Ok hear me out.......... wlw Wilhuff Tarkin and Orson Krennic-

the dynamic very much is unhinged creative vs rigid control freak in a context of evil bureaucracy- and personally the context is why I love to read stories with imperials jdjdkd nothing is more crack cocaine literature for me than to make drama in a space office filled with awful people

More flavor text and me trying to sell you on why this ship of two truly terrible people is great below vvv

For Krennic, lean more into the evil genius artist. She's been up for 46 hours straight drawing schematics, she's rambling about incomprehensible shit, her only meals have been cigarettes and energy drinks, she's so full of herself she might one day think she's god, she's gonna die by 60. She doesn't care much about the politics of the empire, but they don't bother her either. She works for the imperials because they have a lot funds to give to engineers willing to build them a battle station the size of a moon capable of blowing up planets. Before that she worked on a lot a architectures on imperial center/Coruscant.

The imperial uniforms are a bit boring- so I'm taking full advantage of the fact Krennic is more of an engineer/architect to tweak her uniform a bit (and the cape was already not respecting regulations sooooo) For Tarkin I'm keeping it tho, this woman won't be caught dead without it.

For Tarkin, lean less into the whole buff survivalist aspect- she very much was in her youth, but she *is* a 65 year old woman based on *Peter Cushing*, and has been in a very high and prestigious position within the empire for the past 20 years. She still as an extensive knowledge on how to survive in nature, and fight with her bare hands or a knife, but that doesn't come up very often in her line of work anymore. She still killed a space bear unharmed when she was like 17 tho. She hates chaos and developed the main philosophy that drove the empire to this day : to govern with fear and impose order. She is a bloodthirsty woman in her sixties, with a never ending hunger for power, currently cheating on her wife with a coworker she hates.

They both love the death star more than they tolerate each other, but they did end up bonding over plotting the demise of one coworker they couldn't stand and digging out rebel spies. Make no mistake tho, this is very much a love triangle/trouple between two women and a giant battle station.

In the end, Tarkin killed Krennic by shooting her from orbit with the death star, the project was finally finished, she didn't need her anymore and she might have gotten in the way of her control of the station.

Tarkin dies a few days later during the battle of Yavin, along the death star, not willing to back down in her moments of glory.

PS : a lot of this is inspired by the fic "Propagating structure" by oneinspats ! it's what made me like and understand this pairing, and is truly a great work of fiction. I really think this fic is a masterful work when it comes to expending the character of Krennic, and extrapolating on existing things. Exploring his more creative side, his passion for his work, his truly abysmal lifestyle, giving him a hatred of nature and a background as an architect on Coruscant. While also keeping his horrific aspects, like reading his internal (or external) monologues sometimes makes my skin crawl with how disgusting his ideas are and how deep they run, but making him an interesting and compelling protag for the story. While all of it is surrounded by this delicious dramatic irony, because we know that no matter how hard they try to scheme (or fuck), the death star will blow up and it's incredible.

Moody with a reader who have self doubt leading to bad though.

Moody was a tough man. Always on guard, always on the look-out. CONSTANT VIGILANCE. That was caused by everything he went through.

He always looked after you, worried by your safety. And you knew it. But you couldn't help yourself with feeling bad these past months, even when you tried to tells you that you were such an idiot for that. You were full of doubt and anxiety. About yourself, life, other people... And it usually led to you having some bad thoughts.

Alastor knew that you were anxious, but he blamed it on the war. Until one night when you were both alone in Alastor's room at Grimmauld Place. Resting on his side, you were overthinking, again. And your lover could feel it.

"Why are you thinking of my sweet ?"

You sighed and put a hand on his chest. Your Alastor was always really aware of your moods. And you didn't know why but this night, instead of mumbling something about the war, you started to told him about everything you were doubting about and the bad thoughts that followed. And how stupid it made you feel.

You felt Alastor hand on your chin to raise your head. Your eyes meet his.

"I know how it is love. And I can guarantee you that it's not stupid. The only thing that it is, is your audacity to devalue someone I love, and to make my job for me." He caressed your cheek. "I'm the one who should be worrying. I got you, my sweet. I'll always be here to protect you."

"But I'm..."

"Perfect. As you are." He gently kissed your lips. "I wouldn't be here if you were some idiot who can't even curse. I know that you can protect yourself." He scoffed. "You even protect me when I'm too focused on protecting you."

And just like that, with his sweet words who sounded just right, a tears rolled down your cheek.

"I feel so silly... You've been through so much and I... I just feel so bad for so little..."

"And I'll be mad if I hear you saying anything bad about yourself again." He wiped away your tears. "It's gonna be tough. But it's gonna be alright. I'll help you to see yourself like I see you. Like you really are. Just like you did with me."

This night he hold you tight as you cried in his arms, whispering some sweet words to you. Your bad thoughts wouldn't go away in a few minutes. But he was here. He'll always be. And you knew that from now, making you better will be his mission everyday. You were here for each other, and it was the only thing that you both needed to continue and chase happiness.

Had a lot of fun with Palpatine's outfit !! She gets to dress dramaticaly like the rich influencial nabooian (?) woman she is (the gown is heavily inspired by a 1998 Dior dress) ! Of course after the creation of the empire she doesn't do that anymore :( evil old lady in a bathrobe didn't bother to brush her air for 20 years... Good for her ig

I must admit.... Dooku's design is the most indulgent one here, it's targeted to *me* specifically fjfkdk like this outfit (minus the cape...for now) would be something I would wear, the dracula vibes because it's christopher lee and I have no problem what so ever with the hammer draculas, the feminine tall older woman- so yeah maybe I pushed the sith vibes a bit, and gave her the shadow the hedgehog color palette... But this is one of my faves design here sue me

For Boba I redesigned the og trilogy look a little bit, by taking some elements from disney's design and adding a bit of my own flaire to it :) and giving her a *big gun*

And for the first time..... You can trully appreciate how tiny Boba is jdndk big gun for tiny butch

Vader is just Vader- what do you want from me this is one of the best designs ever created djdk I'm not changing anything here (but this *is* one of the best Vader I ever drew jfkdkd don't know what I did different but he looks great !)

And Sabé is here now !! nothing to do with the fact I stumbled upon the Sabédala ship and it has occupied my mind ever since jfkfj Anyway ! Had a lot of fun with the flame dress (I know it doesn't contrast well with Padmé's, but I really wanted to do this one :(( the over handmaiden's outfits weren't as iconic imo)
