I want a couple more bikes and maybe a cat. Would that solve anything? No. Would it be fun? Yes. Do I need either of these things? Also no. Would my wife approve? Again, surprisingly, no.

So close to a win for Tadej… I think he got blocked on the climb and then was looking for a wheel to follow. Was hoping to see him do some magic on the final climb and pull a gap but alas, no such luck. Great race!

Stretching + post-workout recovery are things I never had to do when I was younger. But it’s now a vital part of my routine. Not surprising I guess but still a funny thing to think about.

Rather than making cars heavier and larger for safety, what if we made them all lighter and smaller — and slowed them all down? We could reduce costs and invest elsewhere (public transit, education, healthcare, etc.) Cars have a place, but by and large we’ve built American society in a way that cars are a *requirement* rather than an *option*. With reliable and efficient public transit, cars can become a choice — rather than the only way of getting around.
