Guys, who remembers Slugterra and watched Slugterra when they were a child?
If you were to describe Slugterra (the show and the concept {separately}) in a couple of words what will it be?
the fact that I watched both Ninjago and Slugterra when I was younger and never made the connection that these characters had the same VA is kinda baffling tbh
guys was slugterra really gay or was it just me
One thing I always found interesting about Saturday's weapon (other than that it seemingly can't fire slugs) is that it was clearly custom-designed with the Cryptogriff in mind. If it just worked for any slug then it would be way too powerful since it means a slinger could constantly shoot blasts of whatever element the slug inside is able to manifest without having to worry about retrieving it.
What makes it even worse is that even if the slug inside runs out of steam and the slinger doesn't have any others to replace it with the blaster basically doubles as a melee weapon since it's basically just a spear and your opponent could still throw it at you for a ranged attack.
Like imagine you just went through the most rough endurance fight ever, your opponent's slugs have FINALLY run out of energy to keep blasting and then you see your opponent hit this stance.
Ngl I feel like one thing that would have been really fun to see in Slugterra post-Blakk downfall would be the slingers he hired working with each other or characters outside of Blakk Industries.
like for example: after some hijinx ensue maybe Twist accidentally gets dragged into joining the Scrap Force or Sedo and Saturday team up to try (and fail) to get revenge on Pronto.
Not to yap about headcannons unprompted (jk I am doing exactly that) but I kinda like to imagine that the Slugnet treats the more important members of Blakk Industries (especially the ones who are already popular Slugslingers like C.C) sorta like how online spaces in our world treat real celebrities or like boybands or something. I'm talking stans, going crazy when a member leaves, shipping wars, all of it.
Random tangent incoming but one thing that always fascinated me about Saturday's character is that he doesn't seem to have a clear role in Blakk Industries.
Like C.C was a well-respected slinger so he was likely recruited to raise the general opinion of Blakk Industries, Nacho is an enforcer which I assume mostly means he scares people into giving Blakk what he wants, Twist is Blakk's apprentice, and the large group of mercenary characters Blakk recruits in the trade (which includes Locke and Lode) are most likely either there to A: raise public interest in ghouls kinda like what C.C is there for or B: to do tasks for Blakk that aren't important enough to do himself or send Nacho to do but that he can't just send one of the random unnamed guards to complete.
But Saturday's whole thing is mind control which could be useful to Blakk but Saturday seems way more interested in using that power for his own gain. After all, Blakk wouldn't have any use for the stolen big screen TVs or couch cushions from Caverna Mall
Not to mention Saturday has some lines suggesting that his role in Blakk Industries might be a bit more complicated like "Blakk may have given me the ghoul tech, but I work for no one but myself" in Dawn of the Slug or when he says "I am a business man and this is strictly business!.. although I am running a little low on ghouls Dr. Blakk." after Eli calls him another one of Blakk's minions
I'm probably thinking way too hard about this but I am curious to hear what anyone else might think about this.
I love ROTE but one thing i'm kinda mad they never showed us is Blakk fighting the Goon in his mind to try and maintain control like they did with Eli in Ghoul From Beyond.
Like I get why they didn't because they needed to put more focus on Will Shane being not dead but it would have been interesting to see the different approach the Goon would have had to take to get Blakk to lose control since Blakk is A: not similar to Eli mentally at all and B: still conscious while in GFB Eli was knocked out
How I feel waiting for the release date of Slugterra All-Stars to be an actual day instead of "Q1 2025"
(btw for anyone who doesn't know, Slugterra All-Stars is an official re-release of the flash games from the old Slugterra website which is being released on Steam)
this screenshot is old so the release date is listed as "coming soon"
Slugterra All-Stars tomorrow
Update: the release date has been changed to Q2 of 2025 F in the chat
I think one of the funniest parts about Saturday is that on top of everything in the show that never gets fully addressed, like how Saturday seems determined to deny that he is working under/for Dr. Blakk is how his character description from the fandom wiki drops that he is from the Tropical caverns (which are mentioned nowhere outside of this description) and that there are rumours of him experimenting with dark slug magic and they just leave that there and never elaborate
Going back to Blakk’s goons what are your thoughts on Mr.Saturday for me I think he’s a neat villain. What about you?
