(SOURCE)
Clairvoyance (clear-seeing)
Having “visions”, seeing images (still or moving) on the inner screen of the mind (eyes can be open or closed). Also includes seeing auras, apparitions, angels, etc. In other words, seeing beyond the physical. The area of the body that receives the psychic impressions for this sense is located in the center of the forehead (the Third Eye).
Claircognizance (clear-knowing)
Having knowledge of certain situations/people/places without having any information to facilitate such knowing. This can be things of the past, present or future (premonitions). A common statement from people who are strong in this ability is, “I don’t know how I know, I just know.” The location for this sense is on the top of the head (the Crown chakra).
Clairaudience (clear-hearing)
Hearing voices, music and other sounds that do not have a physical source. This can include hearing voices of those on the “other side” (deceased people), our guardian angels or spirit guides, our higher selves, or God/dess. This can also include hearing voices/music/sounds that are actually echoes of the past - this happens alot in haunted buildings). The locations for this sense are on each side of the head, just above the ears.
Clairsentience (clear-feeling or clear-sensing)
“Feeling” things about people or situations that we otherwise could not know. People who are strong in this ability often talk about having “gut feelings” about things, and are usually very sensitive to energies and emotions of other people. Negative energies can often cause a wrenching or queasy feeling in the abdominal area. This sense can also warn of problematic upcomings or situations (having a “bad” feeling about something). This sense is located in the solar plexus.
Clairalience (clear-smelling)
Smelling things that have no physical source. Very common in haunted areas, but can also be an indication that a deceased loved one is with us (i.e. smelling your mother’s favorite flower suddenly while in a closed room during winter). It can be their way of contacting us, letting us know they’re around.
Clairhambience (clear-tasting)
Tasting things without having eaten them. Most often relates to spirit communication, as with Clairalience.

Ok, I will admit that this is not really a spell. But what witch doesn’t love doing a little herbal remedy when they can. These herbs will create a very relaxing tea that can help put you to sleep naturally. You can also use this tea along with any other spells for a little added boost.

-Stir clockwise (no one would notice that) -Drink herbal teas (it’s totally normal) -Clean with special solutions (scented cleaner wouldn’t make anyone suspicious) -Draw sigils that disappear quickly (out of sight, out if mind) -Keep plants around (plants are nice decoration for houses) -Cook with herbs (nobody would question it, and they’ll love your food) -Wear crystal pendants (if it matches your outfit, it’ll pass as mundane) -Buy magickal yet normal things (wind chimes and dreamcatchers aren’t weird) -Drink special smoothies in the morning (once it’s a daily routine, people won’t care) -Take walks in nature (it’s normal and calming) -Draw sigils under clothing (no one would know unless they have x-ray vision) -Keep a stash of candles “for emergencies” (better safe than sorry) -Go out with friends once a week (when I say friends, I really mean your coven, and if you aren’t in a coven, pretend you’re with friends and do witchy stuff on your own) -Add a subtle magickal twist to family holidays (specific color themes, taking the opportunity to use all the extra energy floating around, decorate with enchanted objects, etc)

♦ Draw sigils and wards on white walls with chalk and they will be virtually undetectable. Draw them in the door frame (or other non-white surfaces) and then trace them over with blessed water or oil to dissolve them and “set” them to work.
♦ Use a makeup pencil to drawn symbols of power on your body, under the clothes. The pencils come in colors, to focus on specific uses (red lust, blue clairvoyance, green success, etc) and scrub off in the shower. Alternatively, you can draw a banishing/releasing negativity symbol just before a shower and very pointedly scrub/banish the negative aspect down the drain during showering/bathing. ♦ Draw a sigil or rune, or write out the intent, on paper. Burn the paper to ash. Collect the ash and use it to A.) Mix with cleaning water and scrub surfaces such as doorways (if cleansing) or the altar area (if empowering). B.) Place some in a tea to inject the effect. C.) Rub inside pillowcases or under sheets for dream effects. D.) Mix into lotion. E.) Anoint power objects F.) During ritual, ash of this kind can be used to draw symbols onto the brow or hands, to increase the power of the work.

