CRIATURES SALVATGES || WILD CREATURES

ES|| Los tiburones están gravemente amenazados (incluso hay muchas especies en peligro de extinción) esto es debido sobretodo a su pesca indiscriminada para vender sus aletas. Y, aunque parezca mentira Europa contribuye enormemente y es una zona caliente de comercio de aleta de tiburón. Desde 2003 el finning está prohibido en Europa, y desde 2013 se permite pescar algunas especies de tiburones pero sin descartar el cuerpo. Sin embargo, la legislación europea sigue permitiendo el comercio de aletas a granel de especies no protegidas. Cuando se transportan solo las aletas la identificación de la especie es muy difícil, especialmente porque los envíos suelen mezclar diferentes tipos de ellas, lo que da lugar a que se comercie fácilmente con aletas de especies protegidas y de ejemplares capturados de forma ilegal. Los tiburones están en la cúspide de la cadena trófica y juegan un papel fundamental en el equilibrio marino, regulando y equilibrando la vida que hay en ellos y ayudando a preservar sus ecosistemas. Evitar la catástrofe medioambiental que supondría la desaparición de los tiburones pasa por poner freno a este lucrativo negocio. Para ello es necesario que Europa deje de exportar aletas de tiburón y no facilite el comercio a través de su territorio. Solo quedan 4 días para que finalice el termino para firmar la iniciativa ciudadana europea para proponer un cambio legislativo que prohíba el comercio de la aleta de tiburón. 🦈 Corred, animaros a firmar! EN|| Sharks are seriously threatened (there are even many species in danger of extinction) this is mainly due to their indiscriminate fishing to sell their fins. And, oddly enough, Europe contributes enormously and is a hot spot for the shark fin trade. ES|| ¿Cuál os gusta más, con línea negra o con las líneas de colores? Segundo helado de la serie de heladitos sonrientes. Da la casualidad que también es mi segundo favorito. Me gusta el contraste de formas y sabores de las tres bolas. ¿Qué sabores creéis que son? Yo me he imaginado una bola de chocolate blanco con “lacasitos”, una de fresa con virutas rosas y la última, por imaginar sabores, pistacho con trocitos de chocolate negro (aunque por la paleta de colores que he estado usando parece más una bola de menta con chocolate). En esta ocasión, además de las dos versiones, también os enseño el esbozo con la paleta de colores CMYK (ha sido la misma para toda la serie de ilustraciones). Aunque veréis que hay colores que al final he acabado descartando y de alguno he utilizado algún tono más oscuro para las sombras.🍦🍫🍓

EN|| Black line or colored lines? What do you think, which one do you like more? Second ice cream in the series of happy ice creams. It just so happens to be that it's also my second favorite. I like the contrast of shapes and flavors. What flavors do you think they are? I have imagined a scoop of white chocolate with "lacasitos", one of strawberry with pink sprinkles and the last, to imagine flavors, pistachio with pieces of dark chocolate (although due to the color palette I’ve been using it looks more like a ball of Mint with chunks of chocolate). On this occasion, in addition to the two versions, you also can see the sketch with the CMYK color palette (it has been the same for the entire series of illustrations). Although you’ll see that there are colors that I ended up discarding and some of them I used a darker tone to make some shadows.🍦🍫🍓

ES| Aunque podemos encontrar limones todo el año, una de las épocas de recolección de la fruta es el invierno. El limón aparte de estar buenísimo, combinar genial en las infusiones y contener vitamina C y otros minerales, es un fruto con muchísimas propiedades beneficiosas no solamente consumiéndolo fresco, sino que también es muy apreciado por el aceite esencial que se extrae de su piel.

Exprimido se usa contra la artritis, es depurativo, diurético, antirreumático, antivírico, antibiótico, anticatarral, antigripal y antidiarreico, ya que es astringente y remineralizarne. Además, es antiséptico bucofaríngeo y ayuda a combatir la amigdalitis y la faringitis. El limón también contiene terpenos, que tienen propiedades antitumorales, ayuda con los mareos, las taquicardias y las enfermedades cardiovasculares.

