they lost Gideon's body, how Camilla came to trust Pyrrha. Camilla's reaction to Palamedes suddenly being able to take over her body and how they figured it out.
I want an in-depth description of her emotional breakdown when Palamedes offers their version of Lyctorhood up to her and she bursts into tears on the spot. I want to know her last thoughts as her and Pal's souls merge.

I have some goals I want to hit this new year with my art. I’ve felt burnt out since I finished my masters in 2021 and I’ve been really trying to break out of it and I feel like I’m getting to a good place now.
I’m strictly not going to be posting WIPs unless it’s the odd instagram story photo. I feel as though allowing myself to do that has been stopping me from actually finishing things properly, hence why a lot of what I’ve made last year has been sketchy and sketchbook work. I know I’m capable of more polished work but I’m stopping myself from getting there by giving myself the instant gratification of people seeing my WIP posts. I’ve been testing this recently by keeping a lot of my works away from the internet and my craving to be on social media has gone down (healthy!!!), granted this would mean I’m less active overall (more healthy!!!!).
I just want to explore myself this year and find an adventure or two to go on, but mostly work on my career and find what I really want/enjoy doing. I feel as though I want to be able to do everything and it’s draining me. Despite always wanting to go into storyboarding and character design, I’ve found that I’ve barely worked on both areas because of my overwhelming desire to be good at everything. So my big single goal is to focus on one area for a while and then see where it might lead me.
I can’t wait to get started on my plans for 2023 and I hope you guys enjoy what I put out in the future!✨

This has to be the fastest I’ve grown in follows on any account. Thanks so much for being around and I hope you all enjoy my future stuff!
I’m feeling burn out pretty bad recently from putting a lot of pressure on myself, but also I'm working on long projects right now so I'm going to take some time to chill out on my free time and maybe see to rebranding and figuring out what I want to do with my social media.
I’m not leaving social media, there will be just less of me until I figure things out. I want to start streaming again and maybe looking into actually making stuff for my Youtube channel (because why not). Twitter is an unstable environment at the moment, but I’m not leaving it until I absolutely have to because I really enjoy the posting format (though I cry for the lack of a gallery). Instagram’s not all that great with their whacky algorithms and I feel like Tumblr is more of a space for fanart to thrive, rather than original.
Either way, I just want to link some bits if people would like to follow me elsewhere like Instagram, Twitch and Ko-Fi, but I’m looking into other stuff too. Maybe I’ll revive my tiktok account for funsies and see where it gets me hahaha!

Idk if anyone would be interested, but I’m trying to make a Sonic Discord server for all the Sonesbians out there (mainly because I have next to NO lesbian Sonic fan friends and it’s driving me insane !!) (also, Sonic + lesbian = Sonesbian - do with that information what you will LMAO)
