ES|| Los tiburones están gravemente amenazados (incluso hay muchas especies en peligro de extinción) esto es debido sobretodo a su pesca indiscriminada para vender sus aletas. Y, aunque parezca mentira Europa contribuye enormemente y es una zona caliente de comercio de aleta de tiburón. Desde 2003 el finning está prohibido en Europa, y desde 2013 se permite pescar algunas especies de tiburones pero sin descartar el cuerpo. Sin embargo, la legislación europea sigue permitiendo el comercio de aletas a granel de especies no protegidas. Cuando se transportan solo las aletas la identificación de la especie es muy difícil, especialmente porque los envíos suelen mezclar diferentes tipos de ellas, lo que da lugar a que se comercie fácilmente con aletas de especies protegidas y de ejemplares capturados de forma ilegal. Los tiburones están en la cúspide de la cadena trófica y juegan un papel fundamental en el equilibrio marino, regulando y equilibrando la vida que hay en ellos y ayudando a preservar sus ecosistemas. Evitar la catástrofe medioambiental que supondría la desaparición de los tiburones pasa por poner freno a este lucrativo negocio. Para ello es necesario que Europa deje de exportar aletas de tiburón y no facilite el comercio a través de su territorio. Solo quedan 4 días para que finalice el termino para firmar la iniciativa ciudadana europea para proponer un cambio legislativo que prohíba el comercio de la aleta de tiburón. 🦈 Corred, animaros a firmar! EN|| Sharks are seriously threatened (there are even many species in danger of extinction) this is mainly due to their indiscriminate fishing to sell their fins. Com trobo a faltar la primavera... temps de flors i violes!!

ES || Uno de los proyectos que se queda este año en el tintero son los animales de plástico. No sé si os acordareis pero hace un par de años hice una ilustración de una ballena llena de plásticos de un solo uso, de toda esa cantidad inimaginable de residuos innecesarios que generamos (sobretodo en estas fechas, con los regalos “inútiles”, los platos de usar y tirar, etc.) para la campaña de @byebyestraws . La idea era hacer una serie de animales marinos que sufren por culpa de estos residuos, pero llegaron nuevos proyectos y se fue quedando en el aire, este año lo retomé pero no he tenido tiempo de acabarlos así que tengo un montón de hojas con dibujos a acuarela de objetos de plástico de todo tipo… Yo al principio cuando pensaba en residuos plásticos pensaba en botellas y algunos envases más pero cuanto más me adentraba en el tema más alucinaba estaba de la cantidad de plástico que usamos en nuestro día a día, mucho del cual es evitable. Por unas navidades y una entrada de año mejores, generad menos residuos y reciclad todo lo que podáis!

EN || One of the projects that remains unfinished this year are the plastic animals. I don't know if you remember but a couple of years ago I made an illustration for @byebyestraws of a whale full of single-use plastics, of all the unimaginable amount of unnecessary waste that we generate (especially at this time of year, with the "useless" gifts, the single-use dishes, etc.). The idea was to make a series of marine animals that suffer from these residues, but I haven't had time to finish them so at the moment I’ve a lot of watercolor drawings of plastic objects of all kinds... At first, when I thought of plastic waste, I always thought of bottles and some other packaging, but the further I got into the subject, the more I was amazed at the amount of plastic we use in our day-to-day lives, much of which is avoidable. For a better Christmas and a better start to the year, generate less waste , reuse and recycle everything you can!

ESP || Como tenemos que quedarnos en casa unos cuantos días, al menos intentemos hacerlo lo más divertida y relajadamente posible! Ya hace casi un año hice una ilustración enorme de un bosque fantástico inspirado por mi amor a la lectura y las infusiones. Con todo esto de la cuarentena os la vuelvo a compartir! ENG || Since we’ve to stay home for a few days, at least let's try to make it as fun and relaxed as possible! Almost a year ago I did a huge illustration of a fantastic forest inspired by my love of reading and herbal teas. With all this coronavirus quarantine I decided to share it with you again! ES || Aquí tenéis un detalle de las oropéndolas rodeadas de flores i plantas. Aunque parezcan dos especies diferentes de pájaro se trata de una pareja: el macho es de un amarillo vibrante con antifaz, las alas y un trozo de la cola negras, en cambio la hembra cambia el amarillo por un tono mas apagado y verdoso y el negro por un gris amarronado, además tiene una encantadora barriguita de tonos blancos con pintitas oscuras. Curiosamente cuando dibujé estos pajaritos no los había visto nunca, pero no hace mucho pude observar estas preciosas manchas amarillas y negras en el cielo. 🌻🌿

EN || Here’s a detail of the orioles surrounded by flowers and plants. Although they look like two different species of birds, they’re a couple: the male is vibrant yellow with a black piece of the tail, mask and wings, while the female changes the yellow for a more dull and greenish tone and the black for a brownish gray, it also has a beautiful white tummy with cute dark spots. Curiously, when I drew these little birds I had never seen them, but not so long ago I got the chance to see these beautiful yellow and black spots in the sky.🌻🌿