It seems that when people have actual problems you suddenly forget all about 'magic' and just tell them to seek real practical solutions
Because this isn’t Harry Potter and it’d be stupid not to.
Magic doesn’t solve all your problems. A job spell doesn’t mean anything if you never send out resumes. All the wards in the world don’t replace a lock on the front door. A friendship spell is going to have a hard time manifesting if you never leave the house. A protection amulet isn’t a brick wall that’s going to stop someone coming at you with a knife. All the prayer circles in the world don’t do anything for communities ravaged by natural disaster. We live in a world that is both physical and metaphysical, so why would a solution be only one or the other?
People interpret magic differently. I see it as often tilting probabilities: a job spell would nudge an employer’s attention to your resume, a ward will make intruders feel that maybe they don’t need to rob you after all. You don’t chant for a while and then sit back and expect the universe to do everything else for you, and in cases where someone is being abused or has health conditions – which is usually when we bring out the mundane advice over the magical on this blog – hell yes you do everything you possibly can.
Sure, there are exceptions: a friend might recommend you for a job without you ever stepping foot outside the door, for example. But there’s a reason every experienced magical practitioner I know or whose texts I’ve read emphasize that a) magic alone doesn’t solve everything, and b) you’ve got to do the physical work, too. As a professional spirit worker once explained to me, her wight protected her on magical and spiritual planes, not physical, because that part was her job.
A witch – in my opinion – should be, above all other things, practical, and the work doesn’t end when the candle burns out.

The way magick works for me is in shifting probabilities. You can increase or decrease the probability of something happen but working with small probabilities it’s extremely hard for it to matter. It’s like adding a teaspoon of water to a lake and complaining that you don’t notice a difference. Mundane things help shift the probabilities even more in my favour. Without the mundane helping it along a lot of times your magick won’t add up to shit.

