Anyone else remember that one episode of scooby doo when they were in some like haunted hotel or sum shit like dat and the whole episode was just fred and daphne investigating or something while Velma tries to bang Shaggy. I'm not kidding. Shaggy's really worried about Scooby because the hotel was "no pets allowed" and never pickss up on how much flirting Velma was doing. I watched it for the first time when I was like 8 and I still remember thinking, "wow Shaggy's a fucking dumbass, stfu about the dog for 8 seconds a fuck yo girl or istg I'll do it for you." Okay that's not excactly what i thought but it's what my bisexual bitch ass thinking now

Cartoon review: “Velma” | Diverse Tech Geek

I give a review of the new HBO Max series "Velma," supposedly an adult-oriented "Scooby-Doo" prequel. Unfortunately, it doesn't do its source material or adult focus well.

Overall, “Velma” didn’t leave me irate, just mildly annoyed at how banal and adolescent its “adult” humor felt, while lacking much else of interest. While I’m glad we finally got a racially diverse version of Mystery, Inc., I just wish it was for a more traditional take on the gang. Otherwise, this show is pretty much “‘Scooby-Doo’ in name only.”

In the middle of the night i (randomly) thought that metallica looks like the Scooby Doo gang so here it is

Lets be clear Mindy Kaling didn't want to make a Scooby Doo series. She wanted to make an animated series about her highschool years. But the execs weren't having that, because who the fuck wants to watch another series of Mindy Khaling being insecure, and obessing over white men.

No one, that's who! So Scooby Doo was offered up as a sacrificial lamb to draw in viewers. How dumb does she think young people are? Random gore, sex scenes and the occasional fuck does not make something mature. And then she has the gall to be mad at viewers for calling her out on her shit? You can't piss on me and and tell me its raining. This show is gonna join the hall of shitty Adult cartoons. Right up their with Chicago Party Aunt, High Guardian Spice, Mr pickles, Magical Girl Friendship Squad, Mama made me sheriff and the like.

A few years ago, I made some Scooby marker illustrations for a title sequence.  I turned a few into gifs.  No idea if the art was ever used, but it might be in the Beach Beastie short on this DVD that was released earlier this month.

Whatever happened with it, these were a lot of fun to do, and hope that someday I can use my marker illustrations for an animated project again.
