I write best at 3 AM because at that time I know I no longer have dignity so rewriting it at a sane hour is 1000% better
1st draft or nothing usually though
How do people even draft
Heeey.
I moved this blog’s dedicated thing into a side blog :) it’s Here! I’ll post over there about The Feylands from here on!
I’ll still post here (Feylands things or other,) but this’ll be my main blog now. I’ll post my regular art on it and do, normal things!
And also redesign this space to be more Me-core instead of Feyland based, haha.
Messaging people for the first time is so hard. What am I supposed to say? Like, "You seem really odd and your blog intrigues me. Do you want to have philosophical conversations or perhaps talk about fictional characters?" What! Whatever. I will just follow you back and stare at your blog with my big beautiful brown eyes.
Extensions :)
(Not much) More under
Okay it’s a lot more under
Their Monarchies were called Courts because the leadership and cities were built on massive Courtyards that still stand to date. Though they are abandoned (Nobody wants to occupy them because it’d be like saying you’re Crowned/genuinely rude to them) they are commonly used as marketplaces while avoiding the main castles. This is also why their Capital is not even remotely in the center of the continent: too many Court-grounds are located centrally.
Magic exists and is studied. Mageis is named and was primarily started to push studies of magic and educating *everyone* and spreading that knowledge. It’s basically a massive teacher organization (as well as magic wizards shit but that’s aside.) I’ll go more into depth after general species and environments are done.
Yes they wear badges and they color coordinate because that’s neat.
In the Third image is a leader not displayed yet! He’s a Drake so he’ll come eventually. I didn’t do his colors justice he’s such a sparkle dog.
Mirtyn (green wyvern) and Cirn (Blue Phoenix) are mentor & Trainee relationship.
To take a break from Griffeuxes:
Feylands Government System!
They use to hold a multitude of Monarchies across the continent, but after several riots against the multiple monarchies and a lot of cleaning up: Six organizations came about to instill order and have been working cleanly after a few hiccups.
I have unifying colors for them and Flags!
In order:
Gis (Argriculture & Rural affairs)
Thalimis (Architecture, infrastructure & Water incorporation)
Ourinis (Communication, Transportation & Imports/exports)
Nekis (Law Enforcement & Millitary matters)
Mageis (Education)
Ygeis (Healthcare)
All the original leaders commissioned or hand-crafted their flag.
(Socialist Oligarchy With six major Organizations)
Additional pieces before I do some proper headshots!
I get to explode about Griffeuxes!!
Governance Worldbuilding Questions:
What forms of governance exist (do they differ by region)? For example, monarchy, democracy, tyranny, oligarchy, anarchy.
What is the biggest threat to stable government in your world?
Who is the most loved leadership figure (or the most hated and feared) and why?
Who governs key parts of your world (e.g., this may be the pilot of a spaceship in a sci-fi story)? Will the head honcho change?
Where are the major centers of power and administration in your world, and why are they located in these places?
Where are laws and policies enforced the most, and where is the long arm of the law weakest?
When were the laws that most affect your characters passed? Are there any troubling ones on the ballots?
When did this world’s current system of government or political system come into existence, and what were the historical and cultural factors that led to its formation?
Why do characters either support or resist the government? In what ways it is benevolent or abusive?
Why do individuals or groups hold power to govern? Is it a birth right system, an electoral one, or the result of a coup or other event?

Just as a reminder that I DID move my Feylands art over here!
Hiya!
this is an Art and Lore blog about a Mythological-centric continent called The Feylands. This Continent is filled with mythological creatures living their day to day lives!
This world has several sentient species—Dragons and their subtypes, Griffins and Phoenixes— living on the land- in Caves and cliffs, Woodlands and plains. This blog is all about these species adaptations to the world they live in, their culture and religion, and even their magic systems!
Each species will have their own tag below for easier sorting, and further sorting will be done once the world expands even more on here.
Thanks for visiting! (Updated Profile Picture and Wall art soon!)
Draconic will cover all of the dragon types!
>>>Dragons tags will be linked here
>>>Drakes
>>>Wyverns tags will be linked here
>>>Raptors tags will be linked here
Griffins tags will be linked here
Phoenixes tags will be linked here

My Main blog
If you’re interested in My Art in General! (related or unrelated)
I’m not completely done with Griffeuxes (there’s still so much to be talked about with them!), but I’m a bit of a multi-tasker: So! The next species I’m focusing on are the Wyverns!
But since they are apart of the draconic four-pack (Dragons, Drakes, Wyverns and Raptors) I’m going to tackle them a bit differently!
Soon.
What was your first spec?
I got two answers since I want to hit both instead of miss either of them,
My first *true* speculative Biology project would be for a different world idea of “what if a continent was just filled to the brim with giant fucking bugs.” I created a giant tropical jungle with megafauna and strangely large bugs. And, with my fascination with dragons I threw in giant honey-bee esq. Dragons with Spider drakes too. It’s a side project from Feys.
A general Bee dragon below after years of redesigns and settling on a more beetle-esq look.
I can’t claim to have made a first species *because* I just really liked drawing dragons and figuring out what could make them tick, and then that desire to make a bunch more dragon-centric worlds with additional look-ins to their deeper biology and social dynamics and eventually I just decided to give them a government, hah.
Hope this answered!