Summer is around the corner! Here are some great things to do to get you into summer magic! Summer is the time of abundance and prosperity!
Make Fragrance Oils, Extracts or Waters You can use summer flowers and herbs like honeysuckle, mint, basil, oregano, and lavender to infuse in oils, make flavor extracts with 100 proof alcohol or some like rose and honeysuckle you can simmer and make into a water that makes great flavoring to foods or a toner. Also basil soothes mosquito bites. I rub the crushed leaves over the bites and they don’t itch horribly. I looked it up to see if it was just my weird family methods or if this was a thing but it is kind of a thing. Mint too. Aloe also helps!
Nature Trips!! Go to the beach! To the woods! To the mountains! To the lake! Collect stuff there for your craft! Make cool things into runes like seashells, fallen sticks and branches, mountain rocks or lake stones. I like Bree’s simple runes cause its simple and you can be very creative with it. Make those cool things I just said into talismans, necklaces, here’s a simple guide on how to wire wrap. Go camping in those places, bring some witchy friends! Make a bonfire (if it’s legal). Leave offerings to the fae or mermaids where ever you go, leave offerings to nature.
Use Aloe and Mint in your Bath Witchery and Beauty magic Aloe is soothing for sunburns and moisturizes the skin while it’s not a heavy substance so you feel light. It is also very cooling. Mint cools as well but remember to dilute mint essential oil or else it will leave an icy burning feeling!! Be careful not to put it in any open crevices. Add herbs like citronella, sweet grass, catnip etc in your body oils to ward insects and Mosquitos! (The three herbs also smell super summery like camping trips and freshly mowed lawn lol.)
Witchy Friends!!! And attraction spells A lot of witchy meet ups happen in the summer!!! July 9th is the 5th Annual Witch Festival in Astor Place Manhattan. Go to meetup.com or find ways to meet other witchy friends! I made tons of witchy friends this time of year last year! Also network! People are out and about and looking for people during the summer. Its easy to connect with people that can help you in your career! Its a great time to meet people in general so attraction spells are fantastic now.
PROSPERITY!!!! Summer is a time of Prosperity! BOOST THE PROSPERITY SPELLS AND MONEY SPELLS you see that green all over the newly sprouted trees?? USE THAT SUMMER GREENERY AS MOTIVATION TO GET SOME GREENERY IN YO POCKETS But seriously, this is the time of year that brings wealth for some reason. It has always been for me personally until I realized in some pagan lore this is the time of year of working hard, advancing career and gathering wealth. Maybe its because the sun is exerting the most of it’s energy on the land and it is bringing forth a lot of potential. Use that potential and energy, and people being about to bring about wealth in your life. This Summer Solstice (June 20th, next Monday) is also on a FULL MOON so that day will be a powerful day for prosperity magic!
Tend to your garden If you are lucky to have a lovely garden make sure to tend to it as summer can dry it out easily. If you tend to it well and lovingly it will return the love during lammastide which is the time of reaping what you sow and benefiting from your hard work.
Grow Aloe Plants if you can Having indoor plants is great as well but growing and tending to an aloe plant can be very beneficial this time of year to help the skin. It’s also fantastic to drink as it is very hydrating and great for the hair.
Make a bee fountain and sanctuary! Bees are wonderful and are working pretty hard this time of year. Here’s how to make a little bee fountain! Here’s how to make a little bee house! (Warning for people with tropophobia. It can look quite holey..) Both are easy! Here’s a butterfly fountain too if you are interested..
Make these honeypots for unwanted insects and Mosquitos These jars use yeast to create CO2 which attracts them but they get stuck inside. Working with yeast can be tricky. Hopefully this guide is helpful and straightforward
Make Summer Candles with Citronella and Sweet grass Mosquitos hate that. It also smells wonderfully summery. Add fragrances like cedar oil and sandalwood to give it a summer woods and bonfire fragrance.
Enchant a glass bottle to use as your water bottle. It’s important to use glass or stainless steel cause on incredibly hot days plastic leaks into the water. If you a bougie witch here’s a water bottle with a crystal inside. If you’re a crafty witch you could see that it’s just a glass bottle with a glass capsule inside full of crystals and you could just get a big mason jar, or recycle a voss glass water bottle, buy one of those small glass jar capsules, fill it with crystals, find a sanitary way to attach it to the lid of the jar and bam. Your own, not $100 costing crystal water bottle.
Gathering energy by sunbathing If you love sunbathing, take a moment to absorb the sun’s rays and convert it into energy! If you love working with sigils then cut out some sigils with a piece of thick paper and stick it to your body and let the sun charge it with it’s energy. As you tan the sigil will be tattooed into your skin!
Feel free to add to this! I hope you all have fun with getting your summer magic on!
1. Crystals: wearing and keeping crystals around is a good way to express your personality and interest in nature without showing that you’re explicitly practicing the craft
2. Herbs: Whether in soaps, candles, or food and drinks, herbs are a good way to share your magical ways through gifts and spending time together without them knowing about your craft.
3. Gardening and enjoying the outdoors: Most people don’t know that being a witch implies having a love for nature. Maybe suggest gardening as a chore you’d like to have weekly. This is very easy way to spend time with family at the beach on vacation, experiencing a National Park, or in the backyard without them knowing that this is actually a part of your craft.
An unsupportive household can cause a lot of anger, sadness, and resentment. Don’t forget to keep a journal (Book of Shadows) about your experiences, as an escape, and a way to vent.
You will need: Rose petals (fill your bottle a third of the way) Water Sugar or salt (1/8 tsp) A spray bottle (I used an old perfume bottle)
Shove your rose petals in the bottle, filling it a third of the way. Fill rest of the way with water, shake, and let that sit for a few hours.
Advantages? Rose water is proven to reduce inflammation, acne, rosacea, tone the face, and tighten pores.
You may choose to charge the water with an attraction spell before use, but you could also use this as a face mist like I do, or a perfume. It works either way.
