You were never meant to be this way

I have recently discovered that I’m allergic to corn, and I definitely wasn’t before.

There are several reasons why this is upsetting, but the biggest is because I am known for my love of popcorn. I love all types of corn in general, but popcorn is my one true love.

So, tonight, there was corn in the dinner mum made, and it was too late not to eat it so I just shrugged and said, “eh if imma suffer later I might as well enjoy it now,” which was fine because it didn’t cause a reaction at all, and it usually shows up within 15-20 minutes.

Meanwhile, it’s been an hour since then, and I go for some popcorn cause why the fLIP not were watching a movie

And I kid you not. Two. Pieces. Of popcorn in. My stomach decides to stage a mutiny, and now I have cramps. (Mind you I don’t GET CRAMPS, lucky me I suppose)

So now I’m crying while eating more popcorn because it tastes so good, and I used to be fine, but now I can’t eat it without internally screaming.
