Newest water marble, the one I'm currently wearing. I forgot to take pictures of some that I've done over the past few weeks, oops. I had to chop my nails pretty short recently, but let it never be said that water marble only works/looks good on long nails! And I've found I really prefer the look of marbles that use colours from the marble as the base instead of white. It minimizes the appearance of bubbles or bald spots, and if you accidentally wipe off an edge of your design while you're cleaning up around your nails, there isn't any glaring white showing through. It just looks neater and more polished.
colours used: China Glaze Purr-fect Plum, and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Lacey Lilac

...Leroy Berry IS black. Brian Stokes Mitchell has a lighter skin tone than the crew member who posed for the picture from the pilot episode, but he's definitely not white.

In response to this bullshit.
You know what, Tumblr? I think 1000+ of you guys are grossly underestimating the awesomeness of having female friends. You can steal their clothes and talk about both Lady Issues and Non-Lady Issues with them and if you happen to get blackout drunk in their company, you can be pretty sure that they will not take advantage of you (aside from maybe taking some regrettable pictures and refusing to untag you in them). They can counsel you on things that, let’s face it, guys generally do not understand (both shallow and serious). I love having guy friends, but I also loooove having female friends. I don’t know why there’s this stigma surrounding girl-girl friendships, but it needs to end.
You say “Girls stab you in the back?” No, kids, bad friends stab you in the back. Gender has nothing to do with it. “Girls are catty?” Not all of us! Just like how not all guys aren’t super-cool chill bros who “have your back” all the time! The genders aren’t divided along such simple lines. Stop acting like they are, and stop encouraging lady-on-lady hate. Because honestly, if you don’t get along with any of the girls you know, I hate to be the bearer of bad news… but the chances are good that you are the problem.
Recently the actors who play Rue and Cinna have come under attack from Racist fans of the Hunger Games. Reblog if you support the casting of Amandla Stenberg, the adorable and talented actress who plays Rue, and Lenny Kravitz, the unquestionable genius who plays Cinna. More @ eonline.
wow i didn't even use a translator for that last update is this is getting ridic. 'privacy' threw me off because the p got cut in half and i couldn't figure out wtf 'anrivacy' was til i saw the next line, but wow.
thank u homestuck for teaching me morse code
So I'm really disliking all the supposition I'm seeing that since Caliborn basically said that mean=nice in cherub culture, this means Calliope must be super sinister and evil. Like I'm pretty sure that being sweet and affectionate toward all her friends wasn't meant as some weird twisted cherub 'fuck you' to them or anything. Calliope immersed herself in the cultures of other species, so I'm pretty sure she has a firm understanding of the concept of being pleasant and polite towards people she cares about.
That said, wow those empty eye sockets were not something I was expecting. It's kinda interesting though, because her death as a cherub is sort of a weird special case to begin with, and like, there's still a living body somewhere out there that her soul used to inhabit. idk, I don't have any actual theories about this, but it makes me think about LE's billiard eyes and whether that affected Calliope in any way or something, I don't know where I'm going with this.

Things on Glee I don’t give a shit about:
- April Rhodes - Mr. Schuester - Holly Holiday - Mr. Schuester
ANY ADULT - other than the Hudmels and maybe one good Sue moment every few episodes.
Sigh. I wish Glee would figure this out.
Other than adding Beiste to Burt, Carole, and occasionally Sue, THIS!
Saw this on the Klaine tag and didn't want to just rattle off a few fanfics without actually describing them, so a rebloob it is:
Together, We are the Oceans: Soon after Kurt's transfer to Dalton, the Warblers land a gig singing on a cruise ship over Christmas break. This fic is very sweet, has some mild angst, and is definitely very well written. It was written before Kurt and Blaine actually got together on the show, so it's basically an alternative get-together fic.
Confidence: This fic is a must read! It was inspired by the knowledge that Chris Colfer originally tried out to play Artie, and that Darren Criss once tried out for the role of Finn. In this story, Blaine occupies Finn's role as the football captain dating the head cheerleader, Kurt occupies Artie's role as the kid in the wheel-chair, and the whole thing re-writes season 1. Kurt and Blaine and the development of their relationship in this is amazing, and it's interesting to see how differently things go for the entire Glee club under this premise. (Link is to the first chapter, but navigation is a little confusing, so here's the first page of her tag for this fic.)
Where There's Smoke: Kurt Hummel has successfully escaped Lima, Ohio, and is living in New York, working primarily as a costume designer while waiting for his big break. Blaine is a Fire-fighter who was born and raised in Brooklyn. When they meet by chance, sparks fly, and the fic follows the story of how they get to know each other and fall in love. It's such a sweet, fluffy comfort fic.
So, I hope those were what you were looking for and that you enjoy them. :)
Okay, so basically the only fic I read is Little Numbers.
I’ve read most of GYOW but it’s just not my cup of tea.
So I was wondering if any of my lovely followers (or anyone that sees the tags) could recommend some to me?
I want something sweet that is really well written. A little angst is ok too. I don’t mind if there is sex, but I don’t want that to just be the focus.
Thanks so much guys!!!
:T My Man is pretty appalling lyrically, but seriously, as much as people joke(?) about it, Baby it's Cold Outside isn't actually about date-rape. I mean, there is one line that is suspect in a modern context, but 'say, what's in this drink' was a far more innocuous phrase before roofies were invented and became an actual thing to be concerned about. Like, the song is basically "boy I sure would love to stay and snuggle, but it would be pretty scandalous if I didn't get going, now. Talk me out of leaving? :D" "Okay! :D"
Baby it’s Cold outside, which is basically about a lead up to date rape. Fail.
My Man which is basically about dropping everything and dignity for a man. Feminism fail.
But the songs are so good, dammit!
Darren Criss on Johnjay and Rich; November 17, 2010
aka “The Bagel Incident”
The following radio interview took place just days after Never Been Kissed aired on Fox. Darren was still very much a newbie to the industry. Some…choice actions on Darren’s part ruffled the feathers of the radio djs a bit…
Listen and enjoy and try not to get irrationally angry, but feel free to laugh at the irony of Darren blasting to stardom only a few months after this transpired.
