Things about my dynamic with my friend that I just find very funny:

I'm 4'9 and sunshine, lollipops and rainbows. He's six foot, always dressed all black and his neighbours are scared of him.

Despite this, he's the one who censors swear words when texting, while I use fuck vigorously and with great elan.

He's the hug initiator, which is good because I like hugs but I'm terrible at initiating them. I'm the conversation initiator though.

Him telling me to go the fuck to sleep is basically a ritual by now.

On the last day of the festival where we met I noticed that my phone stopped working, he checked it for me, realized the battery had swollen and basically went "okay we will proceed by staying very calm and CHUCKING THAT THING AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE JESUS"

One time I was trying to balance a whole bunch of stuff at once and he was like "you know I can just carry some of that" so I gave him the kitchen knife and he was like"yep I was hoping for that, I think it's better for everyone's safety if I take that "

He calls me sunshine. It's unimaginably sweet.

We both had night watch duties in a camp and were awake for like 24 hours and the next morning he was basically a zombie and I was so high energy I just jumped straight to showering, doing my make-up and going for a jog.

On the second occasion we met he first commented that I'm a lot shorter than he remembered me and then spontaneously made up a poem consisting of two lines which roughly translates to "you're short, but still a sunshine"

Serious post time. Please reblog, this is important.

Hi all, I've just been made aware about "operation pr1defall".

From what I know, 4.c.h.a.n is planning to infiltrate LGBT spaces during June, try and get sensitive information, spread lies about us, and harass minors. Some have said they are planning to share all sensitive photos of minors that they can, even attempt irl attacks. Its also been said they are planning on sending out gruesome photos of LGBT people being r*ped.

Please, especially young people, take extra care of yourself and the information you spread. You do not need to panic, you just need to stay safe. Don't give out harmful information (your phone number, address, etc). Don't share sensitive photos (we all know what i mean, n*des and the like. I know you think it's fun, but it's not worth it.)

If you find someone doing these things (on any site, not just tumblr), do not engage. Report them, maybe keep note of their username for the future, and move on. You do not need to panic.

Please, reblog and share. Our people need to stay safe. Add any information you know about this in reblogs or replies. Even if you think you will be safe, plenty won't.

“SHIPLASH - a definition”

Shiplash - pronounced much like whiplash, but with a ship instead of whip.

The emotional jerking back and forth a Shipping Fandom goes though.

The Fandom will Swing from these two emotions:

They are together - everything is roses and love. Nothing will ever come between them. They are in love. It is a fairy tale

They are not together - the world is ending, there will never be good days again. My entire mood is dependent on these two people being together.

Most fandoms experience some form of SHIPLASH, but the VirtueMoir Fandom is a prime example. Going from they are in love to they they will never be together in the span of 30 min or less.

If you are suffering from a case of SHIPLASH some recommended treatments:

1. Remember that your OTP are just people living their life the best way they know how. The public persona of your OTP can be completely different than what they have at home. Your OTP will misinform and misdirect in order to maintain privacy. This is their right, because they do not owe you the truth or any details about their private lives. No matter how much you want them to.

2. Get off the internet if you get too upset in a negative phase of the SHIPLASHING. Don’t read every post. Don’t read every tweet. Some people thrive on drama. Tune them out.

3. Go on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime or just TV to take your mind off of the things that distress you. Binge watch some series that will engross you. Or even better read a good book.

4. Focus on your own life if you need to.

5. Come back a few days later, the SHIPLASH will have swung the other way again. And you can enjoy the light-hearted fun of shipping you initially came here for.

Shipping should be fun and entertaining - if you don’t enjoy it. Step away.

If you have the impulse to ruin someone else’s shipping experience - Step away. It does not really matter what someone else believes or thinks. Only what you believe or think. Share it on your blog.