Mr. Saturday was an interesting character with cool ass lore that got turned into a gag for the sake of plot-
I mentioned this in tags once, but 'Dawn of The Slug' Saturday would have not fallen for Eli's bluff in 'Mission: Improbable'
Mr. Saturday is objectively smart and had it not been for plot reasons Eli, Trixie and Kord would not have been able to pull the shit they did during 'Mission: Improbable' and would have been turned into hypno-zombies till Blakk arrived. Because you would think after what happened in Caverna Mall, Saturday would have been more cautious when dealing with the Shane Gang
Saturday is also supposedly from a secret southern cavern or something along those lines, and that opens a crap ton of questions???
All in all, Mr. Saturday is cool, I like him. But given his unique role, i get why he wasn't used more.
The Shane Gang taking Stalagmite 17 back in canon Slugterra: "All right guys, we tricked Saturday and escaped Blakk. The day is saved and Stalagmite 17 is no longer under Saturday's control!"
Slug It Out 1 Eli: "I beat Saturday and his henchmen! time to Blow up stalagmite 17"
After re-reading the Cryptogriff's page on the fandom wiki I think we should be grateful that Saturday (and the Emperor too I guess but Idc about him) only used the Cryptogriff for mind control because WHAT DO YOU MEAN THIS IS ONE OF IT'S ABILITIES
"Mindshlock - Paralyzes opponent, but makes them see creepy crawlies all over them."
I AM BEGGING FOR YOUR FINEST PARDON LIKE SATURDAY BEGGING FOR BLAKK'S FORGIVENESS AFTER HE FINDS OUT HE DISOBEYED A DIRECT ORDER WHY CAN IT DO THAT?
I thought the mind control was overpowered but this is genuinely absurd because that's basically another instant-win attack.
like how are you supposed to fight back against that? Even if you aren't scared of the bugs you're still paralyzed so it's not like you can fight back.
other than that it also has the ability to overwhelm an opponent with vertigo and motion sickness which is only a little less overpowered than the other 2.
other than The Goon and the ghouled elementals, the Cryptogriff HAS to be one of if not the most powerful ghoul slugs.
SATURDAY HEADCANNONS RAAAHHH (might steal some of these)

There is a group chat for all the highered Slingers. And no, it is in no way professional.
Everyone has stupid Users and the chat name changes at least five times a day on average.
There is a group chat for the regular day to day workers, but it's far more casual and general updates.
Twist is an annoying little shit.
^Constant bragging about being 'Blakk's apprentice'
C.C. loves to rub it in Twist's face Blakk picked him for the mission in 'Lightwell'
Everyone dogs on Saturday for falling for Eli's bluff in 'Mission Improbable'
Saturday retaliates by hypnotizing them for a while until Blakk tells him to stop.
Everyone loves Maurice
I don't care Maurice is the best and everyone(Blakk included) would kill for the man
Maurice is the only one able to even be able to talk some level of sense into Blakk
It is no secret that our of everyone in Blakk Industries, Blakk trusts Maurice the most, seeing as how Blakk is actually nice to him(though its probably because they have known each other for years)
Locke and Lode are actually smarter than people give them credit for, they just just bicker so much that they tend to forget what's going on around them.
Blakk, is a feminist, interpret that as you will
When Sedo approached Blakk to work for him, he promised that once he became King of Molemound Blakk could do whatever he wanted.
