You know things are really messed up when one of the most outspoken LGBTQ+ ally bands (Carson Coma) has to explain that they appreciate the Pride flag a fan threw onto the stage, but they can't openly show it because they’re afraid of getting fined, or the venue getting penalized.

(They ended up putting the flag on the microphone stand for the last number, which was a pro-LGBTQ+ song called Pók.)

This happened in Hungary. The current government (FIDESZ lead by Orbán) has banned Pride events, claiming that they “corrupt” children (hence the so-called “child protection law”). Now, they’re also trying to shut down independent media.

If you attend Pride, you can be fined up to €497 — which might not sound like much, but considering the average Hungarian salary, it's a significant amount.

Don't judge or hate Hungarians. Most of us don't agree with the current government! We're really hopeful that next year one of the other parties will win, and after 15 years, we'll finally get a new government.

I don't know why I'm doing this to myself. I just bought "The last days of John Lennon". Some chapters are from the assassinator's perspective (I do not want to name him literally, cuz he wanted to be talked about and famous) and some chapters are fully about the Beatles, there really are interesting stuff in the book

Last night (I said these words to myyyy girl) I was up trying to practice ugly drawing. It's not like when I actually try they're pretty, but I think it's important to learn to be okay with sketching, and the sketch not being perfect and beautiful. So I'm here to share those, so not just me, but random strangers on the internet can laugh at them too.

Context: I was watching a video about how to draw a person to be recognizable. Now, I do not really know how to do that, so I was like, why not try it? These sketches were done under a minute except for the left bottom (it was also made from memory) and left top one (I was too lazy to take it seriously, tho I had a reference and had all the time I wanted/needed).
