ౚৠletting go is, ironically, the thing people grip onto the hardest. like trying to float by forcing yourself to sink. like opening a fist while clenching it harder. it doesnât work because it was never meant to be done. itâs something that happens when you stop doing.
people ask how to let go, like itâs a step, like itâs something you have to try to do. but you donât try to fall asleep. you donât try to get lost in a daydream. it just happens when you stop needing it to happen. thatâs the trick. letting go isnât an action. itâs the absence of action.

so how do you let go? stop holding on.
â stop chasing thoughts. theyâll run faster. â stop forcing yourself to relax. itâll tense you up. â stop needing to shift. you already did.
itâs like forgetting a word thatâs on the tip of your tongue. you donât sit there, gripping your brain, demanding it to remember. you let it go, and it comes back on its own. shifting is the same.
and now, letting go in my method.
my method isnât about letting go as much as itâs about realising you were never holding on. there was no struggle, no weight, no distance to cross. you were just convinced there was.
you donât need to gaslight yourself. not really. you just need to doubt reality a little. poke at it. let it feel less real. let your brain hesitate for a second, and thatâs all it takes. the illusion starts to flicker.
do you need to visualise?? only if you want to. but think about it. when you remember a dream, does it take effort? no. it comes back to you. not as something new, but as something old you misplaced. shifting works the same way.
so when you lie there, still and weightless, donât reach. donât try. just let your mind falter. let it wonder, wait... what if i already shifted and just forgot?
because if youâre already there, whatâs left to let go of?

the anti-method (a.k.a., you were never here to begin with).
ౚৠthis isnât a method (well, sorta). no steps, no trying, no reaching. itâs a glitch. a realisation. a quiet little crack in the mirror. it did make *me* shift !!!
there was never a door to open. never a distance to cross. you were never locked out. just lost in a dream, trying to wake up when you were already awake.
people talk about shifting like itâs a journey, a climb, a thing to chase. but what if it was always just a memory?? something lodged in the back of your mind, waiting for you to remember it? like a word on the tip of your tongue. like dĂ©jĂ vu.
you were already there. you just forgot.
i , lie or sit still. donât try. donât force. just let yourself exist, soft and untethered. feel your body like itâs not yours. just a borrowed costume, a dress-up game you forgot you were playing. limbs are foreign. the weight is someone elseâs problem.
ii , ask yourself. " WHAT IF I ALREADY SHIFTED AND I JUST...FORGOT? " not âwhat if i go there,â not âwhat if i shift.â but what if i was always there? what if i just... blanked out for a sec?
iii , your brain will (probably) panic. itâll start grasping at straws, trying to prove youâre still here. trying to reattach you to the illusion. let it fumble. let it glitch. just keep thinking :
â i already shifted. i just forgot. â iâve been there this whole time.
itâs not a theory. not a wish. just a fact you misplaced somewhere along the way.
iv , the mind collapses on itself. how do you know you arenât already in your dr? how do you prove this isnât the dream? the body stops feeling like yours. the world gets flimsy at the edges. and then? the illusion shatters.
v , you remember. not enter. not âget there.â just....remember. your dr? you were in it before you even asked. shifting? you never had to try. it was always just a breath away. you were never locked out. you just forgot the door was already open.
vi , you're there. like the ending of a lucid dream where you suddenly know without needing proof. and thatâs it. you're there. you always were.

