there were so many good impressions this episode, but i truly think ross captured the essence of macklemore here
DO YE WORK UP AN APPETITE
The fact that there is NOT ONE, BUT TWO scientists who are EXPERTS in fungi and epidemiology THROUGHOUT the show SAYING there is no possible cure, that it is not even possible to make it, no possible vaccines. This woman literally says bomb the whole country.
And STILL people choose to believe a mf doctor who I quote “thinks it could be a cure” with 2003 medical knowledge, probably fresh out of medical school when the outbreak happened AND with no proper facilities or even decent electricity. And people TRUST him to kill the only person (a minor, with no knowledge/consent from her own father, not even herself) who is immune (THE ONLY PERSON WHO IS IMMUNE) without doing any tests, even, because he wants to do THE IMPOSSIBLE. Something not even us, with our current technology and money, have found a way to do.
This so called “revolutionaries” (terrorists for some) took a child from her father then lied to her to kill her for a delusion they had, with no proof they actually could make a cure. Then told her father, this deeply bruised (at times violent) man, and hoped he would be alright with it?
Joel did the right thing. And any parent who loves their children (not you, absent daddies) would have done exactly the same

Oscar and Pedro can Eiffel Tower me 😀
Hiii, I was thinking a Patrick Jane x reader where reader isn't taking care of themselves and Jane is the first to notice so he confronts them (what are ur thoughts??) - @fucklife-or-me 💜
It started off small, you forgetting to eat, or bringing food to your desk and leaving it there for hours before you went and binned it.
Then came the yawning, and the nearly falling asleep at your desk, and that’s when Jane finally decided to confront you.
As you walked into the office, coffee in hand, he blocked you from reaching your desk. The others looked up but they never really though twice about it.
“Can we talk?” He whispered.
Blinking, you slowly nodded your head and let him drag you a way to a quiet hallway.
“How much did you sleep?” He asked.
“What?”
You were confused, but you weren’t surprised, he always asked weird questions. You were just confused as to why he was curious about your sleeping habits.
“How much did you sleep last night?” He asked again.
You gave a small shrug and a smile as you sipped your coffee.
“I slept fine Jane, thanks for the concern?”
You went to walk away but he quickly grabbed your arm, gently tugging your back over.
Standing you in front of him, he gently let you go and took the coffee from your hands.
Setting on the floor by his feet, he reached out again and took your hand in his, gently holding it out, then he let go.
Your hand was shaking wildly.
“How many coffees have you asked?” He whispered.
“Only a few…” you softly replied.
He sighed, looking around as he took a step closer, lowering your hand by your side.
“And the last time you ate?” He asked.
You gave a small shrug.
“I… I don’t know…”
Jane nodded his head, and he pulled your hood down from your head, showing your messy hair and the bags under your eyes.
“What’s going on?”
“Just… I’m struggling Jane…”
He nodded his head and pulled your hood back up.
He picked your coffee up and dropped it in the nearby bin.
“I’ll take you to my quiet place, I’ll get you some food then you’re going to sleep, okay?”
“Do I have a choice?”
“None at all.”
You laughed softly and nodded your head, looping your arm with his as he led you away.
You didn’t have any other work to do today, so you you had some time to spare.
Getting up stairs, Jane sat you on the couch, handing you one of his sweaters to change into, and he handed you and blanket.
“Phone.”
He waited for you to hand your phone over to him, then he beamed happily at you.
“I’m going to get you something to eat. Stay here.”
“Promise.”
He nodded and left, and you laid down, waiting for him to come back.
He must’ve left the building because he’d been gone a while, so you decided to nap until he got back.
When he finally did come back you were fast asleep and he smiled, walking over he covered you up with the blanket and set the food he brought from the store on the table before walking across the room.
He picked up his book and started to read, flicking his eyes every so open to check up on you.
He wasn’t going to let you leave this room until you had a solid few hours of sleep and ate at least half of what he brought of you.
Then he was going to take you home, make sure you had a nice relaxing back and stay with you while you slept through the night.
It would only be a matter of time until the rest of the team found out, but for now, as long as he knew he would help you however he could, and when you were ready he would sit down and talk with you for what was going on with you
