How to: write pain
Don't make paragraphs about it - battles are supposed to be fast-paced
Describe:
- the object used to harm the character
-where the injury is
-how long the character had had the injury
-how deep the cut is (for blades)
-whether or not the wound triggers other things (dizziness, bleeding)
There are different kinds of pain
punch/blunt force trauma:
-how it feels: aching, a single spike of pain before it fades into an ache, throbbing, numbness
-effects: swelling, bruising, broken bones, unconsciousness, dizziness, concussion, internal bleeding.
stab wound/cut
-how it feels: stinging (shallow wounds), burning
-effects: bleeding (the blood from arteries is a brighter red, like vermilion, the blood from veins is dark crimson), dizziness from the blood loss, unconsciousness, infection (if left unattended), death
gunshot
-how it feels: depends on the caliber bullet, from how far away they were shot and in what place
-effects: same as stab wounds
Things that an injured character may have/do
-heavy, harsh, ragged breathing
-panting, gasping, crying, grunting, hissing, groaning, whimpering, screaming, shrieking, clenching their teeth
-ears ringing, unable to speak
-pressing their hands on the injury to try and stop the bleeding, trembling, eyes rolling up into their head
-vision blurring, room spinning
Where to hit in a fight
temple and jaw - good for a knockout punch, but are near the skull so it will be dangerous if you miss (it can broke/dislocate your fingers)
nose/eyes - messes up the senses and distracts the opponent
neck: can mess up breathing, talking and the spinal cord
inner elbow: can disable the opponent's arm
solar plexus: hard to hit but very effective
liver: causes immediate pain, dizziness and loss of breath
kidneys
groin
outer/inner thighs
knees

But not getting into a fight stops the injury for both the opponents :)

God DAMN Op I am in love with your takes of the Fun Gang. Susie reminds me of a particular old 90s TV show (Ed,Edd,Eddy/Ren&Stimply/Cown&Chicken), and it fits her very well. I love the little tatters you gave her clothing, making her lack of fitting in to any of the other kids more apparent with rugged and dirty clothes she either can't pay for or doesn't feel worth it to do. Ralsei is just so cute~~!!! It makes me think his hat is somehow casting a deep shadow over his head hence his in-game sprite being black when wearing it (aka your design feels like this but better). His royal garbing atop his robe and his scarf by his side really adds to his prince role, yet you feel an air of closed doors with not being able to see his body at all besides his head and feet, which works with him being a lone prince.
Kris looks so scruffy and his monotone expression within the game just gave off neutral vibes, but her it looks more "resting bitch face" which considering what Kris has gone through feels right. Sagged shoulders, slight bodily lean? Lack of self-confidence right there. All is to say great job Op do continue to draw peak!

Remember that every day is an opportunity to be a better fanfiction writer than you were yesterday. That being said...
...improvement isn't only in the big things like writing a 10k story in one sitting or responding positively to negative comments on your work. Progress is in the seemingly small but actually big things too;
You finally learned how to correctly spell that word you frequently use.
2. You found a differently word you can use in place of the verb you've abused
3. You wrote a whole ass paragraph for your draft without feeling insecure about it because you're finally understanding that drafts are meant to be messy.
4. It's taking you months to complete the next chapter of your story. At first you felt bad about it every second of your day but now you actually haven't felt bad for a whole hour. Slowly you're understanding that art takes time and you deserve to be patient and kind with yourself.
5. You took the step to read/listen to a random post about how to write better. Maybe you haven't put that advice into practice yet but hey, you clicked on it and listened/read till the end
6. You managed to read one of your own posted stories, I'll feelings about it or no
7. You now celebrate every vote/kudos/like you get on your story because you know that a real human being is behind it, loving your work, shoddy as you think it might be.
8. Today you woke up caring a little less about how your stories aren't that popular in the fandom. Finally you're learning to write for you and to just dwell on enjoying the writing process instead of focusing on how the world will receive your story when you post
9. You read comments on your story which suggest you take your story in a certain different direction, but you successfully ignore those suggestions and courageously stick to the story you want to tell.