the anti-method works for getting into the void as well, as it bypasses the idea of getting there entirely. instead of treating the void as a destination you have to reach, it flips the perspective :
youâre already in the void. you just forgot.
the void isnât something you enter. itâs something you remember. itâs the default state, the space beneath everything else. but your mind, in its little desperate need to cling to reality, convinced you that youâre somewhere else. that youâre here instead of there. this method forces your brain into a logical spiral . . .
â how do i know iâm not already in the void? â how do i prove this isnât the dream? â what if i just⊠forgot?
and because your brain canât disprove it, the illusion starts to crack. your body stops feeling real. the world starts to feel dreamlike. the physical self detaches, and, poof, there you are. or rather, there you always were.
it works because it messes with the fabric of perception. if you stop believing in the difference between âhereâ and âthere,â whatâs left???? just being. just existing. and in that moment of realisation, the illusion of reality collapses. and you remember the void like an old childhood memory suddenly rushing back.
once you're in the void, once the realisation fully sinks in and the illusion crumbles, you're just there. infinite. detached. pure awareness. itâs like waking up from a dream, but instead of waking into your bedroom, you wake into nothingness. and then? well, you decide.
â if you want to affirm, affirm. â if you want to shift, set your intention and let yourself go. â if you want to just exist in the void, soak in the weightless, limitless nothingness.
thereâs no next step because the void doesnât require doing. itâs the ultimate being. you can shape it, or you can let it hold you. either way, youâre already exactly where you need to be.
what happens after? whatever you want. thatâs the whole point.
ౚৠand that is it. no trying, no reaching, just a little oh. moment. a dĂ©jĂ vu in the back of your mind. go play in the dreamscape. you were never here anyway.
you definitely don't require this method, or any method at all to either shift *or* get to the void, but method can be fun ! you can definitely try this one out if you wish.
(Most of my anons were along the lines of this same issue, I want to make a common post for them. I won't be telling you "you're already there" or "persist" I'm going to have a heart to heart conversation with your mental health in mind, this will be a long post)
First and foremost I have to say, this post is very heavily opinion-based. Alright, I'll divide it into topics, and two categories: before shifting and during shifting.
Determining the laws of your reality.
This is where you've got to do most of the work. (Don't worry, it won't be 7 hour subliminal listening sessions) now let's present a very important note: I don't know who you are. But most importantly I don't know what you believe in. Shifting isn't a known set of rules, Shifting doesn't have a single method, it does not have a wikihow page. Everything that exist is because of you. Therefore there are differences in my reality and yours. What you believe in is acting out in reality. LITERALLY.
So first you need to ask yourself some questions, with full honesty, oh and don't apply the thoughts you have by certain reprogramming affirmations, don't force yourself just because you have to persist.
"What am I?" What do you believe you are? Currently, are you a soul, a human? Or you something greater, seek within yourself to answer what you believe.
"What is reality?" How is everything working around you? Why are you here.
"Who is in control?" Who makes you shift. Who or what makes everything happen.
"How to shift?" Self explanatory. If you write with utmost truth on what you think shifting is like and when and how it happens; you'll basically have the code of how reality works for you.
Relax.
After you've gathered your research sheets. Take a breath, since you've got all the answers you need. Now, close your eyes, whenever you like. Imagine a serene atmosphere, for example, sharp sunlight falling on your skin, warming you up, or the rain droplets drowning your senses, as you run across a forest. Tell yourself, "this is what shifting is" , and "I've shifted." That's all it is. You feel some you get some.
Some important realizations,
âą Time is not linear.
âą Failure is a perception.
âą You're not beneath anyone.
âą You don't need to prove yourself to anyone.
âą you'll survive, you'll be alright.
Don't. Kidnap. Yourself.
The title sounds weird, but it is regarding heavily applying the principle of assuming until you have it, to EVERYTHING. Idc if people come after me. I don't want anyone to suffer by stamping their foreheads with "persist!" Even if it works. I love loa, until it crosses over into toxic positively. Don't just put yourself in a coffin; don't become a prisoner to your thoughts! Don't make it feel like there's an angry witch in your mind, who will scream at you if something goes wrong, the problem is! Something might go wrong and you'd end up highlighting the idea that you are being forced to assume against something. Don't feel forced. Simple. (You can still use loa, if you like)
Declutter your mind.
I said it before. and @ilovecatfr explained this here, there's so much in your mind. I can tell. Each and everyone has their own unique spin on shifting. That's great and they put out advice to help people, similarly you... also have it within you. Afterall, these bloggers, big well written and decorated posts are the projection of your assumptions. I'd like to say, majority of the bloggers are kindhearted with the aim to help others. Although for some, you being desperate in their asks is an ego boost, nothing is wrong with feeling good about yourself for your knowledge, but you the person at the other end of this screen, are not a pawn, not just another anon, alright? you know how to shift, look back at what your answers were to the questions.
Control your emotions towards this reality.
I've always wanted to discuss this. Emotions are the puppeteers of this show. They're a grounding mechanism of any reality. If you feel something deeply, you're angry at circumstances you form an attachment to this reality, it keeps you here. Think about what happens to a person when they get disassociation. Similarly belief + emotional investment = reality. Its a code. I can confidently say anyone who has not shifted (... not targeting anyone, genuinely trying my best to help; ty ty back to the text) is because they're giving too much emotional importance to this reality. This can be in the form of stressing that you have not shifted, being worried that you're not in your dr, putting much focus on the "What ifs" of if you wake back in this reality.
But we can't just go BLANK. we're still humans who feel deeply (for now huehue) so what's the solution to this non-issue? Direct these feelings towards your destination, your intended reality! This would mean feeling like your dr self, if you're experiencing negative emotions you can last second convert them to any scenario related to your dr, emotional investment there pays well, here? It just wastes time.
Don't let feelings get the best of you and keep you here; you're their creator after all.
(Optional) Create a homey dr.
This comes from personal experiences. If I don't mention this I won't be completely open with each one of you. I shifted through intense love and reverence for my home. I knew that each and every second spent in this reality led up to me shifting to my home.
So for ease later on when you can't decide between drs, it'll be comforting to have a reality you can call home and choose over and over again.
Rewire.
This is where you come back to what you answered to the questions. Do you like your response? A human is living in a reality, and your answers are the universal law there. Will they have an easy time with shifting? If you think so, then choose to not do any "rewiring" and act upon the answers you wrote, shifting in accordance to them as they have become the pillars of your reality. If you think the person's reality's laws regarding shifting are complicated, then you can choose to rewire them. This can be a simple manifestation. As it has no basis in the 3D yet, you will manifest it within seconds. You can either write it down, listen to a subliminal, or simply think of the new beliefs in your head (eg "I shift in seconds") and let go. Stop.
(Severely optional) strive for spiritual awakenings
*shrugs* I thought I should mention based on personal experience.
Confuse your logical brain
You don't have to give it validation. Instead, just make it unable to predict the next move of it creator. Its built to look at everything with skepticism.. but it has nothing when you don't give it the chance. For example, the anti method by @hrrtshape is the best example. I like that you can do this, pre-method like a little warm up. (You can also manifest to not think logically)
Know your game
To act like you're in a battle field is not the way to shift. You don't have to give the actual practice of shifting much or any importance. You know how to shift, then why is there a need to have plan B's and checking your own environment? You are the commander in front, you're the one switching the reality, your reality is not the one switching.
Senses shift last

