First place:
Chapter 167 “Hint”
I like the balance of the whole picture and how it combines scariness and cuteness. You can feel the bond between them, but at the same time something feels off. Moreover, I think I did a good job at giving it a meaningful air.
Second place:
Chapter 193 “Friend”
My second favorite.
I drew this cover just after the last scene of the chapter, the one where Kanda destroys the rampaging Alma, and I remember being overcome with emotion. Alma had become very dear to me by then, so I wanted to give him one of his lovely expressions for last.
However, drawing him smiling was difficult to do. Regarding the letters saying “friend” behind Alma, they are supposed to be made with “blood.” Had this been a color page, I would have probably painted them in a black to red gradation, instead of pure black.
I’m sure this Alma is turning towards Yuu, a smile coming to his lips.
Third place:
Chapter 105 “A Stage in Rouge”
I adore Krory and Eliade’s tragic love.
It’s a pitiful one, but I love it (laugh) and I think this cover was able to express it well. I think it’s a shame that, due to time constraints, the rose garden in the background ended up looking so rough, but there is something in how you can only see Eliade’s shoulder that’s really sad and painful. The situation, with Krokins holding an umbrella, is cute too, to the point I feel like praising past me (laugh).

me, an intellectual who cares deeply about the mental and physical safety of both these boys: tyki and allen’s canon interactions deeply revolve around the respect they have for one another. a lot of what we see of tyki’s character growth is directly linked to allen, and tyki’s attitude towards him growing from contempt to respect. respect steeped in ‘antagonism’, true - they are on opposing sides of a war, and an aspect of tyki’s conflict is that he is deeply loyal to his family, regardless of his own thoughts, feelings or opinions - but respect nonetheless. tyki’s contempt–
turned to intrigue–
turned to competitiveness–
turned to something deeper and more genuine. he’s since expressed concern for allen, and conflict (and confusion) regarding his own actions and his part in the war.
allen, on the other hand, is less beholden to cursory interest. He is suspicious (rightly so) and cautious of tyki - cautious because, though he did beat him once, allen knows he awakened stronger powers in tyki. Powers that he was unable to defeat. Not to mention his pervasive disgust for what he (and the audience, at this point) understands the noah to be.
Allen doesn’t know if, should it come down to it, he could beat tyki. Respect, again, if somewhat less fond or personal than what tyki has for him.
but tyki has yet to let it come down to that. once since the battle of the ark - once - has he struck allen. Under orders to bring him back to the ark with the noah. beyond supervision of the earl (of everyone but road, for that matter, who we know also has a fondness for allen, and who also knows tyki has a fondness for him)
tyki’s only inclination to violence towards allen was under the influence of joyd and the panic of being pursued by apocryphos. again, this only happened once. Allen isn’t on the same page as tyki at this point - still deeply considers him an enemy and believes tyki only feels the same towards him.
He has no idea that tyki’s been burning with conflict and questions since the ark. The complete 180 of tyki’s attitude leaves him confused, and probably just as suspicious.
And yet, tyki not only lets him go without a scratch (after saving his life about twice), but leaves him with something to actually think about. gives allen words that he might use to better himself, and improve his chances of surviving.
he’s harsh, but not out of spite. not really. anger, maybe, or frustration. that allen can continue to walk this line of willful ignorance and claim to know better. their situational context doesn’t exactly call for a moment of gentle letdown, either.
He’s not helping neah in this moment, and he’s not telling allen to destroy the innocence. tyki speaks to allen, for allen. because he gets it. he gets it. however long it’s been since tyki awoke as a noah, he’s been keeping his pride and humanity above joyd. more than anyone, he gets it.
He likes allen - the person he is, the human - and he doesn’t want him to be lost. To neah, to the innocence, to apocryphos, or to the war.

the truth untold is the feelings you can’t explain… when you love someone, it can hurt. it can hurt a lot. that one person can make you happy, angry, sad… they can make you feel complete but also like they’ve taken a piece of you that you can’t get back. love makes you feel as if that person was destined to come into your life, but you also feel naked and afraid. because they have that power over you. but you can’t help but love them… you love them even when it hurts, maybe it hurts because you love them so much and you don’t know what to do with such a strong emotion. it hurts because even though you should love yourself first, you can’t help but give them your everything. and even when they break your heart, little by little, you still want them.
why isn’t anyone allowed to be wrong anymore? it’s okay to be wrong. no one should be terrified of every tiny little mistake they might make. being wrong, and realizing you were wrong, is how you learn and grow and change.

The naruto ending was fucking trash and if you legitimately like it then I feel sorry for you for not understanding the actual story, meaning/ lesson naruto taught us. Before you get all butt hurt, this isn’t just about the dumbass ships y'all think is what others are salty about. This is about the horrendous ending that makes no sense at all. I hate boruto because they’re pushing a sad sob story on an useless rebellious kid that has it all. Aw your daddy can’t play cause he’s the Fucking hokage? :(((( try living your whole childhood alone and hated by everyone kid. I haven’t watched boruto and I probably never will. This is just a really bad naruto filler episode. It’s really sad that it came to this mess.

1. Why was the movie based on the chunnin exams yet the anime they’re back in the academy? 2. Hinata is still irrelevant like always as well as the daughter 3. So you’re gonna tell me society goes from caveman technology to 2017 New York City technology in like 12 years??? 10. If you think minato and kushina parallels with hinata and naruto you’re all kinds of retarded. Why did kishimoto do that stupid thing like make Sarada look like Karin and make a fucking novela drama out of it to find out who her real mom was?