Twist sometimes has, regrets, about working for Blakk but then remembers how he used to live
^he sometimes has dream about what life would have been like if he hadn't double crossed the Shane Gang
There had been, hundreds of jokes in regards to El Diablos Nacho and his name
none are said in ear shot because no one wants to die :)
Quintin drank way to much coffee and had so little sleep while developing the Titan Tanks
Blakk Industries is surprisingly inclusive for a company run by an eco terrorist
Billy and the rest of the Hooligang are annoying little shits, but in the endearing way
Billy and Twist hate each other
NO ONE TRUSTED THE DARK BANE NOT EVEN BLAKK HIMSELF
A lot of the staff are huge SlugBall fans
So when Primo Presto started on the pay roll they were psyched because they could get SlugBall tickets for an even cheepier price
^Blakk Industries sells tickets for various events at a reduced price to its employees to help with moral (for the record, this is a legit thing companies can do, my mom's company dose it)
say what you will, the cafeteria serves good food
Not everyone working there agrees with the Ghouling but some people just really need the money
Since Eli Shane happened, there have been prank calls coming in

"Blakk Industries, Bringing you Tomorrow's Yesterday Today, My name is Steve, how can I help you?"
"So you sell Ligma?"
"... Ligma? whats Ligma I-"
"LIGMA BALLS" [hangs up]
"... what the fu-"
☆
"Blakk Industries, Bringing you Tomorrow's Yesterday Today, My name is Camron, how can I help you?"
[Caller starts trauma dumping]
"... uh... this is a corporate manufacturing company-"
☆
"Blakk Industries, Bringing you Tomorrow's Yesterday Today, My name is Aaron, how can I help you?"
[Caller proceeds to spend four and a half hours on the phone, making a custom order for like 1000+ gold Mecha]
"Alright sir, is that everything?"
"yup"
"perfect! be for I submit your request, as per Blakk Industries policy-"
"wait- Blakk Industries? I thought I was talking to someone form the Beast Forge! agh! never mind-"[hangs up]
"... SO I DID ALL THAT FOR NOTHING!?!? @#%$!"
-
No one is paid enough to deal with it lmao
They host parties ranging form birthday parties for employees to grand gala's
^Clearly inspired by the Blakk Gala community event
There was a debate on weather or not to fish Blite out of the Cavern of Time
It was ultimately a no
Darius (the guy posing as the head of the Beast Forge that one ep) knows nothing about Mecha Beast's
Blakk attempted to bribe Judge Logan once before Blakk Industries really took off, Blakk ended up working hard labour for six months until Maurice came to get him
Twist is actually friends with an Arachnoid, don't ask how, it just happened.
Viggo Dare did try to get his 'gang' back from Blakk once.
Viggo Dare was never seen leaving Blakk's office.
One thing I love about the ROTE movie is how like 50% of the time Dr. Blakk and the Goon are a genuinely threatening villain duo while the other 50% Feels like this
This list is based on how much I like them, not how powerful they are.
Seriously though why hasn't Twist, a fan favourite, lore important character been added to the game yet as a skin?
No hate to the devs it just seems strange to me
I say they only Kind of added it because while the one they added looks exactly like the Wild Spectre VD (the official name of Saturday's blaster) the one they added is called the Spectral Staff and according to its description, is a replica
What strikes me as odd is with all of the other blasters that specifically belonged to villains (C.C and John Bull) or neutral mercenaries(Frost and Flame), the names are unchanged and will say something like "was once wielded by (insert name here)" so why is this one specifically singled out as a replica with Saturday's name unmentioned?
Does this mean that the location of Saturday's blaster is unknown and the rest have been taken from their respective owners?
is it only a replica because Saturday is being added as a boss at some point and both allowing the player to fight him with his own blaster or taking away his iconic one wouldn't make sense?
Who made the replica and why?
Yall we have got to talk more about what happened to Blakk after his second Deep Caverns visit because WHAT THE FLOP HAPPENED TO HIM
DID HE DRINK THE DARK WATER OR SOMETHING LIKE THE EMPEROR WENT SWIMMING IN THAT STUFF BUT IT WAS NEVER THIS BAD
like holy guacamole that transformation looks like it hurt. his arms have SPIKES GROWING OUT OF THEM not to mention his left hand is MISSING A FINGER
like did the Goon or Brimstone get a bit hungry and eat it before his transformation? WHERE DID IT GO
Props to Blakk for always having fabulous eyeliner even when he's been horribly mutated
Oh my god I agree with the tags so much Dawn of the Slug Saturday NEVER would have fallen for that.
