Creati Costume Revision! + Alternative color palettes.
Iâm working on a Yaoyorozu redesign but itâs taking a while so hereâs an old animation from 5 years ago.
As an Izuocha shipper, I donât understand homophobic Izuocha shippers. I feel like those people have a thorough misunderstanding of their characters.
I feel like theyâre the same ones who were saying that the Savior Trio trying to reason and humanize their villains was âstupidââ and that they shouldâve just killed them.
The point of humanizing their villains isnât so the readers have sympathy towards Himiko, Touya and Tenko, but to inspire EMPATHY in the world. Itâs to understand them as both the villains and victims they were, so they can see their whole self. Part of why the LOV became villains was due to discrimination.
The âSaving Villainsâ thing has been foreshadowed since chapter 1 when Izuku rushed in to save Katsuki from the Sludge Villain. Izuku is selfless; heâs someone who will aid other people, even when they hurt him and arenât asking to be saved, heâll save them. Heâs the hero whoâll save everyone.
Ochako has always had deep empathy and kindness ever since she was a baby. She saw her parents strugglingâ and decided to help them. Ochako decided to become a rescue hero of all things to earn money; a dangerous job, and the type of hero closest to people in need, because she genuinely wants to help people.
Izuku becoming a UA teacher allows him to guide future generations to be kind and empathetic heroes. The kinda that will reach out a hand to people like Tenko, and the ones society leaves behind.
Ochako establishing a counseling program helps give children an outlet to use their quirks, and to promote positivity for mental health and therapy. It helps people like Himiko, who were rejected and suppressed their needs.
Through connecting to one another, they understood why Himiko and Tenko became villains. Izuku and Ochako try to address the root causes of the problemsâ so less heroes are needed because less people need to be saved.
Saving their villains doesnât mean they absolve them of their actions, some crimes cannot be redeemedâ however, a hero should always strive to deliver justice; not just for the victims of the villain, but also the injustice that the villain faced as a victim.
Trying to empathize with people who became villains helps save other people like Tenko and Himiko before they get hurt and hurt others.
Part of the Izuocha dynamic and their individual characters is that theyâre selfless people who would help anyone who needs it. Theyâre united in this goal of blind justice and building bright futures.
âŚSo Iâm wondering, of all the male x female ships that the fake fans cling toâ WHY IZUOCHA??? The ship where one of its core themes is extending kindness towards people you donât understand or necessarily agree with; isnât that like the OPPOSITE of DISCRIMINATION?!?!đ
âŚâŚ
Anyway, on a totally unrelated noteâŚ
Iâve been thinking of doing gender swapped Izuku & Ochako designsâ so I can draw lesbian izuocha and gay Izuocha.
Definitely not out of spite hahahahaâŚ.
I originally posted this on Amino back in 2021- I didnât have a tumblr thenđ
Next part
Itâs my birthday today so I drew All Might since heâs one of my favorite characters EVER. đ
The drawing Iâm working on is taking a whileđ (itâs a lot more detailed than what I usually do)
So enjoy this animation I made back in 2022!
The BNHA fandom rn when youâre an Izuocha shipper trying to find new content-
but antis invaded the tag and keep trashing the ship:
If you donât like a ship, at least have the decency to tag it as âAnti-â
With Iida, not only is he one of Shoutoâs closer friends- but he also contrasts and parallels Shouto and Touyaâs relationship.
Tenya looks up to his brother, and Tensei is motivated to do better because of that- they have a very wholesome brother-relationship.
While with the Todorokis⌠Touya has literally tried to killed Shouto and even indirectly Natsuo. Shouto has literally done absolutely nothing wrong to Touya- he was a baby when most of Touyaâs trauma was happening, and he wasnât allowed near him growing up. But Shouto still loves him unconditionally.
Even though the relationship between the Iida brothers is so different from the Todorokis- Tenya can still understand how Shouto feels. Tenya couldnât save Tensei- so that was why he had to do everything he could so Shouto could save Touya (and the rest of his family + the civilians)
Tsuyuâs backstory is explained in an extra manga chapter that was then animated in one of the OVAs. We get insight into her family and one of her friends- though we donât really know the reason WHY she became a hero. We still donât in way.
What we do know is that Tsuyu believed a hero is someone who follows the rules. She tells Toga this, and says that Uraraka doesnât care about the rules- she just wants to help, so she asks Toga to listen to her.
In my opinion, Tsuyu isnât really a developed character. Iâd say Ashido and Jirou have more development than her. Tsuyuâs reasoning in what a hero is- contradicts what the audience is shown.
âHeroes should follow the rulesâ
But what about the unjust rules?
Lady Nagant and Hawks are basically child soldiers. When Nagant asked if what theyâre doing is the right thing- the HPSC president responded by pULLING OUT A GUN- when Nagant killed him, that couldâve been argued to be self-defense. Instead, sheâs thrown in jail for people she was groomed to kill, and the murder of the HPSC president was covered up.
Hero society is shown to be corrupt- so I think we shouldâve been shown more insight on how a character like Tsuyu handles the reality that laws arenât always right. I want to see how she wouldâve been forced to reevaluate her way of thinking. How the world that society said it was- was a lot more complicated than she thought.
People should follow the rules- but when the rules are harming people who just want to live their normal lives- we need to make adjustments to the rules so more people donât have to suffer trying to become something they are not.
