my roommate has a hard time shipping a character with different characters in general and i love the chaos of everyone with everyone

I love telling my friends about ships I enjoy and having them go "wait, no I see it.." and just be angry at me because they'll never unsee it. But at the same time how do I explain to people outside my friend group that I see these 5 as a polyamorous couple..