Be blind and deaf to each and everything other than your intended reality
...and be so obsessed with your intended reality. Live out entire days, you're there, no, time is not passing by, the previous reality has disappeared by your hyperfixation on your intended reality. Ever done that exercise where you stare at a dot for so long, everything around it disappears? Well then, EXACTLY. Make it dissapear. Make it dissappear by not giving it any more of your energy. ....how I shifted. This is based upon being your dr self, that's snatches away the spotlight from this current reality.
Keep yourself comfortable
All of you are experienced enough to know, you don't need to lay in the starfish position. But remove the unnecessary thought that if you dare move your finger you might mess up the whole attempt (This is a subconsciousness belief) here's how to not worry about your 3D: again, senses shift last, Your current reality = intended reality.
It is about breaking free from human functions
Your software is set to being an earthly human. This is why acting like your current reality (the noises from the environment, physical annoyances) are from your intended reality, helps. This allows you to trick your human brain and move forward. The more you try to make sense of shifting, the more less it'll make sense. You don't have to know everything about shifting. The point is to be awfully natural about it. Just like how you wake up in this current reality without any requirement. You don't overthink it, then why overthink shifting.

it should be something casual to you, not some thing you force and obsess over.
decide where you want to go and let it come to you naturally.

â There was no âoh my god i shiftedâ moment. it all felt very natural to me. Youâve existed in your dr since forever, your âcrâ mind doesnât take over when you shift, hence why itâs so natural when you shift.
â Thereâs no right way to shift. Iâve shifted in different ways (sleep paralysis, lucid dreaming, just simply thinking about being there etc). You can shift in any way you like. my last shift i simply went to bed and it happened! Donât get caught up with worrying if youâre doing the right thing and go with the flow.
â You most likely shift by allowing yourself to do it and not forcing it. Thatâs why people are more likely to shift on accident and not when theyâre forcing it because thereâs no pressure. You have either shifted or not. Decide you have and trust yourself.
â Itâs the easiest thing in the world because you do it all the time. When you shift back itâs like âwait itâs that easy?â. Yes, you donât need to affirm 500 times, visualise, meditate. Itâs simply just deciding you are there and trusting yourself.