Tenya was also shown to be a very rule-abiding person at the beginning of the series. Even so, we see what his breaking point is- so whatâs Tsuyuâs breaking point? How does she connect to the Uraraka & Toga arc?
From how I interpreted the arc, Toga was someone who needed to be understood as a human being. The reporter, Curious, wanted to understand her- but she only wanted to understand her as a news headline, as a martyr for the Liberation Army.
Uraraka says in the fight, that she canât ignore all the hurt Toga caused, she canât accept every part of Toga, she canât love her in the way that Toga wants her to- but she wants to understand who Himiko Toga is, why she smiles and why she cries.
Uraraka saw the âuglinessâ in Togaâs heart, and she acknowledged that- but she also saw the beauty and pain in her heart as well.
How does Tsuyu fit into this????
Itâs mentioned that Tsuyu struggled in middle school to make friends, as people couldnât read her expression since she has a poker face. Perhaps she understands the whole âwanting to be understoodâ thing?
It could also be a case of quirk discrimination. As weâve been shown, mutation quirks are looked down upon.
The thing with Tenya is that role was a small part, and yet a big part of the arc he was in. He told Shouto that he is able to be the hero he wants to be now thanks in part to him- and that Shouto can be the hero he wants to be as well; he didnât say much, and yet that says so much more.
IdkâŚmaybe the role Tsuyu couldâve had is something like âShe is someone who was discriminated against for her quirk, and people failed to understand her or see her as a human being- but she had a loving family and friends to support herâ
-so then the conversation couldâve been more like Tsuyu trying to empathize with Toga and let her know that Uraraka was there to support Tsuyu, so now sheâs here to help her as well.
Or it could even have mentioned Tsuyuâs friend from middle school- who also struggled to make friends as well. They were both people who others couldnât understand them (because of their unexpressive faces) and because of that they connected to each other.
I think it was even mentioned that Himiko is the âoldestâ child of her family, soâŚwhat about her siblings? How does she feel about them? Could Tsuyu and Toga being older siblings parallel somehow???
The more I talk about this- the more I wonder if Tsuyu shouldâve saved Toga or have an equal role to Uraraka. There could be a lot of similarities when I really think about itâŚ
I think the âruleâ thing couldâve worked, but I think Tsuyu shouldâve had her own arc and perspective shown for it to have more impact.
Maybe this is just a me- thing, but I think Tsuyu shouldâve been fleshed out more if she is the character supporting one of the Savior trio.
Happy Halloween!
This was actually a Villain OC I made when I was like 5 years old. I forgot her nameđ
Sheâs a Candy Corn ogre. đ¤đ§Ąđ
Tenko/Shigaraki most definitely orphaned more children than Muscular ever has- and even if the story wanted to end his character with death as the conclusion- it doesnât feel as natural to me as an ending than Togaâs.
With how All for One stole Tenkoâs body (and mind to a degree) and then the reveal of him being the true source of Tenkoâs pain (he literally turned INTO the house) I felt like this was something that needed more time to conclude.
We didnât see much of Tenko after he âshattersâ when the truth is revealed. We donât get his perspective between then and his death. So with the ending feeling so sudden- it makes me feel unsatisfied with how the better-WRITTEN villain was concluded.
There was a lot of buildup to Deku trying to find a way to stop Tenko without killing him-
at some point Deku literally drags Tenko away from a battlefield named âThe Coffinâ, and then when Gran Torinoâs cape was destroyed (the cape he gave to Deku when said that death was a form of salvation) it felt like the story was telling the audience that that philosophy was of no use anymore with it being decayed.
Then the story subverts this expectation- after getting the audience invested in the expected ending. So I feel like a lot of fans felt⌠cheated?
I think thereâs probably ways to do an ending with Tenko & the other league members dying- but give them TIME- this ending just made me feel like there was something wanting?
I donât blame Horikoshi for wanting the series to end- heâs been working on this for 10 years! He deserves a break- especially if itâs cost him his health. My only complaint is that I wish Horikoshi took more breaks while making the ending so it gave its characters the time and care they needed for the storyâs final goodbye.
Canât believe these two are still alive but Tenko and most of the League are dead.
Iâm not acting like the League are better people- they most definitely hurt MORE people given that theyâre worldwide terrorists.
With some characters like Toga (someone who wants to live, love, and DIE how she wants to) death actually might be the ending that properly concludes her character. (I know this will make people mad, sheâs 17, but Toga CHOSE her ending)
What Iâm saying is that I donât see why characters like Muscular are alive.
Heâs kind of a background villain; him living or dying doesnât do anything for the story- we donât know his story at all, so it wouldnât change anything about his character- so why is he still here anyway?
Overhaul living is a punishment for him in a way-
but honestly with how other characters didnât have certain arcs concluded (Uraraka letting her parents live an easy life- or if Iida ever got his arm healed after becoming a real hero- or even if Bakugou got that All Might card signed)
Why does the story let Chisaki get a conclusion but not other characters?
Iâm not saying âthe League of Villains are better than Chisaki and Muscular and deserve to live more because ____â
Iâm saying âWhy do these villains that exist as threats for such small slices of the story still live and/or get character conclusions- but other, more fleshed out characters (villains AND HEROES) donât ?â
Canât believe these two are still alive but Tenko and most of the League are dead.
Queen of Halloween
I donât care if itâs only the first of October- itâs spoopy art time