A nivel cutáneo es un gran tónico y también se utiliza contra la celulitis. Funciona de maravilla como limpiador, por lo que es de gran ayuda contra la grasa facial y el acné. Es antiséptico, cicatrizante y coagulante, a parte de un fortalecedor capilar natural.

Su aceite esencial vaporizado tiene propiedades contra la fatiga, la tensión nerviosa, la depresión y la falta de concentración por lo que es un gran aliado en momentos de estudio o trabajo.

Aunque ya sabéis que siempre se tiene que ir con cuidado, ya que no a todo el mundo le van bien los mismos remedios ya que a veces suelen tener contraindicaciones, como por ejemplo la acidez del zumo de limón puede estropear el esmalte de los dientes, o el aceite esencial si se expone al sol puede dejar manchas! 🍋🌱

EN| Although we can find lemons all year round, one of the fruit’s harvesting seasons is winter. Lemons, besides from being delicious, being great to combine to make delicious infusions and being a great source of vitamin C and other minerals, is a fruit with many beneficial properties not only consuming it fresh, but it’s also highly appreciated for the essential oil extracted from its skin. Its juice is used against arthritis, it is a diuretic, detox, antirheumatic, antiviral, antibiotic, anti-cold, anti-flu and anti-diarrheal (since it’s astringent and remineralizing). In addition, it’s an oropharyngeal antiseptic and helps combat tonsillitis and pharyngitis. Lemons also contains terpenes, which have anti-tumoral properties, helps with dizziness, tachycardia and cardiovascular diseases. It’s a great cutaneous tonic and is also used against cellulite. It works wonderfully as a cleanser, making it a great help against facial grease and acne. It’s antiseptic, healing and coagulant, as well as a natural hair strengthener. Its vaporized essential oil has properties against fatigue, nervous tension, depression and lack of concentration, making it a great ally during study or work sessions. Although you already know you always have to be careful, since not everyone is good with the same remedies and sometimes, they have contraindications, such as how the acidity of the lemon juice can damage the enamel of your teeth, or the essential oil if exposed to the sun can leave skin stains! 🍋🌱

A que es adorable con su barriguita, sus dedos redonditos y sus ojos saltones con pestañas de colores (si, ya sé que las ranas no tienen pestañas, que es una licencia artística, pero os imagináis si las tuvieran, les quedarían súper divertidas!).🐸

Es ideal para hacer el la hora del baño más divertida o para ir a la piscina o a la playa en verano!

SAVE THE BEES (2019)

Bees and other insects are among the main responsible for the pollination, a vital function for biodiversity and for our food (75% of the food we consume depends on pollination) and yet they are disappearing. 40% of invertebrate pollinators, in particular bees and butterflies, face extinction. An example is a North American native bumblebee, the Bombus affinis, which since the late 1990s has reduced its population by 87%. This dangerous and sad decline is due to several causes such as the loss and deterioration of their habitats, parasites and diseases, invasive plant and animal species, the impacts of climate change and the practices of industrialized agriculture, among which the use of pesticides stands out. Let's change our consumption habits! Together we must protect the world and save the bees!🐝

Las abejas entre otros insectos son unas de las principales encargadas de la polinización de las flores, una función vital para la biodiversidad terrestre y para nuestra alimentación, ya que un 75% de los alimentos que consumimos dependen de ello, y sin embargo están desapareciendo. Un 40% de los polinizadores invertebrados, en particular abejas y mariposas, se enfrentan a la extinción. Un ejemplo es el abejorro, nativo de Norteamerica, Bombus affinis que desde finales de los años 90 hasta ahora, ha reducido su población un 87%. Este peligroso y triste declive se debe a varias causas como la pérdida y deterioro de sus hábitats, las prácticas de la agricultura industrializada, como los monocultivos y el uso de plaguicidas, los parásitos y enfermedades, las especies vegetales y animales invasoras y los impactos del cambio climático. Cambiemos nuestros hábitos de consumo! Entre todos debemos proteger el mundo y salvar a las abejas! 🐝🌻