(also yeah how does Pronto have security clearance to enter Stalagmite 17 through the front door)
Having to re-watch Mission: Improbable,
[Not my favorite ep admittedly]
And Pronto really did just enter through the front door like it was nothing, and maneuvered through Security Lazers like a pro.
I know we rag on the Mole for being an old man (30-40) but, infiltrating the most secure building in all of Slugterra next to Blakk's Citadel via the front fucking door is such a Chad move.
And yeah, Eli, Trixie, and Kord were causing some chaos on their end, distracting Mr. Saturday and his zombies, but Pronto didn't know that.
Pronto is just a jack of all trades, and it shows, lmao
C.C. is a nepo baby huh (makes me wonder about his parents and what they do and what influence they have)
(for context, here's the section about C.C on the fandom wiki which is taken from the old official Slugterra website)
"The somewhat spoiled son of a wealthy family from the Western Caverns, CC always has the latest in blaster mods and armor technology. CC loves a good taunt and a good duel, especially when he wins."
Yeah pretty much
According to the wiki he has super rich parents but like WHY WAS THAT NEVER A PLOT POINT
Look, basically all of Blakk's higherd Slingers had some sort of gimmick
(you can fight me on that)
But C.C.? He was literally some guy that was there for the on-call/9-5 pay.
Look at him, JUST LOOK^^^
this man was just there to take orders and get payment.
Also, it's wild. We see more of C.C. than literally any other minor villain. With the exception of Lock and Load. I wana say we see them just as often.
Like during the Light Well episode, I was half expecting Twist to show up, to have him be the one that followed Eli, not Blakk.
But it's C.C. leading what's basically a small army of Blakk's goons against that Shadow Clan and the Shane Gang. You would think Blakk's 'apprentice' [Twist] would be trusted with something like that!
I just find it amazing that probably out of everyone working at Balkk Industries, C.C. is probably the most normal person working there next to the nameless grunts in uniform.
(these were written in notes app on my phone and placed on this list in random order.)
El Diablos Nacho - Monster by Skillet
C.C - Nepo Baby by Ned Flames
Dr. Blakk - Above and Beyond by Riproducer
Tad - Like Him by Tyler the Creator
Mr. Saturday - 2econd 2ight 2eer by Will Wood
The Master of the Game - Creative Control by SMG4
Spirex - Spider Dance by Toby Fox
Twist - Double Life by Pharrell Williams
if anyone has any villains they would like to assign songs of their own feel free to mention them in comments or reblogs
I don't like either of these characters but it just fit way too well for me to not do this.
Haven't made a Slugterra meme with the main characters yet so I had to lock in
Hell naw the 99 caverns are cooked 😭🙏
fr this is why I love Slug It Out 1 so much like yeah sure Saturday just has his own set of henchmen now outside of the zombies and all of them are super cool and unique characters
Hey, remember, Slug It Out 1?
And how it was like a retelling of the show, and it added in game only characters and story lines?
Like the Shame Gang?
The doppelgangers of the Shane Gang
^ that is Alias Shame- I can't find pictures of the others but if these goobers where in the show it would be fucking hilarious because you have the Shame Gang being punks causing trouble, or worse yet, joining Blakk Industries, and because they look like the Shane Gang everyone is fucking confused, and Eli is low key panicking because "WHY IS EVERYONE SAYING IM WORKING WITH BLAKK?!"
And Blakk is laughing in the background because he's ruining the Shane's reputation by having hired halfway decent look a likes.
I will never forgive SIO2 for not having any cutscenes like in SIO1 because LOOK HOW COOL THESE ARE
and I can't forget my personal favourite
I MISS THESE SO MUCH SIO2 IS SO BLAND WITHOUT THEM
Also, I could play as Mr. Saturday without GAMBLING for MONTHS and I STILL DONT HAVE HIM
(also fun fact: in the SIO1 cutscenes Saturday only has an earring on his right ear while in canon he has one on both)
