Dear #classicalguitarists, what are some fun exercises and etudes for developing a solid p, i, a triplet in the right hand?
For instance, Asturias, Llobet Folias (3 & 4), Brouwer Estudio Sencillo no 4, Giuliani No. 2.Any suggestions and advice is appreciated.
Thanks!

Recording two variations today. It is challenging enough to make a recording of one variation that qualifies as blog-worthy. Even then, you take what you can get sometimes when you’re blogging about everyday practice, on a daily basis.
It is more intimidating to record anything than it is to just play it by yourself. I’m just practicing going from one variation to the next here, with the added stressor of having the camera rolling. I can tell the nerves are there, but the transition wasn’t a as bad as it could be.

Feeling better about this variation tonight. I think one of my problems last night was the strings were old. My nails were in bad shape too. I changed my nails today and feel better about my tone from them as well.

Had a lot to say about this video, but also had several issues while trying up upload the video to Tumblr. Annoying.

I felt that this was better than yesterday’s recording. Improvement, I guess.
I know the melody needs to be more legato. Especially in the consecutive eighth note parts.
Day 11
Feeling kind of sick, like I’m coming down with something. I hope this is not the case, but I really feel very weak and my throat is a little bit sore.
This is an excerpt from Harold Blanchard’s Innocent Meandering. I only listened once, and the recording itself seemed a little bit buzzy, as if I had distortion turned on or something. Maybe one day I’ll learn how to make a better recording with this telephone.
In my old blog I had began this “post some of your practice everyday” challenge. I got a couple of weeks into it and we were finally able to get a work crew (227days after Hurricane Michael) to begin the demo on the house. This disrupted things because I had to move completely out of my home and help around the house moving boxes, making sure pets are safe, etc. Well, it’s day 306 and I am still displaced by Hurricane Michael, and decent available practice-time comes and goes. But, I’m still trying.

The Milan Pavans didn’t look challenging until I started learning them. Working on playing from memory again here. This is my second week working on these. I think now that I have played them by memory, I can start working on more musical aspects.

These get hard after you practice them for several minutes.

Don’t have much to much to about my playing here. But, I did play the A section and the B section. That’s pretty much all I have here.