Iâm also not saying any of this will absolutely, 100% make you shift, but hopefully it can provide some perspective or insight into something you hadnât thought about! !!! ANTIS DNI !!!
LANGUAGE â Iâve noticed since I first got into shifting that shifters will talk about/treat these realities like fanfiction or a role playing kinda thing??? It confused me before I had shifted because if this is real then why are people talking about themselves in the third person, or referring to others as ânpc/non main charactersâ, or scripting in some crazy trauma for âfunâ??? If you read anything of mine, you will notice I do not use words like âmain characterâ or even âdesired realityâ because for me personally, itâs just reinforcing in my mind that this is not something thatâs real or even close to something I can achieve.
Cut out third person language entirely. Stop referring to your âfailed shifting attemptsâ as such, in fact, stop referencing it AT ALL. Stop keeping track. Stop referring to people in these realities as âmain charactersâ or ânpcs.â Stop coming back from an attempt thinking âdamn I didnât shift.â
INSTEAD, start saying that you shifted every time you attempt. âBut I woke up in my O.Râ who says? only you have a say in whatever reality you want to live in. Fake it til you make it. Start talking about people as they are, people. Use their names or nicknames. Watch a TikTok and think to yourself âyeah Iâd send this to them.â FEEELLLLL IT. MAKE IT REAL TO YOUUUU.
LOGIC â After successfully shifting, I donât tend to think about the âscienceâ or âspiritualâ side anymore BUT this is the logic that makes the most sense to me and is the simplest explanation I can think of. When you wake up in the morning, do you first check your phone or stand up to brush your teeth or stretch? Whatever path you choose is a shift in your reality. Every single choice youâve ever made is a shift in your reality. As far as you know, if you checked your phone instead of stretching, you might pull something later on in the day that you wouldnât have pulled had you stretched. But you didnât. And now thereâs a reality where you stretched, did the exact things, and didnât pull a muscle because you stretched that morning.
THAT is reality shifting in its simplest form.
Manifesting can even be considered reality shifting because youâre shifting your current consciousness into one that is receiving said manifestion. The universe is infinite. Do not let the constrictions of others constrain you too.
âYeah you can shift realities but not to those fantasy places like hogwarts, thatâs not possibleâ why not? If youâve just admitted can shift realities, why are âfantasyâ realities so different to you? Because HERE in THIS reality, they are fantasy. In that reality, it is everyday, it is normal, itâs just another Tuesday. Shifting is simply becoming aware of your consciousness in another reality, similar to switching characters in video game like The Sims 4, from one plumbob to another and yes, that easy.
MEDITATION â You donât need anything to shift realistically, but the one thing I recommend for anything is meditating. Itâs a skill and, like any other, one that can be refined and perfected over time. Learning to get into a state of pure consciousness is a practice that existed for centuries, anybody can do it and doing it will only ever benefit you. You can meditate when you wake up, before you fall asleep, when youâre sitting up, WHENEVER! Iâve always felt better after a meditation, shifting related or not. It also helps me feel better when I donât end up shifting because at least Iâve honed in and practiced that meditation technique, yk? Positives in everything!
OTHER PRACTICES â If nothing else, I recommend trying different spiritual practices and adding a lil sprinkle of shifting in there! This applies to religion as well in case that isnât clear lol. If you donât follow any specific spiritual practice, try pegan spell work (with protection and research ofc), research any herbs that aid in things like enhancing spiritual energy. If you pray to a God, you can âworkâ with your God in a sense to aid you in this personal journey, whether that be through journaling or actual prayer, prayer is an amazing manifestion technique and I do believe it can help with reality shifting considering itâs not against any religions. And if you donât want to do any of this, come up with something for you and you only! A ritual can be anything you make it. You decide what works for you at the end of the day.
REMOVAL â This helped me the most in my opinion, I completely stepped away from online communities doing anything with reality shifting ( specifically shifttok ) and followed my own intuition of how to go about shifting, doing shadow work to figure out any blockages/questions I had, and just overall made shifting fun again for myself! The main thing I did was learn more about manifesting because the manifestion community does NOT play, they do not believe in limitations and they love LOA(ssumption) which is my fav so!
LUCID DREAMING â Not the actual act of lucid dreaming but learning about lucid dreaming and astral projection really makes you understand that anti shifters are so ignorant to what these things actually are itâs insane! People didnât even believe that you could control your dreams 10-20 years ago, they genuinely thought dreams were just something that happens to you. Nowadays, we obviously know that you can control your dreams but this is just proof that nobody knows what theyâre talking about fr. I guarantee you, a few years from now, people are gonna be talking about reality shifting the same way they talk about lucid dreaming, CASUALLY. Reality shifting is not some big thing of grandeur that only âspecialâ people can do, the same way everyone can lucid dream, is the same way everyone can reality shift, and astral project.
All this is to say, stop fucking listening to other people LMAOOO. Thatâs gonna be my advice every single time because too much of anything will become a problem. Advice is good when youâre starting out and I donât mind giving advice on that, but nobody knows you better than you know yourself, even if you donât think you know what to do, I PROMISE you on everything, you know whatâs best for you. You know what works, and you know what doesnât, YOU KNOW. Believe yourself. Nobody else matters.