Bookbinding Fanfiction
So apparently Barns and Nobles just…let you print out your own books for little cost? I had always wondered of those who make their fanfiction into physical things to read rather than through a screen, but I didn't think it would be this easy.
The idea of printing my own fic into a physical book just sounds nice for some reason.
Actually, printing anyone's fic into a physical book to re-read just sounds awesome. As long as you aren't planning to sell it, it's a nice way of solidifying it, making it easy to re-read, and being easier on the eyes!
That said, asking the author would be a nice gesture at the minimum, since sure they can't do much to stop you (especially if it's with copyrighted material), but I suppose it would be a dick move.
Like, seriously go look for yourself it's like less then $10 for 200 pages or less it's amazing.

WARNING: INCOMING ART GUSH
(And dissection of U.A’s esteemed principal, Nedzu)
Alright so time to outwardly gush about this art piece.
So, note, Nedzu's my favorite character in recent. Despite their not being a lot to him, what there is really fascinates me, mostly from how despite the knowledge we have him being limited, it's enough to build character potential over it. The most striking thing we know (and supposedly, no one else knowing) is him being experimented on to some degree, enough for him to have a deep resentment for humanity because of those experiments.
Now because he's so open as a character, it results in a lot of interpretations for how he acts. Some people write him to be a bit of an asshole at points due to this deep seeded hate, whilst others just effectivelly make him goddamn insane (but in a good way). The same can obviously be said for his backstory too, though not a lot of people tackle this aspect regarding this character, and frankly, why would they?
Not because it wouldn't be a interesting thing to look into, but because it's effectively just becomes complete and utter headcannon once doing so (Also, probably from it not really having a great moment within canon to appear unless its a Nedzu-focused fic). ANYWAY to get back onto my railroad tracks-
This piece is amazing. The lighting of a deep fog in the back not only puts the focus on Nedzu and the rodents, but enseams a sense of unclarity both for the viewer and potentially, Nedzu. Ya see, I've always been fascinated by his first ever line in the series being him making a joke at his own expense; Primary on his appearence being unclear as to what kind of animal he actually is.
Now call me a deep diver, but I feel like this line is a lot more personal on Nedzu's end then he leads on. Personally (Headcannon moment), I do belive Nedzu does know what species he is now, but for a long time did, in fact, not.
Nedzu, for a while, didn't even care for what species he was, because his primary goal was to be human. Not literally of course, but on the level of respect. Nedzu's quirk doesn't just give him intelligence, but specifically sapience. And a level that I imagine can go far beyond a human at times.
And this piece also really plays into that. In a room full of animals who just live to survive, Nedzu can live for far more that. Mice, rats, and all of those rodents in between all live to simply eat, sleep, reproduce, and repeat. Nedzu, though, doesn't have to limit himself there. Nedzu, for all he's capable of, can see himself above his species, and maybe even equal to those with his level of intelligence. The problem was...
...people didn't see him that way. Especially not those who experimented on him for god knows what. He was just seen as a smarter mammal, not an equal. So instead of wanting to be seen as an animal, he pushed himself to be human. His first line completely throws away the idea that he focuses on who he truly is, and instead his postion. He moved himself up on the social ladder to effectivelly enforce a sense of humanity into himself because otherwise, he was nothing more than just a rat. Or a bear. Or a dog.
Do I think Nedzu enjoys having to do this? Maybe not. He isn't happy in the piece per se, but I don't think he necessarily regrets it. On some level though, I imagine he does wish he didn't have the Quirk he did. Just a day to be true to himself, rather than to be true to humanity. But, for whatever reason, he did. So he isn't just gonna drop dead. He will use what he's been given and make the most of it. Even if it means losing that piece.
